Bad experience. I came with my family & waited 20 minutes to even have our order taken. Then waited another 20 for salads. Our server wasnt very present which was okay at first because she seemed busy. Then we waited for our food for 30 minutes. Before our food came the manager let us know they didnt have sweet potatoes so we needed to change our side because they were out. No problem, we changed. Mind you, there was no wait & it was half empty when we arrived. Our food came out & was all messed up. The steaks were over cooked too. We didnt complain, we ate it with no issue. After telling us we needed to change our side because they were out, were looking around & everyone thats getting their food has what they were supposed to be out of. I dont know how that works but ok. So at this point weve been there 2 hours already. The waitress, again, isnt present. Finally we ordered dessert to go. That took about 30 minutes to come out too! Dessert! So we asked the manager to check on our dessert since wed waited so long & she brings one out & tells us it was probably her fault she brought it to another table. Ok great. So thats what management does? Thats how they handle situations? They didnt do anything for us the whole time. Im not asking for anything free but at least offer to do something. Anyways, we wont be going back.

Excellent steaks. On par with much more high end establishments. Only advice is. Dont go sit at the bar and play on your phone and expect the staff to be able to read your mind. I have been patronizing this establishment your years. And 99% or the complaints I have see come from people getting to go orders. BTW the staff that prepares your to go orders only is paid wait staff wage. So keep in mind they are getting paid 2.25 at most per hour time expertly prepare your food. So if your happy with the food dont forget to tip. If not. Go to McDonalds.

I just had dinner at this place and am angry to say the least.The service was horrible at best as it took over 20 minutes to get sodas and water and then another 40 plus to get our food.People arriving after us were already being served.The best part of the evening was receiving a drink from the bar with a huge fly floating right on top.Of course we received a simple apology from the waitress and were comped for the bug but no apology or anything from the manager.They dont deserve the one star rating.

We were at the Newport News location for our 35th anniversary on 8/5/17. EVERYTHING was perfect! Ordered the Flos filet with lobster tail and it was one of the most delicious meals that I have ever had! From the Black and Blue cocktail, to the entree finishing up with the banana cream pie for dessert, could not have asked for anything to have been any better! Servers were so nice, attentive and accommodating. Absolutely loved it and will remember it for a long time to come!

I love this longhorn! My husband and I have been coming here regularly for the past few months to order our typical food (we order the same dish every time we come here lol). The steak is flavorful and always cooked to perfection. I have never had a bad experience with the staff, and have always felt a warm welcome as soon as I come in through the front door. Would definitely recommend this longhorn location to everyone!

I have worked in the restaurant business, so I totally understand....but our service was horrible. They messed up my salad and took so long to replace it that I got my hot food first. The waitress only checked on us 3 times throughout the two hours we were there. Then after telling a manager the problem, we had to wait even more time to just get our check because no one checked on us after we got our food.

The steak was awesome and the night was going great until the waitress spilled an entire glass of soda across the table and into my lap, down my leg and into my shoes. We got cleaned up, ate the meal and was never approached by staff or waitress again until the check came...and they over charged us! We will never eat there again. The music was nice, the food was good, but the staff need work.

Visited the day after Christmas for lunch to use a newly acquired gift card. Food was ok, not anything that would draw me back. Staff was horrible. Greeter was sullen, server was unattentive and other staff never acknowledged our presence. Restaurant was not crowded, one or two dining parties per serving zone, yet it still took over an hour for lunch.

Longhorn took a few visits before I started to really like it... they have good sweet tea generous with the lemons.. the 7 pepper sirloin salad is my favorite...very tender flavorful steak....the salad is the good spring mix ..good ranch ...desserts are not good unfortunately....very good servers! Good atmosphere!!

First time here. Very impressed. Both of us had steaks, bit on the pricey side, but hands down the best steaks on the peninsula. I would return I would bring my friends and my family. From what Ive seen lunch should be cheaper. Quiet atmosphere low music. At least give it a try.

Fan-freakin-tastic! Busy Friday night, but was seated immediately. Steaks cooked to perfection; bread hot and soft; mushroom appetizer was fantastic! Our server Joel helped make our 28th wedding anniversary that much nicer. Will definitely go back, and will recommend to others.

Horrible.. our salads took 20 mins. There were 4 tables in the restaurant. Heather the manager said they took soon long because we had modifications (extra cheese & bacon) Food came out 2 mins after salads..steaks and burger soo salty they were inedible. Done with Longhorn NN!

We came here on a whim late in the evening on our way back from a vacation outing and it turned out to be the best meal we ate all week. Everyones food was perfect, on time and served with a smile. Thank you for the great experience!

Horrible service! Waited a very long time for just soup and sandwich. My food was mistakenly taken to another table, then waited some more. When I finally recieved my food, the order was incorrect! Not impressed at all.

Food was decent. Also I had to hunt down the waiter at one point to ask for more coffee and water as they left our group unattended for a long time.
