I dont like giving one-star reviews but I feel like this particular establishment deserves it. First of all, I went in after a rain storm and the place smelled AWFUL - the strongest smell of mold and mildew you can imagine. In addition, it looks like the place has not been redone OR cleaned since the early 1980s. There were no people in there when I went at 6:00pm at ALL. For whatever reason, I was hoping for a "hidden treasure" type of thing to happen, as the Google reviews were not all that bad. I ordered, and I asked for a simple substitution with my meal and was told "they dont do ANY substitutions." The employees seemed basically uninterested in my presence there anyway. I ordered orange chicken (small) and a vegetable eggroll (they dont make the standard pork ones). I got it home and it was inedible. The orange chicken sauce tasted like ketchup (no orange flavor at all) and the chicken pieces were some kind of folded up, gray, gristle-and-fat gobs. The egg roll was about half the size of a normal egg roll and for some reason it was so salty I couldnt eat it either. So, for that reason, I feel it is my duty to warn the people of Winchester - stay away. Sorry, China Gourmet. If you had been nice and your food would have been edible, I could POSSIBLY overlook the terrible smell and dirty dining room.

I tend to order out quite often, and China Gourmet is really good. China Gourmet gets a good rating from me. Ordering on the phone for delivery is a task sometimes, major language barrier, but in perspective, if I were in China and working the phones at an American Cuisine Restaurant, Im sure I would have trouble as well. Another positive is that they will deliver late and they have even delivered to me 2 minutes before closing. Hope this helps.

the food was really poor like I couldnt even eat my sesame chicken and they gave me white rice and not Fried rice so Im warning you guys kinda not order from there because there are not the best place to order from.

This is the oldest Chinese restaurant in Winchester. Also, the restaurant looks like it is old, but the food is always delicious. The hot soy sauce soup, Kung Pao Chicken, and General Tsos Chicken are all great.

It is the worst chinese food I have had in the last 10 years! The restaurant has a weird smell. The only taste of Sweet and Sour Shrimp is sugar thus I rarely ate any of it.
