We went 4/3/2016 I read the reviews prior to going in and it seemed ok. Our waitress took our orders and when my sister asked if her meal came with hash browns, she said no but when our food came it did. I got the same as her and ordered potatoes because i thought it didnt come with hash browns. All of our hash browns were soggy. My daughter found hair on her plate and instead of making new food they just put her food on a new plate. It was hot in there, the service was terrible. Both girls that came to the table werent on the same page, so we were asked the same question several times. And I asked for cheese on my eggs and it was fresh cheese not even melted. My milkshake was wonderful.

What sells this diner is its staff. They love this place. And they love on the people who come here. The décor is quaint, the atmosphere is fun loving (thanks to the staff), and the food is tasty, and massively portioned. I had the all meat omelette and biscuit. It was very tasty. Im a big guy, but even I couldnt finish it all. My coffee never went below completely full, the staff was incredibly friendly. They even ran out to my car after I left to hand me my hat that fell between the seats. I would definitely come back again.

Looks are deceiving. I wasnt expecting much when we arrived, but they were packed, so we gave it a try. The restraunt is on the small size, so I dont recommend it for groups. We were seated as soon as we walked in, which was lucky because they dont have anywhere to seat if theres a wait. Service was prompt and courteous and when the food arrived, it was plentiful, hot & tasted good. We will be coming back.

This place is a hidden Gem in Burien.. I have driven by this place a thousand times at least and never once thought, I want to eat there. WHAT A MISTAKE! Do not let this small rough on the outside exterior fool you, this is some of the best breakfast money can buy. So with all that said; we ordered 2 OJs, 1 Sour dough toast, 1 country fried steak, and 1 Gravy & Biscuits. Will be back

This is a great place! The staff was very accommodating to us when we brought our dog and they even brought him some bacon and water! This is the best service Ive had at a restaurant. The food is excellent and reasonably priced with good portions. The menu has a lot of variety too. It looks like a dive place driving by it, but dont let that fool you! Not your typical diner :)

This is our GO TO breakfast spot. Great staff. Great food. Great portions. Great atmosphere. Id take away a star because it gets real busy & we often have to wait for a table . . . but I dont have the heart. Its THAT GOOD & that is why there *is* a wait!!! If you want a great breakfast . . . or a "diner" style lunch . . . THIS is the place to get it in Burien.

I love this place. All the employees are nice. The food is great. Their milkshake is amazing and you can choose 2 different flavors. Im a milkshake lover and I completely loved. But I guess my favorite part at the cards with questions that they have at every table. I usually spend more time playing those games with my boyfriend than actually eating hahahaha

I eat here as often as I can. The food is delicious and great staff, amazing atmosphere. Love it! Vegetarian omelet all the way. And biscuits to die for with homemade raspberry jam. Hi back again! Getting my fav and a strawberry waffel. Yummy! As always, the best breakfast ever! Great atmosphere here. I love it and recommend countryside café to all!

Good old fashion greasy spoon! This place is the best. Can get crazy on the weekends so dont whine about the wait because its totally worth it. And most everyone who is smart enough to know that, and/or have been there before, are stoked to be there, because they know the food is gold. And their customer service is great. Cheers!

Dont judge this place by the exterior... Or the interior for that matter. Food was delicious, staff was awesome & friendly. I had the southern california omelette, he got steak & eggs. Both plates delicious. Were new to the area & first time customers, but well definitely be back. Get a milkshake too!!

Love these lil cafes. They never disappoint. Ordered the shrimp Bay omelet and corn beef hash and a side pancakes. Too much food. Huge portions. My husband is a big dude with a big appetite and he couldnt finish his food. Best in town. If we ever are back in Seattle, we def will be there

Busy place, a grease spoon. We ordered Bay Shrimp Omelet, the Southern California Omelet, and the Big Boy Breakfast. Their portions are generous, the hollandaise sauce was nicely done, everything good except for the coffee, maybe was a bad batch, they quickly removed it. Well be back.

This local eatery is always busy! Thats probably due to good food, attentive wait staff, and superb raspberry preserves. Is it a surprise to hear that it is NOT a chain restaurant? Countryside cafe is old, a bit homely, but it is the berries! Do you self a favor and try it out.

Great little dinner, serving sizes are big and well priced. The staff are always friendly when Ive gone, only thing to note is that it is a small dinner so it can have a line when you go on busy days, but if you go for morning breakfast you should be fine

Had Sunday breakfast there, good food, good quantity, reasonable price. Got there just before the rush. Glad we did. Good service in spite of the crowd. Go early, avoid the rush. Will eat there next time Im in Burien visiting my relative.

Worth the wait if you come on a weekend morning for breakfast. The biscuits are the star here, but you cant make a bad choice on the menu. Its a small place so good for a big group, but great for groups of 2-4.

Im from the southeast and I went here for breakfast while I was visiting my dad and the dishes reminded me a lot of home. Great food and service. If I am ever in the area again I will definitely stop by.
