This my second visit to Richmond looking for a decent Mexican Restaurant. I am a bit of a fool for good Mexican food and have tried many. This one beats the Mexico Restaurant just down the road for my palette.. When the salsa comes out with a great taste its a good sign the food is also very good and proved to be true here! I had the steak and chicken fajitas and the dish was delish! Was it the best Ive ever had? Well no but I will be back to try other things on the menu. The Texacana Margarita was not all that good. I have had much better margaritas. Service was very good though. I did visit at 4:30pm on a Tuesday and it was not busy. I would recommend you give this one a try if you like good Mexican food.

I work near here and some weeks I would find myself in there 3 times a week. Anything I have tried has been delicious. Great portions and flavor is amazing. If you like chori pollo, skip Mexico and come here. I can always get lunch for under 10 bucks. No where else can you do that and get the same portions, taste, and service. why spend 8 bucks on a fatboy burger when you can get real food and great service at El Nopal

My wife and I were looking for a quick bite after our flight, and this place delivered. The salsa is on the pulpy side, with a good spice to it. Nothing hot, both it will wake you up a bit. The entrees were well cooked, especially the chicken. The flavor was good, and it was served piping hot within 15 minutes of placing the order. Overall, a great little spot very close to the airport.

I have been on a tostada kick for like four months, getting one at whatever Mexican restaurant I would land at. Well I was in Richmond on business, and ate here last night. I ordered the 16 dinner combo, best Tostada I have ever had... I normally do not give reviews, but this place and its Tostadas is worthy.. The combo also came with a chicken quesadilla, it was also very good...

I Stopped in for Taco Tuesday. The decor, tables and chairs are a little dated. But the service is good. Salsa has a kick. I got a soft and crunchy taco. Both shells were cold and stiff, they both tasted like the kitchen took them right out the pack and slapped meat inside. Ill try them again on a normal day in hopes that the food quality is better next time.

Good & Cheap. They have the ranch dip that comes with the salsa & chips, 3 hard beef tacos for $5.25 a la carte... Sopapillas are lacking... Need more topping or a dip. The fajitas are huge, you could kill a bear with that much food. There werent any bears... So this could be a false claim.

Food here is awsome. Me and co-workers eat here at least once a week and all agree that its the BEST Mexican food in area or anywhere. All the employees treat you as family. Owner and Luis are the best. Thanks for great food and service and see you tomorrow

The food is always great and the ranch dipping sauce( local Richmond Sauce) for the chips is to die for. The place is easy to miss in the midst of some more aesthetically pleasing spots. However , come for the flavor and you will not be disappointed.
