OK - a buddy took my wife and I here saying the food was GREAT, and .... it wasnt only great (for Indian Food), it was some of the best/tastiest food I have ever eaten! I had the: Chicken saag (Chicken cooked in creamy spinach sauce). OMG! The chicken was perfectly cooked, was in large boneless pieces, mixed in with a savory creamed spinach, with a taint of spice (choice of spiciness from 1-6 / I chose 3 and it was perfect). I honestly had a physiological sensation come over me when I ate the food. The bread (like 10 inch pizza dough wonderfully baked - IS A MUST! If you have 2-3 people, please order the combo bread. GREAT portions with rice on the side and bread will be more than a large man (like me) should eat. Nice atmosphere with pleasant/kind service. Family owned/operated. A wee-bit pricey, BUT totally totally worth it. I will never eat at another India place again - if its my choice! WoW WoW WoW!

Traveling from Florida through Seattle. There are tons of authentic Indian places in FL so I know a good Indian place when I taste it. India gate was close to my hotel so I walked over there for their lunch buffet And was greeted and seated promptly. The food is good, and theres a decent selection. Not crazy flavors or anything, but it was good and I was hungry. It didnt seem to give my taste buds as much enjoyment as the food in Florida but it was still quite satisfactory. The only thing I was disappointed in was the Naan, it seemed a bit too doughyand didnt have that fresh bread feel. Still, this place its a solid 4 stars. Clean and friendly. Im sure there are better places in Seattle, but this place was still a great enjoyable experience.

We just moved to this area and Ive driven by this place a few times. My wife and I decided to give it a shot after seeing some good reviews on here. The food was excellent. You could taste all of the individual spices in the food, which is usually the best part of Indian food, but most places serve you a soup that has been sitting for hours and loses some of its fresh taste. We had the Malai Kofta and the Chicken Korma. Both had sauces that were similar in appearance but miles apart in taste. The staff was friendly and attentive. Overall, a solid Indian spot. Highly recommended. Cons: Service was a bit slow. Naan is not as soft as Id like, but Im nit-picking.

Hi We showed up about 20minutes before closing time for the weekend lunch buffet. The waiter suggested that we were sort of welcome but we better watch the clock. We were taken aback since we were not welcomed in a customary manner. The food was mediocre. One could smell the stale oil in the dals and sabzis. Since they cook meat as well, some of the ladles and serving utensils were not washed and I could detect the smell of meat in vegetarian dishes. We paid close to $30 for 2 1/2 people without even ordering a drink. I regret eating here. Could have done better at a Subway. Atleast the food is fresh.

If you want North Indian food, this is a great place to visit.Since most of the restaurant in Seattle greater area are run by south Indians with South Indian chefs, what you get is a North Indian food with South Indian spices, which is ridiculous. At India gate food is made by North Indian chefs and that gives it an authentic North Indian taste and flavor. In short If you want to eat North Indian food go in North Indian restaurant and not South Indian restaurant.India gate is a North Indian restaurant with Good ambiance, clean and tidy people,Food tastes gr8.

Decent prices, consistent quality, friendly. We usually stick to the various paneer dishes or malai kofta. Cant speak to the rest of the menu, except I must give special props to the vegetable pakoras that come by the carton full with tamarind (yum!) and mint (who cares?) chutneys (and not in the carton - the carton is too full of pakoras!). Also, a little shout out to the kashmiri naan, a nice change of pace now and then. Win! Dont forget to snag a box of dillybars at the DQ when you show up too early!

This is one of the best Indian restaurants in the Seattle metropolitan area. Its good food, fresh air, clean, pleasant and prompt service, and just a feel good place for a family dinner, or an outing with friends. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous. We ordered 3 dishes for 3 people, came home with half of it. The Kulfi (Indian ice-cream) is home made, and we have not tasted Kulfi this good since we had something truly exceptional in Jaipur in 1998! Go ahead. Enjoy this place.

Keiko is incredible. Every course was spot on. The uni caviar course was perhaps the greatest thing Ive ever tasted and Ive had a lot of good food. They even serve real Japanese A5 waygu as part of the tasting menu. For wine people, Keiko has one of the deepest and best vintage Bordeaux and burgundy lists Ive seen, with reasonable price tags for what you are buying. The sommelier is as knowledgable as they come and will assist you in picking an amazing wine from his list.

This is only for the ones who feel authentic Indian food is all about oil and random spices. I was disappointed that there is nothing authentic about this place at all. The concept of cooking, the necessary blend of spices cooked with vegetables is just not known to them. I am disappointed - wish I could give it a bit better rating - but I cant. They destroy the food!

Always great service whether we dine in or take out to go. Food is amazing, the decor and service are simple and not overdone. Very comfortable. There has never been a time where we did not absoutely rave about the quality to our friends. We dine there about once a month. A treat not to be missed!

This is N Indian food, which I particularly enjoy. They do an amazing job of it. Weve never been disappointed, no matter which meal of the day we are there for. Lunch buffet is amazing, as are dinner options. Highly recommended! Excellent vegetarian as well as meat selections.

I stay for few months a year in Bellevue and India gate has kept me happy away from home. Their food and service is amazing, and you would love the prices too ( lunch buffet is a steal). Try their butter masala, tikka masala and the best Mango Lassi you will ever have.

The taste was good and flavorful. Didnt go for lunch but dinner was a-la-carte which had decent amount of selection. Price is at the higher side but since taste was good I was fine. In this area only Indian restaurant within next 4 miles so woul definitely come back.

This is the only Indian restaurant my husband and I go to. Their food is great (I crave their Naan the most) and theyre friendly and very attentive. We dont consider trying new Indian restaurants, even the one thats just a block away from our building.

The staff is amazingly courteous and food is awesome. Just hope your path doesnt cross with the owner who on his bad days gets offensive and insulting to the customers. I still visit this place for the good food and good staff it has!
