DONT go here. The service is horrible. Friends of ours came for breakfast. We were over at the bakery- great food and service. They were not done so we decided to sit with them while they waited for their breakfast. They had already been there for 45 min. with no food. After sitting with them for 1/2 hour more (total of 1 hr 15 ,min) they finally complained. The woman said she would check on it. Then she said it was coming. 1/2 later still no food. So after 1 hr and 45 minutes they gave up and left without breakfast ( of course when they told her they were leaving she claimed the food was coming out any minute!!) We went to the farmers market and people there were telling her that was typical. I had heard this from 2 other people as well. They came the next week and went to the bakery instead and were happily surprised after this experience.

We came to Smithfield for a weekend getaway. Someone recommend this place for breakfast because it was excellent. And the reviews agreed. We got there and learned recently, as in a few weeks ago, they switched from a made to order menu to a breakfast buffet. I dont typically like buffets but because this place came so highly recommend, we stayed. Wish we hadnt. The food was luke warm at best, some just cold. I think the food would be really good for a buffet if it had been hot. The 2 stars were for the service as our server was very nice and attentive. If management reads this, consider going back to made to order for breakfast.

This restaurant has very good food, including very good burger options. The restaurant also has a gift shop/general store inside, with Virginia Peanuts and Smithfield Food products. The only downside is many of the products can be bought for much cheaper in other places, and the food can get expensive at times. Also, on a lot of Friday nights, they have $5 burger meal specials which includes a side. Overall, it is great! If youre visiting Smithfield, or if you live here, I highly recommend it.

TOS Flatbread and Mac n Cheese was great! Tasty pulled Port on Flatbread. The Mac was topped with crumbled bacon..Mmm! The Cuban sandwich was stuffed with meat! Too much to eat all at once. The sweet potato fries were crisp and tasty too. The place is clean. The wait staff is attentive. We purchased the dark chocolate covered espresso beans and some milk chocolate covered peanut brittle....so good!! Worth the trp to historic downtown Smithfield!

We had veered away from this place because a local person that was hanging out in front of coffee shop told us that it wasnt good and its expensive. We went here tonight, we havent lived here forever but what weve learned is not to listen to the locals (if they say its bad, its good) if they say its good, expect to be sick :)! Amazing pulled pork sweet potato fries and spinach goat cheese flat bread w/ tomato soup. A match to NE culinary!!!!

Went there for lunch with the hubby. He ordered the brat with peppers and French fries. The brat came with no roll, just a brat on a plate. Good but not worth $9.00. I got bit and a side of Mac and cheese. The blt was very good. The mac and cheese was boxed, not homemade. They crumbled a little bacon on top. Very disappointed that it wasnt homemade and no worth the price. If you stick with a sandwich and fries, you will do fine.

This restaurant is located in downtown historic Smithfield. You can come in and enjoy a meal while checking out the local sites. The food is good and I would have given a higher rating but the last three times we have been, they are out of menu items, ribs, meatloaf, bbq...etc whether its an early or late dinner. The wait staff are great and friendly. Also if its a gorgeous day, you can eat outside! Thats always a plus

We have been there quite a few times. We took my Brother and Sister-in-Law to lunch today. As usual the meal was GREAT from the ice tea to the sweet potato biscuit with Smithfield ham on it. Bess was our server and she was GREAT TOO. Food on time, glasses never got empty. What else could you ask for. Try it youll LOVE it. We drove all the way from Churchland to eat there.

Found this gem by accident while just cruising around on Valentines! Sure glad we did! AMAZING! Everything was well above expectations! Service, food and atmosphere where wonderful! This will be a regular stop now....ohh yeah if your eat there you get 10% off of the store! ....You will will want that because with so many cute things your sure to load up!

Great little shop and restaurant. The sandwiches are delicious and they use a lot of local ingredients. I personally recommend the Main St burger with country ham. The store inside has all kinds of Virginia goodies, but focuses on Virginia peanuts and Smithfield products. Great place to pick up a souvenir if youre a tourist, or just pop in for a meal.

I had a wonderful evening at Taste of Smithfield. My mom and I had a wonderful server who was pleasant and informative about the menu. He answered our many questions about items. The food was exceptional! I had the chicken salad sandwich and baked apples. The corn chowder was also fantastic. Im looking forward to visiting again!

Good and bad here. Wharf Hill Club with honey ham and the broccoli slaw are Excellent! Chicken Salad, meh! Flour ham biscuit, meh.. Biscuit was the let down. Baked beans were good and the waitress was fast and efficient. Overall I will be back and definitely getting that club sandwich.

I love this place.The burgers are juicy and the buns soft.They are made to order.We also love the Cuben sandwhich and The Church Street Pita.What is really great for a side are the soups.The sausage or red pepper and goat cheese soups are amazing. The service has always been great for us.

The food is good, but the experience will be defined by the service. If you have Tim as your server, ask for someone else or leave. He is arrogant, fakes a southern accent, and will disappear for many minutes at a time. If he quits, or is dismissed, I will revise my rating.

Best part of our experience here today was that we were treated so poorly (after finding out our server really wanted to leave to get her nails done) we found the amazing bakery across the street where the service was amazing and the food was delicious!

Okay, but seriously, the ham here is really good. You dont think ham can be this good, BUT IT IS. The biscuits are fluffy and the service is friendly. Definitely stop in for breakfast if youre in the area!

Lovely restaurant. They sell a variety of goods, and of course, ham! It is very pretty inside and things you would not think are in there to be sold. Stop in and see and get a ham sandwich!

I miss the old Cuban sandwich, but the rest of the food is fantastic. The TOS Burger is massive! The fries, mac and cheese, sweet potato rolls and the rest of the food is on point!
