Whatever GOOD reviews you might read; BELIEVE this BAD one , ok ? My belief is that any GOOD reviews are “plants” by the new owner and his shills; after you read this, there could be no other option ~~ Think This: You were WARNED !! 1] I called for a take-out order only to discover Ms. Fannie and Sichuan Café no longer existed ! What I was told on the phone was the place was “under new management” <== a LIE !! It was NOT Sichuan Cafe with a new manager ~~ I HATE when people lie to me and I catch them in the lie !! It was some place called Rolling Cooking !?! A NEW OWNER bought the place, much to my chagrin. 2] SO, when I tried to order my usual, Combination Chow Fung with extra meat, I was rudely informed by an obvious 20-something that this item was not offered; so 3] I tried to order my other usual: Combination Fried rice with extra meat ~~ to which I got a 3rd degree from the phone-answering twit… extra chicken, extra this , extra that ? ~~ What combination means is that ALL the various protein-based meats are to be included; so, after we clarified this miscommunication ~~ which was like pulling teeth without Novocaine ~~ I finally said $2 extra meat; ALL of them, thank you. 4] When I got to the restaurant, I wanted to know what happened to the Ms. Fannie, why I could not get Chow Fung, and asked to speak to the owner ~~ after about 3-5 minutes this guy shows up, as if from behind a curtain, and I asked my questions ~~ and guess what? ~~ he basically stood mute !!? Yes !! that’s right he REFUSED to answer ANY questions. So my only resort left was to ask him, respectfully actually, if he spoke English? ~~ to which he nodded, but did not vocalize, thus I determined he simply did not want to speak to a customer of this location for about 20-25 years. 5] Now the order-taker chimed in, after I said the place must be losing business right and left since they apparently did not keep the well-established menu ~~ and the kid then LIED AGAIN and said the Chow Fung was off the menu, but they could make it for me on a special request basis, which is what he said he said to me on the telephone to cover his you know what in front of the owner ~~ which was a big fat LIE !! 6] How did the kid KNOW that Chow Fung was not on the menu any longer? ~~ Why right in front of me he Googled his own menu and determined it was no longer listed ~~ sheeeeeeesh !! 7] So even had I still wanted the Chow Fung, my wife and I were hungry, and ready to eat at home, which was the whole reason we called for takeout in the first place. We were not inclined to wait even more while the off-the-menu item was supposedly going to be prepared. 8] Based on the interactions, or non-interactions, I assured The Silent Owner that I predicted the place would go belly up within a year, and that he would no longer have to deal with me. 9] Part of my attitude stemmed from a loss ~~ the loss of Ms. Fannie and Sichuan Café, which had been part of my support system with respect to Chinese takeout that I had been getting, and had been happy with, for a generation. 10] Moreover, I could not understand why a Chinese take out place would call itself: Rolling Cooking, this new moniker just did not make ANY sense to me at all. 11] But the worst castigation I can think of is that when we got the COMBO FLIED LICE home, it was dry, tasted like tiny bits of cardboard, and had very little meat at all, let alone the extra meat I had ordered and paid extra for. Even worse some of the pork and chicken were BAD pieces with gristle and fat still hanging off of them. 12] I urge any reader to avoid this place like it had food poisoning or botulism and please make my prediction, referenced above, a reality. Think this again ~~ you were warned !!

We love the food! The new owner provides very authentic Szechuan and Shanghai cuisine. You can order anything off the menu and they can always accommodate any requests. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Not only providing spicy authentic Szechuan dishes such as Spicy Capsicum Diced Chicken, Double cooked pork Sichuan Style, Boiled Fish, Scallion Fried Fish, Flaming Beef..... they are amazing. We also love their crispy Duch, Rolling Chicken, Skillet Beef steak, crispy String Beans, Kung Pao Chicken. Ask for their Oven Roasted BBQ pork ribs, it was heavenly and is not on the menu. It is very kids friendly, our kids (5 and 9) love their Juice Steam Bun, Scallion Pancake, Fried noodles, Fried rice, Singapore Noodles...... They even love the crispy string beans despite a little spicy, they ask for it every time. You also get complimentary ice cream. The interior atmosphere is simple, comfortable and clean. It offers extensive menu and makes it hard to choose. We always end up ordering too much. We will definitely go their very often!

Their fried rice was authentic looking and tasting. I would ask for extra chicken or meat of your choice. It was a little low on meat, high on rice. Frankly, there is no other good place (Chinese-sichuan) in West Springfield. There are a number of Chinese places to eat, but are all "Americanized" with No MSG, or low salt, or some other god awful theme. There is a little old Chinese man cooking in the back, and THAT is what I look for. Good food for sure. 2nd time order) Great! Their spring rolls are hand rolled - no slimy cabbage and carrots...General Tsos was cooked properly and not overcooked and definitely contained chicken- not mystery meat. Great combination Lo Mein with 15 shrimp and lots of meat. Best meal I have had forever in Szechuan. The Spring rolls were free and the total with tax was $21.35. It fed Myself and 2 teenagers until we were stuffed..and had leftover Chicken. Yes we were hungry again 3 hours later. What is up with that????

Im afraid I have to add to other reviews that say the previous owner and cook had much tastier food than the current one. Not to say that the food is bad but its not spectacular either. We live right near them and have ordered for years but when they changed the recipe for General Tsos chicken we noticed a clear difference in quality. There was barely any sauce. Even the fried rice wasnt impressive. After one more attempt we no longer order from there, going to other restaurants. Once again, its not terrible but compared to other Chinese places in the area, and the previous cook, it definitely is nothing special.

Dont go here. It used to be amazing food, and apparently has recently been taken over by a new owner. We didnt realize this until tonight, when we ordered our usual order, only to find that when it was delivered, the quality was much poorer than before and one of the items we ordered doesnt even exist anymore, so they gave us something we didnt order instead. Even the general tsos chicken was different, not to mention soggy. Such a shame. It went from being the best local Chinese delivery to something we will absolutely never order again. The people were nice at least, for what thats worth.

Our friends recommended we come here, and my family thought it was really good. The people were really, really, really nice and gave us free cake, and it didnt take too long to get our food. (We came late on a Wednesday night, though, so we were the only people in there.) The best things we got were the sesame chicken, the steamed dumplings (I think thats what they were called), and the chili chicken which was spicy but REALLY good. We will be coming here again :)
