This place is fabulous! Off the beaten path and tucked away near the water, Mutiny has made a fantastic addition to a little Glen Burnie neighborhood. I drove an hour to get here from Bethesda, and it did not disappoint! Id love to have it closer by, but I am sure it is a trip I will be making again and again. I called several days in advance to reserve the Captains Table for a party of 12, and they could not have been more accommodating. We were not the easiest of groups -- in addition to twelve adults, we had in attendance three children all under three -- but the wait staff is pretty unflappable. Theres no childrens menu, but our waiter assured the table immediately that the kitchen will happily prepare chicken fingers, grilled cheeses, fresh juice, and other kid-friendly off-menu items...and that was offered without anyone even asking. The service was impressive. As for the food on the menu? It is spot on. I ordered the mussels (excellent, with plenty of garlic, onions, and tomato...plus really good grilled bread) and then the seafood stew (impressively stocked with clams, mussels, and perfectly cooked fish, all floating in a really tasty tomato broth and also accompanied by more really good grilled bread), and spent the evening sipping some of the best mojitos Ive had anywhere. If you like yours tart, these are for you. They are dangerously addictive. The food is also preposterously well-priced for the DC/Baltimore metro area; our bill included four cocktails, a beer, two entrees, and an appetizer and totaled only a little more than $60. Mutiny prides itself on its rum selection, which does not disappoint. They offer flights and several quite interesting looking rum-based cocktails. I wouldve loved to try them, but was quickly addicted to the mojitos and so could not bring myself to order something different. Our table also had a number of beer connoisseurs, all of whom seemed as equally impressed with the beer selection as I was by my mojitos. Visitors to Mutiny should snap a picture with the Captain before they leave -- he sits skeletally at the end of the bar, complete with a parrot and a three-pointed hat. The space is cozy and comfortable, and there is no seat in the building where you cannot see a large TV. Its a great place to watch sports--particularly the Ravens. Go check it out! You wont be disappointed.

Tucked away right amidst a waterfront neighborhood, this little dive has quite a bit to offer. While I didnt dine inside yesterday evening (July 15, 2016), I had a pleasant time with a friend on the outside deck. I ordered the Grilled Angus Ranch Steak. It was a thicker cut of meat so next time I order Ill get it medium instead of med-well. However, it was served in a large soup bowl. Im unsure if thats what was the intention. The sides of sauteed green beans and mashed potatoes were quite tasty and complimented the steak quite well. It was a pleasant night, not too buggy, with sounds of laughter from nearby tables and a steady flow of people coming in and out. The atmosphere was of good spirits. At one point, a motorcyclist came out and started his engine and revved it really high, to the annoyance of anyone attempting to have a conversation on the outside deck. No ones perfect. (Im a motorcyclist, too, but attempt to be courteous) As the night winded down after a few beers, I took a visit to the restrooms. This establishment (for men) has a wide open bathroom that is seemingly for one occupant, though thankfully a lock on the door so no one busts in on someone doing their "duty". For a busy, bustling bar & grille, this would be my only grievance, thus robbing my review of 5 stars. I suppose, pissing in a darker part of the parking lot between two cars might be a work-around for this inconvenience, at least for guys. Two thumbs up for Mutiny Pirate Bar and Island Grille.

This place is great! We were in area visiting from Virginia Beach for the weekend and wanted something new and different to eat. at first the directions made us think we were heading to someones house back in a neighborhood but when my boyfriend and I found it we were thankful to have eaten lunch there. They were busy but still gave us great service. We sat at the bar and the choice of rum and beers to choose from was awesome and sooooo many. the fried pickle Spears are the best ones Ive ever had and I always order fried pickles. The vday specials they had were delicious. I loved the pirate theme and the woodwork. The tables were barrels. If you have a chance to visit here please do. It would be really nice to go again when the weather is warmer

I have been coming here regularly for a few months, maybe 2 months after they opened. I have had almost everything on the menu and not once have I been let down with the quality or the flavor of the food. They serve local craft brews from Clipper City as well as a few others, but they also have 120 some different bottles of rum. Do yourself a favor and get a passport and try every one of them. You will especially like Kilo Kai. Update: 4 years later and this is still my favorite place. I just came back from 1.5 years overseas and this is the only place i wanted to come back to for food and good atmosphere. I get my wish tonight. I even had restaurants overseas attempt to create the Shipwreck burger...its the best burger ever.

If youre looking for a truly great rum bar, look no further. The owner of Mutiny doesnt just go to your local liquor store and buy whatever rum he sees - no. This place has well over 100 rums from all over the world of every type you can imagine: dark, aged, spiced, gold, white. If that doesnt get you there, then let me tell you: theyre not slouches in the kitchen either. The food is great, and the portions are neither too small nor ridiculously over-sized.... Unless you order the Shipwreck Burger. In which case, you better wear your stretchy pants. The staff is great, and Paige (the bartender I interact with mostly) is great at her craft. Not sure what you want? Shes got you covered.

We pulled up by boat on 8/14/15. By the looks of the available slips for boat parking and the outside, I wasnt too sure about this place. Never judge a book by its cover. Food was outstanding. Best onion rings Ive ever had in my life. Not sure what they put in the batter but they were big and amazing. Atmosphere inside was loud but really cool. Husband ordered the pulled pork and you could tell it was made with time and love. I got the gumbo which hit the spot for me. Next time ill get the fish tacos. They looked amazing. Definitely recommend this place .. and order the Onion Rings for sure.

Great restaurant and rum bar! Ive been going to Mutiny for a couple years now and still love it every time. They have great weekend menu specials that are always changing up so there is something new to try all the time. I probably go to Mutiny every other Friday for the specials. Drinks are modestly priced and food is ALWAYS fresh and hot. The waiting staff... err Crew is great as well. They are always pleasant and happy to see return customers. Definitely check this place out if you like rum, good food, and a fun atmosphere!
