Every other month my friend, Bart, and I try a different "local" restaurant in Burien. Tonight he chose Happy Garden, based on the reviews given by three others. Im happy to include a 4th positive review for the place. The staff was very attentive and friendly, the food cooked & presented well. We arrived around 5 pm on a Friday and the place was filling up with regular customers by the time we left. There was one "Twilight Zone" moment when I realized I was eating brocolli beef while the overhead speakers played "Rawhide" followed by "Puff the Magic Dragon." Somehow the interesting choice of music added to the good feel of the place. Its definitely worth a visit next time youre in the mood for Chinese!

I normally adore this place, but this past hour and 20 min was incredibly frustrating. I call to place my order the girl who answered said "like" way too many times, she didnt give me my price, an hr goes by and I call again "oh im sorry he left like 30 minutes ago he should be there soon, sorry for the wait" he arrives 20 min later my food is cold he hassled me for exact change than stormed away. I dont know if they are under new management or if nobody cares about customer service anymore. I am highly disappointed.

The last time I ordered to go I was very disappointed with the delivery person when the food. Chicken wasnt cooked all the way and the beef tasted like it was freezer burned, the egg rolls tasted spoiled. The driver was extremely late. I live 2 blocks away. Not to mention they driver wasnt trying to give me back my change so I can tip him he tried taking off with my change of 30 something dollars and walked away fast. I had to call him back for my change and he got mad and stormed away..

After trying a handful of local places, and on a recommendation from the Ford dealer, this is the BEST Chinese food in the area south of Chinatown. Building isnt all that glamorous, but its very clean inside, very fair prices, good portions and quite tasty. A lot of people call for pick up, but they have free delivery up to about 5 miles. Well be going back!

Orded and the food was gross. Could not eat it. The chicken didnt even look like chicken!! Costumer service was bad, and then on top they added a tip onto my bill when i clearly didnt leave one!! Bullshit! Anyone whos has tried this llace might wanna check their account For being wrongly charged!

I love Chinese food and have eaten at over a 100 places. So when I say this is the perfect place to eat with the friendliest attitude to all customers Im right on. Very clean, great taste, quick service and low prices. This is the home of the "value meal with a smile!"
