Backwoods is an amazing little space. It delivers way more than one expects when they drive up. The selection of food is great, and it is all really tasty. There beers are expertly brewed and simply delicious. The artwork on the walls and the decor/tables are really fun too. The staff is also top notch. They are very friendly and take good care of their customers. I usually find myself at Backwoods about 4-6 times a months during the warmer months. I spend a lot of time on the Pacific Crest Trail in the Carson/Stabler area. I always stop at Backwoods for a pint if I can. On Summer weekends expect a wait for a table at almost anytime of the day. I promise, however, that it will be worth it! They have an outside patio area, and my pup has always been welcome. There is table service on the patio.

Short version: Backwoods is amazing. GO THERE. Long version: After scouting out the Gifford Pinchot tree patch, the hubs, dog, and I were hungry for some beer....and food. The patio is dog-friendly, complete with water bowl and biscuit :) We got the 14 taste flight. Ive shared our thoughts in photos. We tried the Reuben, the bacon jalapeño strips, and the little logger pizza. ALL of it was awesome. The cream cheese-Sriracha concoction for the B.Jalepeño strips was tasty. Theyve got growlers, bombers, and 6-packs to go. Prices were in line with anywhere else in the area. Of what we got, we could not eat everything...and we love to eat :) What more do you really need?

I dont know if I love Bourbon more than Bourbon Barrells...but Bourbon Stout feels great in your soul. Here too the beer matrix has been transcended. Stout chocolate malt and Bumblers Honey Imperial 10%! Devils cut...hop-danger. Hop into the light.... Is it the best craft brewery in the USA...maybe very close. Their IPAs go to 11! 11%. And stouts to the deep end at 12%. Tequila/beer is fantastic as an imperial but what if they added Mescal to get the roasty flavors? Mescal Stout? Dare to beer, I meant dream. Brisket over burgers alert! Take the long road to your smoked beef for once. The trinity of beer and food in our very midst!

My Husband and I really loved this place hes an IPA Lover and me more of a stout/porter. I did see a blueberry wheat and had to try it, which it had a strong taste of berry and was very light and refreshing. They also sport a 10% called the Bumbler! Surprisingly drinkable with notes of Honey. We also had Dunch here ;) we split the Buffalo Chicken Nachos and Hummus Plate. We were stuffed and both agreed we would make the trek back very soon.

Backwoods has excellent pizza, at first they brought out our medium half/half pizza wrong but they made up for it by making the other half a whole small pizza for free! Many different toppings offered including vegan cheese. The beers were pretty good too, we liked many of the beers in our flight. Descent prices, probably one of the best restaurants in the area!

We had a really great time here on a Sunday evening. Very hardworking efficient friendly staff. The pizza was really excellent, and most Pizza is 80% okay, 10% inedible, and 10% excellent. His fell in the 10% excellent range. Maybe it was the big chunks of artichoke on the pizza which I really love. Nice comfortable decor. The beer of course was very nice.

Excellent place to stop for a beer and grub after a hike in the Gifford Pichot Forest area. The hunger and need for calories makes this place taste even better. Plus Kevin is a cool guy. Kevin, thank you again for these one of a kind coasters gifted a few years back. I still tell everyone about that overall experience over the Christmas break.

Excellent staff, friendly and very comfortable atmosphere. The variety of different brews which samples are giving to assure your money spent is satisfyingly satisfying and well worth spent. There food is excellent, with them even willing to make one to your taste if its not listed. We will always visit when in the area.

Fantastic pizza and beer. I had the pesto chicken, the crust was crispy and buttery perfection. Nice house salad with greens, toms, onion, and seeds was a good accompaniment. Beer was also on point. My fav was the pils, Im a simple kind of guy. what3words ///fancy.cuff.economical

Very nice atmosphere. Fast service. Great prices. Outstanding beer and amazing pizza. Even gluten free crust for wife. Will be making it a regular stop. Love the Tropic Thunder Pizza, jalapeños, pepperoni, pineapples. Perfect blend of spice and sweetness. Very good!

I make a point to stop by this place every time Im out in the gorge. Great food, great beer including some creatively original selections, plus friendly staff make this place top notch. Make sure you try the beer sampler and I highly recommend any of the salads.

Backwoods Brewing Co. is awesome! The Logyard IPA is by far the best IPA Ive ever had. I first purchased it out of Woolley Market in Sedro Woolley, WA and then the Navy Exchange in Marysville, WA. Hopefully this beer continues to expand and make an appearance.

Its quite a drive, but so beautiful. We enjoyed the fabulous hummus plate, one of the best weve had, also ordered a pizza, very good as well, and of course, the hand crafted brews are fabulous, worth the drive from the Couve to come here!

Pretty sweet little spot. We have a 1-year old, and he was able to run around the whole time we we enjoyed pizza and beer. They have chalk set out for kids, and let the kids chalk up their whole back patio area. They also had gluten free pizza!

We were there on the day of Logtoberfest so it was PACKED. The staff was friendly considering how harried they were that day. Real nice food selection and the beer/ale is top notch. Friendly dogs are welcome on the outside patio.
