Unacceptable and unpredictable wait time for breakfast -- you are not likely to make your ferry time. A simple egg breakfast should not take 45 minutes to deliver! WE WILL NOT RETURN. Our story: We had a party of four; we arrived and ordered about 0915 on a Saturday -- over two hours after the restaurant opened, so we expected the grill to be hot, and the crew to be awake and engaged. In short, we were very disappointed. There was only one other couple in the restaurant, which was empty otherwise. Our order was taken promptly and courteously, but then the interminable wait began. We finally got our breakfasts between 1000 and 1005, just in time to get a take-out box and make a dash for the ferry! WHY: We saw three staff members seen on duty. One member of our party noticed that a woman, possibly the cook, entered the kitchen at about 0935. The manager arrived after that. We surmise that the kitchen simply had no fry cook between 0915-0935. Why did the waitress not advise us that our orders would not be prepared promptly? We do not know -- conversations with the manager did not reveal this info. The place is apparently mismanaged.

Dont bother with this place. Driven by several time over the years and decided to stop in for lunch. Service was mediocre at best. You order at the counter in front and they hand you a number. If tou want a soda they give you a styrofoam cup and say it over there help your self. I ordered their "Special". Pastrami and Pepper jack on sourdough and soup. I even asked if was a decent size sandwich and was told yes its a big one. Sorry but if thats a big one I would hate to see what a normal sandwich looks like. It was literally a slice or two of commercial flavorless meat, a slice of cheese and some vegies. Yup that was filling. My 10 year old could have done better. Along with the bland institutional tomato bisque. And to think I paid almost $12 and waited half an hour for that. And they werent busy at all. Cant even give it any stars.

I had been looking forward to hitting this place up for awhile now but was a bit disappointed. The folks who worked there were AWESOME though! When you walk in you order your food at the checkout counter and grab your number which was odd to me because the line would form where people were trying to sit. If you would like alcohol the bar is to the back past the pool tables, there was almost no space to order a beer but the bar tender was sweet and friendly. The food and drink were good but the price was a bit much for what you got...guess you paid for the view ;)

Whats the definition of insanity? Yes, Ive gone back several times because I live within walking distance but it keeps being a bad experience. If you want a beer or nachos or a burger or to play pool this is the place. If youre going on the ferry and you want a sandwich, your options are few. Weve had sandwiches, dinner and have been underwhelmed to say the least. This is a before episode of Bar Rescue. It could be so much better. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the owner and she could not have cared less. I had hoped for more.

Typical dive bar, very little parking unless you like 4-wheeling in a pot hole / crater filled gravel parking lot, are we all riding horses, I parked about a block away. Way over priced. Old building perfect for a dive bar, liquor bottles looked open, I wouldnt want to use them, craft beer didnt seem right, you guess. Slow food service probably tring to get that beer used up. Some staff were ok, some were miserable. This ones off the list.

This wonderful Pub-n-Grill has excellent Karaoke on Friday and Saturday nites. Easy to hear yourself, to sing without straining, good monitor. Their Taco Tuesdays are Tasty! Love their clam strips and build-your-own sandwiches. Staff is friendly and fast. Walking in is like stepping back in time except for the electronic devices of course! There are all kinds of cool surprises that you simply must see and taste for yourself!

Their breakfast is mediocre at best. The rest of their food is like other bars: great when your drunk. Low quality ingredients with more oil than needed. Come for the beer, leave for the food. My personal expierience was on a slow saturday, the were about 5 other people eating as well. After waiting an hour i received a cold, oily, chorizo scrambler. My stomach hurt afterward. Just beware.

I live around the corner from and frequent this pub often. Food is good! Good beer selection! Now that the good is out if the way, on to the bad. If they are busy, turn around and leave. The staff cant keep up. Patrons stand in line for 10 plus minutes without orders being taken or the staff acknowledging you. It pains me to say that.

Every time I enter this establishment, I am greeted with a smile and always have a good time. The premier establishment of the entire state of Washington. Blows the trendy bars of downtown Seattle out of the water. If you get the chance, please visit. Its worth the line.

The Steilacoom Gobbler was the best but the service was subpar. It took the lady a while to take our order and she said "if you want to order you have to come over here". I felt that it was rude. But the food was the bomb.

Staff was pleasant. Its a dive joint, so typical atmosphere. Ordered the fish and chips - I wasnt a fan. It was greasy and over battered. Id probably go for a beer again, but likely not for a meal.

I went for karaoke on Friday night. The atmosphere was really good. They are not afraid to put alcohol into the mixed drinks. My regular drinks were as strong as most places doubles.

Great place. Great food! Atmosphere is great. Love the holiday band in the parking lots. Great place to get involved with the community and meet people with the weekly events.

Frequent hang out. Like the Fried Chicken and the Natchos (no chilli). But the best part about this place are the people. Both the wait staff and the patrons. Just a fun hangout!

Always have, always will. Small town, simple design and good food with a great selection of beer. The owner never lets you go unnoticed and leads her staff by walking the walk.

The Pub is the place to be in Steilacoom! Beautiful location and pretty good food! Their sandwich menu is creative and delish. Great place to grab a lunchtime beer and burger!

The selection (and price) of beers is the main reason that this IS MY SPOT. Add to that, the pours are generous and the food is above average pub grub. When in Steilacoom,...

Decent sandwiches for take out. Didnt done in, but place looks like a standard hole in the wall bar. Cheap furniture and decorations, consider it a dive bar.
