I usually go to the Shilla in Annandale; however, every once in awhile, Ill frequent this Shilla for kicks. They also have a wide assortment of baked goods, desserts, cakes, bingsoos, and drinks. They usually have samples to try and everything is decently priced and yummy enough. Every year for my parents birthdays or mine, I get a cake here (or at Shilla in Annandale or Breeze Bakery). The cakes are also good. Shilla makes chocolate chiffon, yellow sponge, green tea, chocolate cream, etc - most of them have strawberries, blueberries, kiwis, raspberries, and other fruits on top. They even make cakes shaped like pig faces, roses, and other cute shapes and figures. And if you tell them its for a birthday, theyll put the cake into a nice, sturdy box, throw in a plastic knife, and some tall candles for you. One significant drawback to this Shilla is that during rush hour, Old Lee Highway is incredibly congested. I feel like Im a snail moving along this road alongside hundreds of other snails. The plaza this Shilla is in isnt too bad, although its difficult to turn either left or right out of this plaza during the busy rush hour, so be prepared. 3.5 stars.

Ahhh. I love this bakery. Nice, kind staff. Great food. Great food. And of course you guess it, great food. The prices are bit higher than those of other bakeries but I say its justified. I so far have boba tea, snofluff, and pastries here and have been blown away by the quality of all items. Top notch stuff here. The place itself is very cozy. I can go in and just look at pastries without the cashier stating at me and I can try samples without being judged. I dont feel confused on where items are or how to order stuff. For a bakery, there is a decent amount of tables for people to sit at and eat. I can sit down and enjoy my snacks. The bathroom feels dirty though.

I always like Shila Bakery because that is the only place(I think) that has sweet potato cake. I love this cake since it was introduced to me by my Korean friend in 2006 and I always make a point to get some in case I will be nearby any Shila Bakery. But unfortunately the one that I bought today(4/11/11) was I think old because it has a sour taste that I never experience before. For a small slice cake of $4.95 that is too expensive but I dont mind paying as long as I can eat and satisfy myself. I do hope they will put some expiration date,so they can control their cakes to old on a new one. I got this experience at their Fairfax Boulevard branch.

Extremely rude and unprofessional staff ! Never going back again ! While waiting for our cakes and tarts to get packed, my friend and I tried one of their "sample" cakes and while we were still standing there, the woman snapped the sample box shut and took it back. Offended by the behavior, my friend offered to pay for the sample mini cake to which she grudgingly apologized.

So not worth it. We went on for a coffee and a pastry. The cappuccino was s hot it was undrinkable and burned. All the baked goods were wrapped in plastic and seemed like they had been there a while. I got some kind of mocha cake that was so low on flavor that I just tossed it. It kind of ruined my rare morning off work without kids.

Wow what quality and amazing prices. I stumbled into this bakery today and bought a few different items and I am left in shock that I have never been here before. My favorite item that I purchased was a ham and cheese bread, which is simple sounding but it was anything but. I will be back next time I am in the area.

Had the oreo monster cake and green tea boba. Both were very good. Boba had a nice texture and the green tea smoothie came out quickly. Would definitely go again. There are tons of pastries and they offer free samples. It also has a hip and modern feel to it.

Extremely bad!!!! First , the food is not great . Their pastries were old. May be they had a bad day for my bad experience, but they mix up orders and bill it . Upon doing that , they dont even return your money . Cheapo bakery . Never visiting again.

Love coming here. Great boba/bubble tea. Actually, they make ones of the best bubbles in the area. The bakery/pastry is second to none. The cakes are alright but I have only tried a few of the selections. Staff is really nice.

Very tasty pastries and they put out a ton of samples. They use Illy coffee products and honestly for a plain cup of black coffee I think they beat Starbucks on taste. One drawback is no highchairs for the little ones.

Desserts are banging! Try the bingsu, especially the caramel one if you love chocolate stuff. The bread and cake are good. The lines tend to be long on weekends, so go there during the week and stock up.
