The food is good but customer experience is bad. I forgot my wallet once and was ready to give my credit/ debit card number and all details. The man at the counter(who seemed like the owner of the restaurant ) just denied that no we can’t give you food as if I am broke or a beggar or a fraud. I don’t know what he assumed. I have been a regular customer of Chaat house and I was not expecting this kind of experience there. This situation is not uncommon, the payment machines have option to enter the card details and that’s how you show that you are ready to provide the best customer experience when such thing happens. I went through the same situation at Mayuri, they happily said “of course we will accept the card details” so as any other store/restaurant would do. Disappointed. I loved this place and now I feel like I am gonna find some other place for Indian food. Chat house- please keep up with the advancement in technology. Redmond/ Bellevue is a hub of techies. This kinda behavior is frustrating. You need to operate like a restaurant in the US.Even the villages in India are turning cashless, using online payment options like Paytm.

Love the place for quick carryout lunch and dinner. It is extremely crowded in evenings to find a place to sit and it is very noisy. PROS: - Cheap and good taste. - Pure veg, for people who do not like meat at all - Regular food, you can eat it daily. - Has good chat (Indian snacks) options. - Value for money - Parking is easy to find, CONS: - Seating area is small. - Place is generally very crowded and noisy. TIP: Order ahead on phone and carryout the food. Cash payment will get you a 5% discount.

I really fail to understand why people like it so much here. We ordered Chinese and that turned out to be horrible mistake. We thought to give it a second try by ordering paratha. Our ordered was messed up, we asked for Gobi paratha and we got alooo paratha, the aloo paratha is just dough and boiled potato. 2 stars only for the paneer paratha and sweets. Be prepared to wait for at least 30 mins to get anything to eat here .

Chat house a great Indian place that serves vegetarian. They have high quality food and it is so fresh, things just melt in your mouth. Paav bhajji is a dish I often order and enjoy. The thali plates are also juicy and sumptuous, and are sometimes even good for 2 people when you arent very hungry. Quick service. Clean place. Good food. They have opened a similar non-veg place right behind this current branch named Fish-N-Chik

Went here thrice, every time the experience has been same - painfully long waiting period and mediocre food. The only thing I sort of liked was Dahi Puri. (I tried Samosa chaat, Pani puri, Wada pav among others). Even the tea was below average. I am told that the lunch is good, which I am yet to try. Will try that next time and update this review. But till then, this restaurant remains a disappointment.

The stuffed paratha was good. Buy your curry elsewhere or make it at home! The kitchen staff was certainly not Indian! Here are some item descriptions - Raita: plain watery yoghurt with lots of salt and chat masala. Falooda: extra sweet rose milk. Not a hint of thin noodle or dry fruits. Salad: left over pasta, mixed with mango pickle and vinegared onions. Kadhi pakora was extra salty again.

Dinner here was a wonderful culinary journey. The chef does an excellent job in creating a unique menu combining many tastes and contrasting flavors. The food is Asian influenced yet also includes a nod to Adria and molecular gastronomy. We also did a wine pairing which I also recommend as it very much enhances the whole experience (the sommelier is very knowledgeable as well). Truly excellent.

I am really surprised by the average 4 stars for this place. The food was not fresh, made with poor quality ingredients (over used oiled) and short cuts (baking soda instead of proper techniques boiling/ fermenting) - all in all bad tasting, not recommended. Would rather recommend microwaving frozen haldiram/ deep packets at home. Staff was courteous though - dont think they eat here ;).

Best Indian chat food and many other items which are all vegetarian. This outlet gets chocked with people at most during lunch and dinner times all days and especially during weekends. So.. try it yourself. Staff are very nice and mostly clean as it takes a little extra time to service and cleaning tables due to heavy crowd due to the reason which is very much understood. Go for it!!

One of the best places in Seattle / Eastside for road-side vegetarian Indian food. Usually the food is on the spicier side, so be sure to mention Mild spice. Our favorites are the Mooli paratha, Katcha Katchori chaat. Samosa is mediocre and dont bother getting their papdi chaat (pretty bad). Service is below average, but we dont go there for it.. so that doesnt bother us.

This place is the only good place in Bellevue-redmond for Indian street food. I also order chapatis from here. Annapurna Thali is best for people who eat outside daily. Veg manchurian is a must try. Recently they removed veg manchurian from their menu and added schewan fried rice. Dont order it. I like hakka noodles, pav bhaji, paranthas, sandwich here.

Great place to have some Indian street food. I would suggest that you have to increase the amount of space for the customers to sit. I also would definitely tell you to decrease the amount of salt which is put in the dishes. If the seating place increases and the salt decreases, then this would be the best indian eating place in the US. Thanks.

Pretty good food. Namesake for chaat/appetizer items, although they feature wide selection for a decent lunch or dinner. Seems very popular, as is always crowded and hard to get a table; you order at the counter first and then collect the order back to your table when called out. Ambience is reasonably good.

If you crave for Indian Street food then its a good place to satisfy yourself. The chaats are good, but was not very impressed with pav bhaji and the parathas. The place is pretty economical but gets extremely overcrowded even on weekdays. The seating arrangement can be worked upon. Cleanliness is good.

Superb Indian food. Love the paranthas they serve. Thali is also decent most of the times. They serve so many things that you dont get at other Indian restaurants. The taste is very consistent. Ambience is not of a regular restaurant. Servers are also good, and dont take to long to serve your order.

Had an order of the Gobi Manchurian (~$8): spicy cauliflower. Also had an order of the Fried Rice (~$8): spicy rice mixed with vegetables. Food was delicious, staff was bewildered (but nevertheless polite when confirming food preparation w.r.t. dietary restrictions), and the ambiance was shiny.

Good indian street food place, there food taste great but the place is pretty much packed with people all the time. I have been here several times but we have to wait for a table and we order the food first and there is no table to sit and eat. i would recommend to avoid there busy timings.

We bought Gudiya, Suji Halwa and Makke ki roti with Sarso saag from here. Gujia was smelling like curry, we couldnt eat it and end up throwing. We didnt like Makke ki roti/sarso saag too, it was tasteless. Suji Halwa seems to be made with Jaggery, not sure though but taste was not usual.
