I went in to check out the place with me and my family, with me, my brother and his girlfriend all ordering the steak while my mom ordered the Salmon. Initially when we all received our dishes my moms dish had barely any salmon on it; very confused we asked our waiter about how much salmon the salmon dish should have and received the response of 8 oz. We obviously did not receive the 8 oz that was listed on the menu so we asked for the 8 oz listed, the kitchen staff and owner came out and told us that was 5 oz, and they aimed for around 5-8 oz. Throughout the exchange they were generally very rude, and far from understanding. Unfortunately even with all that complications, my steak that I ordered was well done, though I ordered it rare, and we had to ask the owner about the steak, and he was already very upset to be having to deal with us; seemingly with a short temper. I cut the steak up and asked him what it looked like, and he said medium rare to well done, and stomped his feet on the way back to the kitchen to get the proper cut. The asparagus we got back for both our dishes was very charred and put on the dirty side of the grill; though we initially got some fine pieces prior; probably because the kitchen was very upset to deal with us. For my brother and his girlfriend thankfully did not have any complications with getting to food properly to the table, but the steak was just fine, though I heard from my mom that the salmon was quite dry and overcooked. I was a bit upset to have the staff of this restaurant treat us this way, though we were paying 120$+ for high quality food and service, we received mediocre food, and absolutely terrible service. I would not come again and I recommend others to stray away.

Came off the road & stayed in Corvallis. We were about 6 deep and in a search for dinner, when 3 of our friend broke off and chose to eat McDonalds...We ventured on! Luckily we did because what we discovered altered the night before us. We walked in and were greeted to the Finals game, where we were sat by a beautiful younger woman who turned out to be the owner. She was very friendly and the location was nice, the wood theme that ran throughout the building was very appealing. We all ordered the Island Burger, and continued to watch the game (in a very peaceful part of the restaurant suggested to us by the owner). We then were greeted by the waiter who offered a couple free drinks on the house, we kindly accepted and he brought out what I believe was there own house beer that was VERY good! Finally after all the gracious gestures our food arrived...and it was 1 of THEEEE BEST Burgers I have had in the Northwest (or maybe the west coast in general). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR GREAT SERVICE & GREAT FOOD AT A GREAT PRICE!

In a city that can truly boast more breweries than Starbucks, one more pub is a risky sell. But I really really liked House of Brews. They have a unique menu that departs from the typical burgers and fries of some of the other brew pubs in town, and the food is pretty tasty! Im a vegetarian, which normally isnt a problem in Corvallis, but for some reason brew pubs have a really hard time coming up with a menu that includes vegetarian food that tastes good and goes with the drinks offered up. After a while, I get kind of tired of eating the same sun burger over and over again, no matter how much blue cheese I put on it. BUT, HoB offers a much wider selection of vegetarian options that match the non-vegge options without being ordeal. I had the Bahn Mi vegetarian hot dog. It was super beautiful and super spicy. The star of the show is definitely the beer selection, however. SO MUCH BEER, and they offer several on draught. House of Brews just shot up to the top of my list of favorite date night spots in Corvallis.

We waited an hour for 4 relatively expensive burgers (noon to 1pm). Sides cost extra. There were 4 other tables in the entire restaurant. Id hate to see what the wait is like if they ever manage to get a lunch rush. We typically have a beer or two with lunch, but none of our group ordered one today when we saw the prices. Beer prices are astronomical compared to everywhere else in town ($1 to $2 too high, depending on the beer). The wait staff was great, the atmosphere is nice, and the food was good. I prefer crispy fries, so the somewhat soggy variety was a letdown. The brussel sprouts were good, but they have a bizarre pricing scheme for sides. If your table orders more sides, the price per side goes down. Who does that? Its ridiculous and overly complicated. Plus it screws people who are eating alone that only want one side dish. I just cant see this place staying in business long. We all agreed that none of us would bother coming back with friends or significant others.

Im very torn on this place. Good: Excellent burgers, I got a buffalo with blue cheese and it was A+. The wait staff was very friendly, the atmosphere and furnishing were comfortable, the food was honestly really good. Im never going here again, but they do have good food. Bad: Price. Pints of beer that cost $5 or $6 here are like $3.50 to $4 most other restaurants in Corvallis. Burgers are of good quality, but the cost is high, especially considering they come without sides. You have to pay $3-$4 more for fries (they charges less per person if more people order sides). The wait was for food was ludicrous. A solid hour for 4 people to get burgers. This was around 1pm, and there were only 3 other tables seated. It was not busy. You can get a great burger and beers elsewhere in Corvallis for less money and half the time.

Well if your looking for the most expensive bland burger in town this is the place. In my opinion a 15 dollar burger should at least come with fries not for an additional 4 dollars. The service was decent everyone is dressed very nice except this older guy who just shows up at your table. Im assuming manager or something but he wasnt dressed nice like the other employees the first time he showed up we didnt even think he worked there. It was the worst burger Ive had in corvallis for having bacon and blue cheese all I could taste was steak sauce. It does have a good beer selection thats all Ill give it. It was over 50 bucks for my wife and I to each have a burger and 1 beer. Definetly never going back

OK experience if its open. We try to come here but always have a backup restaurant in mind. A lot of times they seem to be closed for dinner way before the listed times online. May be under new management so things could be changing. When we do go here, service seems slow. Last time they sat us down and told us it would be a 30 minute wait for food... but the place looked like a ghost town. Strange. Theyve pared down the beer selection and serving sizes and offerings recently. Just surprising to me how this place is almost always empty when across the street there are long waits for tables at Block/Sky High.
