Despite of all reviews here, we decided to try this place out - and ended up coming back several times. This restaurant is a gem!! Beautiful views, sunny wooden patio (where our little dog was allowed), delicious breakfast! Prices were pretty decent and the portions were large! Service was mostly friendly. We went here for breakfast twice and also came for dinner and every time we loved everything. Will definitely be back and recommend to everyone vacationing in Friday Harbor. PS We ordered omelette for breakfast - was excellent. For dinner we had tiger shrimps on mashed potatoes - it was fantastic albeit quite pricey. The only thing we wouldnt order again is Captains Platter - as cod was far from perfect. Otherwise guys this place is really good.

Everything was wonderful! They have tremendously improved their menu and wait staff. The service was the shining part. They were very attentive and fun to chat with. Had good knowledge of the menu and were able to find something gluten and dairy free for my dietary needs. All the food was great. My salmon was cooked perfectly. My husband and our kids loved everything that they got. The rodeo burger was absolutely amazing. Even the fish and chips I nibbled on were good. Prices were a little higher than I was expecting at first, but later in our trip learned that everywhere else on the island was just as expensive, if not even more. I would definitley go back and reccomend it to my friends and family who are planning to visit.

They were not really able to accommodate gluten free. I had a burger without a bun, which makes it difficult to eat. Im positive the fries would have been cooked in a shared fryer, so not safe for celiac. Although I didnt ask to confirm. I opted for the "garden salad" which was described as romaine and veggies. It was actually romaine, white onion, tomato, one sliced mushroom, and prepackaged, not fresh carrots. The vinaigrette that it came with was not good. The beef patty was tasty. My husband did not enjoy his fish tacos either. He said the fish was tasty, but the "slaw" was just cabbage, and there was so much of it, that it didnt fit in the taco and just made a mess. Would not recommend.

Horrible experience here last Thurs night, 9/24 for dinner. I had ordered the haibut dinner plate; fish came out undercooked and still slightly frozen. The waitress apologized, took the plate back and recooked a new slice of halibut. Unfortunately they served the warm fish w/ the same rice and vegetables that were on the original plate they first brought out (cold by now). The specials posted outside the restaurant also stated all beers $1.00 off on thurs. evening. The waitress did not deduct the discount special and when we asked about it she said it only applied during happy hour- clearly she did not know her restaurants own specials for the evening. Very disappointing.

Awful. I brought my family here March 18th, 2017 and it was the worst experience Ive ever had. The smoked salmon grilled cheese is raw salmon on cold bread and cheese is not melted. I took one bite and the waitress didnt even care that I didnt like it. I had to write on the receipt that it was cold and it was NOT what was described on the menu. Both my boys had the French dip and they could barely chew through the meat. Not to mention this was a $90 lunch! The waitress clearly did not want to be there and did not care about the service she provided. Eat at the crab shack next door. I am still in shock with our food and service and it was a week ago.

Ordered a double shot vodka with 7 and received single shot of vodka and soda in a tall glass. Tasted like straight water. If you have a child, dont bother ordering from the kids menu very little variety and low quality. My grandson complained about the sandwich and didnt want to eat it because he thought the bread was stale. Staff friendly enough but could tell that they were anxious to go home even though it shows closing time is 11. We arrived at 10pm from the ferry and was one of the only restaurants open. 2 adults we ordered only appetizers and a drink so we finished within 30 min from closing hours.

We stumbled across this restaurant while waiting for the ferry. We started off with fantastic flavored lemonades and jalapeno poppers. Not expecting too much of a bar and grill we ordered the salmon burger and veggie burger. Both were excellent. For one, the salmon burger wasnt a burger and was an actual piece of fillet seasoned and cooked perfectly. Add to that a homemade and actually good veggie burger, good fries and we were both happy. Sounds simple but homemade veggie burgers are a rarity, and good ones even more so. We left happy and full.

My salad came out with my meal, ,the waitress got to us when she could, too many tables it looked like to me for her to handle (2). My fish n chips had bones through out it, I was disgusted when I actually seen with my 2 eyes the cook in the kitchen at the time wipe his nose 2 times on the back of his hand that had NO gloves on them as hes preparing everyones food, My stomach is hurting so bad right now. Im going to enjoy my evening that I had planned with my husband on this beautiful island back in the room on the toilet, No Joke!

I went to Blue Water Bar & Grill this last Friday with friends and family. With it being the holiday season they were slammed busy and still were very attentive, polite and service was relatively fast. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating by keeping our drinks full while we waited. The food and drinks were tasty. My favorite breakfast is the Crab Eggs Benedict...delicious. As for prices, they are pretty common island prices. All-in-all we were satisfied customers.

Food was fine, prices to high for the horrible service we recieved. Our host seemed very friendly but it was a bait and swich. We were seated and didnt see our waitress for 20 minutes. When we fid shr wasnt friendly. Worst anniversary experience. We didnt get half of what we ordered, my drink never came. Waitress spent quite a bit of time with a couple of people she knew. We stayed 5 days in Friday Harbor and wouldnt even order a drink there after that experience.

Had breakfast here. The food was great. We had the French toast which was this giant mound of amazing apple, raisin, carmel topping goodness. The view of the bay was something to behold as well. The service was pretty iffy tough. Our waitress was not very helpful in accomidating our seating needs and was not seen for about five to ten minutes when we were ready to order. Still recommended for the food and views if you have patience with the staff.

Went there 2 nights ago. WHAT A MISTAKE THAT WAS! Messed up drink order to begin. Ordered 4 appetizers : artichoke / crab dip (tasteless!), coconut "prawns" ( in reality, very small shimp), oyster shooters (werent even cold), seared tuna (8 tiny, quite small slices). All overpriced! Waaaay too much money for the little bit if food we had. I left hungry to boot. Id give it NO STARS IF IT WOULD LET ME, UGH.
