Was there on 18 Nov 2014 around 5 in the evening. Girl behind cash register was incredibly rude and she was eating with her left hand while ringing up customers and using the same hand to then dip cups into ice machine. I told her that she should not be eating in the front of the house and using her dirty hands in the ice -- she just stared at me without saying or doing anything. The other 5 individuals working (all men) said nothing either. The girl continued to eat her wontons while servicing other customers--- clearly a health code violation. Someone needs to look into the management and the Virginia health department should be advised--this is disgusting --- DO NOT EAT HERE

The customer service is really bad... plus the white guy works with his pants falling and a dirty t-shirt, I went early to make sure we had a table big enough for 10 people. They saw me set up the table and and did not help me out. After I finish setting up with with a high chair.. One guy comes and says I cannot relaxed there, I told him I was waiting for the rest of the group, he did not want to understand. No wonder it was empty the way they treat people is very offensive. Of course I ended up leaving and taking my business elsewhere.

Generally speaking, I prefer this establishments teriyaki sauce over the rest. The staff is overall courteous. The environment is well lit, food preparation can be viewed and theres tvs for your viewing pleasure. The dining and restrooms are clean and comfortable. 4 stars because the service can be rushed at times with no formalities(hello how are you, kind of deal)

My sushi had expired avacado so i called the store to make them aware so that no one else would have this happen to them. THE MANAGER told me to call the police! so before i post the pictures everywhere wanted to give them another chance to make this right @sarku japan

Chicken teriyaki, w/fried rice and steamed veggies tasted great. Very friendly man at the register. At the time of my visit the place was clean and tidy, all tables wiped, and any unoccupied chairs pushed in. Bathroom was clean as well. Will be back!

I love sarku Japan but for some reason this place is little different. There chicken teriyaki tastes super weird and fake as compare to the other location. Try one on Richmond hwy much better. May be in wrong try t for your self.

Bad service, bad tasting food(taste not fresh), took my order wrong and gave us rice instead of noodles. Nothing like the older mall. Horrible experience, would rather panda.

You cant beat the quality for the price. The chicken and shrimp combo with steamed white rice and cooked veggies topped with Terayki sauce was plenty and tasty.
