I have had a number of great experiences here, and absolutely love their pesto cavatappi, but todays experience was a deal-breaker. I had ordered online before and picked up my food on the way home from the gym (this restaurant is not super close to where I live, so I only go on special occasions), and was satisfied with the service, so for my husbands birthday today, I decided to get some takeout from Corner Bakery so that we could have a nice night in while he played his new video game. At like 12:00 pm, I put in an online order for two orders of pesto cavatappi (one with bacon for my husband) with kale Caesar salads. I requested a pick-up time of 5:15. I received two confirmation emails, so was confident that my order would be waiting for me. I fought traffic for over 30 minutes to get there, but I knew it would be worth it on I saw the look on my husbands face when I had one of his favorite meals waiting for him at home later. When I walked into the Corner Bakery, there were two people working the cash registers, and one of them was helping another customer. He nodded for me to go to the other register so I did, but the girl working the register ignored me for several minutes. When she finally stopped chatting with another employee, I gave her my name and asked if my online order were ready. She looked at me like I was crazy, and started looking in the computer. The first thing she said to me was, "you were supposed to choose a pick up time". I responded that I had chosen 5:15, which was still a few minutes away, so if my order wasnt quite ready yet, I could wait a couple minutes. She told me my order "must not have gone through". Before I had a chance to say anything she also informed me that "they did not have the capability to make pesto cavatappi at all, so she could make me macaroni", suggesting that in fact my order had gone through since she knew what I had ordered without me having told her. I am extremely frustrated that the restaurant would allow me to order food that is not available, without a phone call or email letting me know that fact. Macaroni and cheese is not an acceptable substitute for the pesto chicken cavatappi, so I left without ordering anything else. I spent over an hour driving there and back, and had to come home without my husbands birthday dinner, a huge disappointment. None of the employees apologized or expressed any remorse. In fact they only seemed annoyed that I was there and might ask them to make food for me. I am unlikely to return to this restaurant.

Sep 4, 2011 I swear this place used to be a good place to get a sandwich but not anymore. In the last three times I visited this place, the food or service has been terrible. Ill list the experiences so you get an idea: 1) ordered a smoked turkey moms sandwich. The bread was a little hard - i.e. it wasnt fresh. and the turkey was a little off - it had that rubbery texture and a preservative kind of aftertaste to it. 2) ordered a roast beef moms sandwich. Bread was actually frozen when they brought it out. I asked for sourdough instead of the usual bread slice and it was obvious they pulled it out of the refrigerator but it hadnt defrosted enough so I had to ask a manager to toast the bread so I wouldnt have to bite through hard icy bread. However, when I did bite through, the roast beef I thought I had wasnt actually roast beef. I think it was some other meat but the manager said it was corned beef. corned beef != roast beef. And this was also highly rubbery and the preservative aftertaste was strong. 3) Ordered a blueberry bagel - it didnt come with cream cheese like I asked. I ended up having to visit a manger to ask for it when the service lady didnt come by the table after waiting five minutes. one trip to get cream cheese does not take 5 minutes. The bottom line, there are far better places to get your food for the high prices they charge here. It simply isnt worth it to go to this place.

First off, their coffee is cold after about 2pm, and nobody seems to care. It takes about 10 minutes to get them make fresh coffee per a special request. Secondly, they dont serve home fries with omelette after 1 pm however the menu says you can have it at any time. This is what I was told that at the register as I made my order. I chose to get a sandwich instead and paid for it. I sat at the table waiting for my order when the manager came to me and said they dont have apple sausages anymore. I said I want to cancel my order because out of two items from the menu they failed to serve anything. How hard is that? What are you doing there if feeding people isnt your business?

So I had a catering order for delivery at 6pm this evening. Guess what the restaurant is closed and they never delivered. I order pretty regularly from here the last order was extremely late and when I followed up they explained an issue with the coffee machine. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Well how do you explain completely missing my order. Certainly remembered when you charged my Credit card this morning! The best is my orders are for private events so this really impacts my event. So not pleased. Take it from me.... Order somewhere else!!!

Not very impressed. I was recommended to come here, and upon approaching the counter the woman there taking orders was not very friendly, and did not seem to know the menu very well. I get its the morning, and no one is stoked to work morning shifts, but i feel if youre being paid to work the shoft, there should be some level of energy or friendliness. The menu itself is very narrow in my opinion, as it only seems to offer various scrambled eggs. It would also be nice if there were vegan options.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I was a frequent customer at this location and i will never return. On several times my order was not properly placed, but the worst was today. My food came out cold, which i never return food. However today was the worst experience any customer can experience; a cockroach in my food. You would think that this restaurant would be top notch since its in Tysons Galleria but that is not the case. Be careful when you come to this location!!

The food was mediocre at best, but the attitude of the staff was just abysmal. The woman behind the counter was all too eager to prioritize gossiping about a previous customer to attend to people waiting in line, and was also more eager to go back to chatting instead of fulfilling the order. When the orders were finally served, items were missing and the staff seemed clueless as to who had ordered what just minutes prior. Needless to say, never coming here again.

Food here SUCKSSSS.. Plus half of the people at the register dont speak proper English. Worst part is that they dont even ask anyone as to how they wants their food (like what kind of bread n all). Went there twice n it was a complete disaster. Now, I just get angry whenever someone says they wana go Corner Bakery, this is how much I hate this place.
