I am responsible for ordering catering for my company located in Reston, VA. We end up ordering from la Madeleine at least 4 times a month if not more. Since I have been ordering from them, I have created an amazing relationship with the catering manager, Kristina. She is not only super easy to get a hold of (I either email/text or call in my order), but she suggests new menu items for our employees/clients, shes always super responsive, always on time if not early; I know I can always rely on her and la Madeleine for excellent food and customer service. She and her staff have gone out of their way to get us last minute orders and even provide incentives for future orders. The manager even personally greeted me one weekend when I visited with some friends and gave us complimentary %/$$ off our meal. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. There are many choices for catering in our area, but la Madeleine is always upping their game with our company to consistently win our business. I couldnt be happier and I really enjoy working with the staff, especially Kristina. She is a breath of fresh air when customer service these days really lacks, she has gone above and beyond. Oh and the food is, as the French say, "chez magnifique!"

Good food. Decent vegetarian selection. Not many vegan options that I saw. The espresso machine was down during my visit. The staff member responsible for restocking silverware, napkins, etc. was very distracted. He walked around a lot without doing anything. The silverware and napkins were empty with half a dozen people waiting, and he didnt do anything. It wasnt until someone asked him that he did anything. And he seemed very upset at having to do anything. I pointed out the hot water faucet for teas was dripping hot water all over the counter and he shrugged and walked away. Very poor service on his part.

I absolutely like having breakfast at LaMadeleine especially the French Toast and Quiche Florentine. Visited the Reston, Va LaMadeleine and was throughly disappointed. The quality of both of these items was horrible! My French toast was slightly hard and luke warm...being that your going to put fresh cold fruit on top the French toast it should have definitely been hot and then the Quiche did not taste completely done as in cooked throughly ...I ask the sever to warm it up at purchase and by the time I had paid and taken 2 steps away from the register he had brought it back to me

I had a nice experience here. The ordering process was different than what Im used to, but the staff comes greet you right at the door to take your order so youll know what to do. After you order, you will get your soup from the ladies behind the counters (if you got soup). Then you pay and you will get a number and you seat yourselves (They will bring out the food to you). It was a pleasant experience. Also - You can go and grab as much bread as you want for your meal if youre inclined. The food was good, I really like the tomato soup as others have mentioned.

DONT EAT HERE! If you absolutely must, order something cold that looks somewhat fresh (which is limited). Any hot foods are cooked by Chef Microwave. So unless you love gloppy gravy, overcooked pasta, or a piping bowl of sodium, eat at one of the dozens of fantastic nearby restaurants. The only reason Ive had the displeasure of eating here was because of meetings or someone (who clearly doesnt like me) gave me a L.M gift card. I will never eat here again -- there are too many other great places to eat within walking distance.

My favorite cafe to hang out at when I need to relax. Wi- fi internet is not so great here, slow, so you dont want to bring "work." More of a nice spacious socializing or book club kind of cafe. Coffee sodas and complimentary bread and butter jelly are all self serve. Nice cafeteria style line and one line designated for dessert and Togo which is nice and convenient. Minus one star for outdated funky / needs renovating restrooms. And also bad wifi. Other than that its a cute little place.

The service was a little slow but pleasant. The food was above average I thought, I had the french dip and my fiance had the half-chicken. their dessert was good too. The big thing I liked was they had the calories posted for everything which I found to be really helpful in making my decision. It was a little over priced though, it was like $30 for lunch, which I personally think is a little high for two people to eat lunch, but we will probably be back.

One of my favorite places for breakfast when I have time to sit. My favorite item on the menu is the freshly made blackberry cream croissant. I always come for coffee too! I love the classical music that plays and the dim lighting. Although you can hear chatter from surrounding tables, it seems to blend well with the ambiance. Its in a great location and works well for visitors who are staying near Reston Town Center.

I have not studied thermodynamics but someone who has needs to study their soup. Mine was served immediately and my cup was hot to the touch but the soup itself was cold as I ate it. My husbands soup had to be made and took roughly five minutes to get to us. It arrived steaming but again as we each had a bite (while steaming mind you) it was again lukewarm. All in all disappointing.

The tomato soup is the only thing worth going for, which is not saying much. They overcharged me at the register, and told me they were going to return my money. instead, they proceeded to charge my account AGAIN for even more money. If this restaurant was the last place serving food on earth, I would rather starve to death.

Its like French Panera. We sat by the fire which was very cozy. The house wines and mimosas are affordable and decent quality. I liked the pesto pasta salad and the spinach quiche, and the table next to us were enjoying the tomato soup. Its a chain, so if you have picky eaters this might be a good fit.

The food was delicious and the service was amazing. I will definitely be coming back soon. It was my first time, and the flow of the restaurant was a bit confusing. A sign that said order here would have been helpful for newbies like me. Thank you to the staff that make this place rock!!

Great pastries and meal choices. Wish they had service instead of just a counter. Rustic french country atmosphere and decor with working fireplace is very pleasant for a casual meeting. Weather permitting, there is some outdoor seating in the back facing a traffic intersection.

Okay food - diner type food - flavors are a bit on the salty side. Desserts are pleasing to the palette, good but not too sweet or dipped in sugar. Youll love to sit next to the wood burning fireplace on a cold rainy day with a warm bowl of soup.

La Madeleine makes an admirable effort to serve interesting French cuisine, but it cant match up to an authentic, real (and more expensive) French restaurant. I recommend sticking to their bakery, which showcases the best they have to offer.
