Let me start by saying I have never dined in at Osaka Japanese Restaurant so I cant comment about the service, but they seem to be extremely friendly and definitely make the effort to remember names and faces. Also, this review is strictly based on their sushi. The sushi here is average but the prices are reasonable. I would have to say most of the special rolls tend to taste the same since its usually a lot of different fish jumbled together. The nigiri is decent though not great. It is definitely a good place to grab takeout sushi when youre in the mood though. I know there are some people who think Osaka serves the freshest sushi around, but they are sadly mistaken. Overall, great for last minute takeout sushi if youre in the area. But after awhile the sushi will all tend to taste the same. I havent tried any of the other menu items so I cant comment.

Might be a good place to get Suchi in this area, but a little ways down the road u can get better, with a better price. The other dishes here are too expensive for the serving size and other Japanese Authentic resturants in the area are better in quantity and quality, not to mention the price is way better. The Yakitori chicken, had alot of fat, so that tells me they order low grade chicken but priced like its organic or grade A and U have to know what your paying for and spending many years living in Japan, ur not getting moneys worth here

Stopped here in transit to Washington DC based on other reviews and its proximity to the interstate. Really happy I did as this place is rock solid Japanese food. I had a sushi sashimi combo and the fish was delicious and fresh. My wife had tempura that was cooked perfectly. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the restaurant was extremely clean and had traditional decor. Ill be making this a regular stop when I have to travel north.

We always get sushi to-go but used to dine in a lot. There is never a crowd in the restaurant and I dont know why! Its the best sushi Ive had in springfield and never dissapoints. We always order the spicy crunchy tuna roll, jerrys roll, and osaka roll B. There is one girl who is hard to understand but for the most part the girls are very helpful and nice. Everyone says hello when you walk in the door.

I have given Osaka multiple chances, but the service here is terrible. On three different occasions where Ive sat down here, my sushi order was forgot, while regular dinner entrees were brought out in an ok amount of time. The sushi here is adequate, but not worth the terrible service. I will NEVER sit in to eat dinner here again. If Osaka is your only option, take it to go.

They have great salmon rolls, maybe the best in the D.C.area. They no longer have happy hour on Sunday and Monday evening, which was disappointing, but apparently they still have it for lunch, which I guess Ill need to see if that is the case. The fried rice we had was a bit flavorless as well. All in all, still the place Ill go to for sushi, but perhaps less often

I go here for sushi almost once a week with coworkers. They have a "happy hour menu" during the day that offers nigiri and rolls on the cheap. I eat a lot of sushi - A LOT - and maybe the quality isnt up to par with places like Sushi Taro but its good sushi for a good price and good service. They also give you soup and salad which is a nice extra.

The sushi portions are large and fresh, and the staff is very accommodating. Prices very reasonable compared to pricier and more upscale competitors... The decor and booths are a little bit tired, but the restaurant and bathrooms are always clean and its my go to sushi place in Springfield. You wont be sorry!

All of our sushi was fantastic and arrived to our table in a timely manner. The spicy crunch rolls (I had the tuna and salmon) were delicious and spicier than most sushi restaurants which I really appreciated. Efficient and friendly service from the entire staff from the moment you walk in the door.

Food is great. I have been coming for years. I would have given 5 * if it wasnt for your hostess.You need to retrain your hostess. She is very rude. I thought the first time it happened she was just having a bad day. I have come back 4 times since and she still has the same rude attitude

Truly the best sushi in the area!!! The service is fast and friendly and the seating is comfortable and relaxed. Its a successful business but not busy enough that youd have to wait. Weve never had a bad experience and have been coming here for years. We are loyal customers!!

very underwhelming meal. what we ordered wasnt brought out all at once. what we ordered didnt initially come with all that it should or had been before. furthermore the entree ordered (sukiyaki) was way too sweet and not very hot.

Osaka is not the best sushi out there, but its very affordable. The staff is very friendly and the sashimi cuts they give are thick. Sometimes, however, they run out of tofu and my kids go without their favorite Agedashi Tofu.

Dont trust Amanda. The Jerry Roll is terrible, each piece had a TON of cilantro, and cilantro is gross and evil. Jokes aside (except I do hate cilantro) the place is great and the food was amazing. 10/10, would Pink Lady again.

Been a few times for the lunch happy hour menus, sushi spreads from the happy hour menu are quite cheap for the area and its pretty quiet at lunch so everyones basically waiting on you and you alone. Very nice.

The sushi is very very delicious and very reasonable with hot sake in this restaurant. Bento box lunch and dinners are so goood, everyone can affordable to eat here lunch and dinner. I love this place.

Very average. Small cuts for the price. So based on the small cuts, Id say this place is expensive for so little. Only go during their happy hour sushi menu which makes it a little more reasonable.
