I was looking for a place that had a casual "vibe" similar to steakhouse but slightly less "chain restaurant" and "different".. The environment in Firebrew was perfect from the moment I walked in. clean, modern and well lit. The spacing was also good to where a full house would still allow for modest elbow room. Staff: Im not sure if the waiter was new and it wasnt a big deal but when asked "hows the salmon roulade" replying with "its good. some dont like it but I like it" does not sound good. in fact every question we had about the food was answered with a simple "its good".. I would say describing the steps to make or prepare the food and how that helps/makes the flavor would be a step in the right direction. the staff looks very friendly, honest and overall good people. Food: it was me that questioned about the s. roulade and though i was told by the waiter that it was just " Good" I decided to order it. The plate came out looking good and the taste was.. Excellent! it had the perfect amount of citrus zest served with just the right amount of cheese. the delicious flavors of the mushrooms, spinach and seasoning were also there in full force. Compliments to the chef! However, in my party someone ordered the flat iron 8oz and a good portion (being 8oz that portion makes a difference) came out burnt and to some that could ruin the complete experience. BUT judging from the other plates, it was a honest mistake because everything else came out right. overall I will definitely be coming back.

My husband and I used to drive by this place all the time when we lived near Red Mill but never tried it until this past weekend. Holy moly, were we missing out! The interior design of this bar is actually really nice, so you immediately get a cozy, comfortable feeling as soon as you walk in. It was pretty cool to see a self-serve wine bar in the middle of the place, and I definitely would have tried it if I wasnt pregnant, haha. Our server (I believe her name was Izzy) was very attentive, helpful, and polite. After taking our time (and using Izzys recommendations) we ended up ordering the dip trio appetizer, a cup of she crab soup for me, a flight of beers for my husband, the sriracha salmon, and the pan-seared mahi mahi. Everything was outstanding! My husband LOVED all of his beers -- IIRC, they were the Founders Porter, Blond Hunny, Pineapple Grenade, and the Winter White -- and my soup was really creamy and satisfying. All three of the dips were delicious, but especially the buffalo and crab dips! And our entrees were super fresh and tasty as well. I couldnt finish all of mine, but my husband happily cleaned his entire plate. It was the best meal out wed had in probably years, so Im really excited to go back and try this place again in the future. The final total was a little expensive, but honestly it was worth the splurge. I highly recommend going here to try it out if youre in Virginia Beach!

The Firebrew Restaurant is our favorite in Virginia Beach. We have never had a bad dining experience there and the service and food is perfect. Each time we visit the resaurant is full with people and more continueing to come and wait for tables. The bar area has a compliment of draft and bottled beer, which is an important part of my dining experience. Our last visit was this past Saturday and the resaurant was full upon our arrival. We waited 20 minutes for a table but had plenty of time to converse with several other patrons in a similar situation while relaxing with a cold beverage. The Firebrew staff was attentive to us waiting and visited with us on numerous occasions until our table was ready. My wife and I enjoyed a crab dip appetizer before our entree was served. I had a burger and my wife had the salmon. My wife indicated the salmon was cooked to perfection and was very tasty. Im not one for salmon so I had to take her word for it. My burger was cooked to my request and tasty as well. The wait staff is the best part of this restaurant as they are very attentive to you as a customer. The majority of them have been with this restaurant for quite some time which indicates they enjoy this restaurant as well. I highly recommend the Firebrew. I am sure you will not be disappointed.

This place has always been a favorite of mine.. The food is amazing every single time we go. But the service has gone down hill. We sat without drinks, waited to even be helped. I am not sure what has happened but its very disappointing. I gave it 3 because of the food. But if I cant have an overall good experience the food isnt going to be good enough. We froze in there today and come to find out the patio door was open while it was do and rainy outside. Please fix your service back to what it was.

This place was truly amazing. It had a wonderful atmosphere that made my experience very enjoyable. The lemonade I had was delicious and fresh. My entire family fell in love with this place. Dont even get me started on the service. Tyler and Jeremiah were unbelievably polite and attentive. The food was some of the best Ive had. To make it even better nothing is deep fried or microwaved! The menu is unique and has something for everyone. I cannot wait for my next vist!

This is a great local spot. We have been here many time and I have never had a bad meal. The wait staff is attentive, efficient and helpful. Their self service automated wine bar is great, especially for someone like me who just wants to try a few different wines without drinking whole glasses (they have a 1.5 oz taste size). They have a wide selections of beers as well. I gave it 4 stars, but I would have given 4.5 if that was allowed.

This our first time to the Fire brew bar and grill .We came here for Valentines day special. The food was good. Our waiter daniel was nice. I had the flat iron steak and the wife had the salmon roulade which she enjoyed. My steak was good but I thought the dish could have used alittle more potatoes. But over all a good experience. We would most likely stop again. Maybe during restaurant week.

The waiter was very nice, the place is ok inside, kind of a cafeteria feeling. I ordered a white vegetable pizza and the pizza had such a small amount of veges centered all in one spot. The flavor of the pizza was 3 out of 10, 10 being amazing. im actually surprised this place has 4.9 stars. Anthonys coal fired stone pizza and California pizza kitchen is so much better and a lot more fresh..

We found FireBrew right after it opened 2 years ago and it quickly became our favorite eating establishment. Their food is well prepared and delicious and they wait staff are friendly and personable. We send or take all of our friends to FireBrew. Their beer and wine selections are always varied and a lot of their beer is local. If you havent gone give it a try you will not regret it.

This restaurant was excellent. Wenter down to Virginia Beach for the first time.Saw this place on Google. My wife and I enjoyed this place so much the first time, we went back for lunch a few days later! I enjoyed the Buffalo flatbread pizza as well as the barbecue chicken pizza. We will definitely be back to Virginia Beach and most definitely will visit Firebrew.
