I work for a company that has been in Richmond for over 80 years and is home to over 300 + employees right here in the Richmond area. Needless to say not many places in the are deliver breakfast. But one day my co-workers and myself came across this business NY Bagels and Deli off Main St. We called placed a fairly large order. (for 12 people) Excited about the menu choices we figured that this will be a great addition to our office menu. Well we were wrong. we ordered our food at 930 am. I called at 11 am to find that the driver had just left with our order. 1130 am the driver still has not arrived. Mind you the building that we work in does not have a front desk clerk so i advised the girl that took my order the driver needed to CALL when he arrived. 1140 am I walk downstairs because we are upset and hungry only to find the owner of the business standing in the lobby saying he has been there for an hour. Why didnt you call i asked him.. he left his phone in the car was his response. The food was cold, the order was wrong we tried to call back to get the order corrected they would not correct the order. We even agreed to pay for half the order due to the fact that we, by this time, were starving. We have tried on several attempts to order from this business again with no luck the most recent excuse we cant get a driver to you for 4 hours... Really 4 hours... If you dont want to serve us fine we can take our money elsewhere. I will NEVER order from this company ever again! WORST experience of my life.

Im giving five stars because I am from NJ and I love an egg sandwich on a Kaiser roll. They make them great here. I will say that there have been times where they forgot to add the bacon but these things happen. My one complaint about this place is that almost every time I go they are out of decaf coffee and I have to wait awkwardly while they brew another whole pot just for me. Whats strange is that they brew Columbian decaf coffee but dont label it as decaf, so its probably out every morning because regular coffee drinkers pour it not knowing its decaf. Who doesnt label decaf coffee? Today the two employees told me that the Kona was decaf. When I questioned it they said okay and offered to make the Columbian. I assume they were trying to avoid having to make a whole pot of coffee for one customer. There are people who cannot drink regular coffee for health reasons so they might want to be more careful about that kind of thing. I ended up leaving with no coffee (even though I paid for it). No big deal but I really think they should make a decaf sign and keep it brewed or just say we dont serve decaf. One or the other. Anyway, I do love the egg sandwiches, they are worth 5 stars.

Very good bagels but in the last two months on three different occasions including today, 09/14/15, I have ordered the same thing, a bacon, egg and cheese bagel and everytime I go to eat it, its missing the bacon. The location is convenient because its close to my work here at Capitol Police but once I get to my Post or whatever the case may be, I dont have time to go back and get another one. Its very disappointing because when you do get what you ordered its very good.

Currently sitting in the empty bagel shop with sounds of pure happiness behind the counter. Ive placed my order. Butter, cream cheese and egg on a toasted onion bagel. The cashier extremely sweet and funny. Took about five minutes and here the bagel sits looking great. It is absolutely phenomenal!!!!! The environment is clean and friendly.. five stars!!! And I will be back

We go here for lunch from time-to-time, and always enjoy it. excellent fresh breads, deli meat selections, very tasty soups and good salads. Affordable too, with friendly staff. I like the soup & 1/2 sandwich combination with either tomato or chicken noodle soup and one of the 1/2 sandwiches like the "Bada Bing"! Nice place. Good food. Friendly people. Affordable

I ordered a breakfast bagel and i must say i was impressed very good and came out quickly. I got the evreything bagel and i could taste the different flavors on each bite. Nice looking women behind the counter as well. Will be back to try the steak and cheese!

Ive been going here for years. Its great to have a neighborhood bagel shop where the proprietors do their best to learn the regulars names and orders. This Father-Daughter owner duo will brighten your morning before work... and their bagels are amazing too.

The bagels are the best Ive had in Virginia. The breakfast sandwiches are to die for -- real ingredients. Sure you have to wait while they cook things.... But that way you know its fresh! The prices are fair too! Definitely recommend.

Love the food here-breakfast or lunch! I especially like the egg sandwiches. Everything is freshly prepared to your liking and the prices are reasonable. Friendly service-Im always greeted with a smile. Definitely recommend!

The lox with cream cheese, tomatoes, and capers is out of this world. I get it on an asiago bagel. More than enough lox and it fills you up. Cant wait to try something else because I know I wont be disappointed.

Best bagels in Richmond. Thats a low bar, but its still nice to have at least one place in town that understands that bagels are not the same thing as a vaguely round loaf of bread with a hole in the middle.

Everyone was so friendly! Every time I go in, the regulars are there making everyone smile, and the cashiers were helpful and sweet. Huge sandwiches and really good cookies!! What else could you want??

My wife and I walked here only to find that they were closed. It says theyre open from 8am-1pm. Looked inside at 1030 and there was still trash bags from the night before. Terrible.
