Mistreatment by manager....,called us liars in front of everybody! I just took away 5 stars... and dropped it to a "1". Why? Let me explain: I am a regular customer who visits the restaurant there on 8365 Sudley Road in Manassas, Va 20109 quite frequently. Often I get a "to go" box But also may sit in during 1pm-4pm for "senior discount". Today, after church I invited a friend who at first did not want go there, but later convinced her that the food was good. And because we were both "seniors" we were able to get a discount. I was not aware of the "Sunday policy" for seniors because I usually only come during the week. A young lady by the name of "Carina" was our waitress and was very nice and happy to serve us. During the ordering of drinks we "specifically" asked her if the drinks were free for seniors , and she said "yes". This all happened on 5/28/17, around after 13:51 pm. My girlfriend and I both were approached by her again later, asking us if we wanted more to drink. We asked her once again if it was free, she said "yes", so we said ,"ok, then, "sure", we would take a refill. So, between the two of us, we had 4 drinks. When the time came to pay at the register, a female manager", began to tell us the drinks were NOT "free". We explained that the waitress told us differently, and that we would not have ordered all those drinks if we knew that we would be charged. Her disposition was EXTREMELY "unprofessional", and she began to argue with us in front of everybody, telling us it was the policy. We explained that we "respect" the policy, but that it was not what the waitress sold to us, nor charged us, ...and it was not our fault. Well, my girlfriend was very upset because she was being treated so disrespectfully in front of everyone, and the manager was rude and argued with us and refused to believe us,.. telling us that the waitress had been there for years, and knew better. It was Horrifying! A huge argument in front of everyone in the restaurant that could see and hear....and those also standing in line. What really upset me, was the fact that she was calling us "liars" in front of everyone, and refused to face the fact the waitress gave us misinformation. I told her that maybe the waitress got the days mixed up, but I usually order water when I come. This manager lacks good customer service skills. I have been in the field of customer service for many years in tbe past for Big, well known companies; therefore I know for a fact, her skills were demeaning and very unprofessional, and I would never, ever, want to have be confronted by her again. The young spanish girls that work there have far much better character and customer service skills then she could ever have. I was so disappointed. I had to apologize to my girlfriend afterwards for inviting her there. She said she would never go there again. Unfortunately, we both felt unhappy and departed, not on good terms today because of the horrible experience. I continually had to call her and apologize for the rudeness we both had to experience. I was never about the money....we both have money, and she works in tbe medical field. It was about the way we were treated, and the way the manager made us appear to the other customers, as "liars".....

We have been coming here for years and what I saw after my meal last night was disgusting and I will never ever go back. A young boy, around 4 to 5 years old was touching the food on the bar, licking his fingers and touching the food again. He held the tongs some times but then he started licking the tongs and putting them back in the food! He was picking food off of the bar and eating it directly from the bar with his hands, dropped some tongs on the floor and all the while no one said a word. I pulled the manager to the side and told her but she really didnt do anything! His mother was just letting him do whatever he pleased despite the fact that there is a sign saying anyone under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult. The contaminated food stayed on the bar and the people were still getting contaminated food after I told the manager! Ill never go back!

Where to begin?!The only positive thing about our visit was there was no wait. The carpet looks to be the original carpet from when this place opened. Its filthy and torn with tape in places to keep it down. The chairs are sticky to the touch. I can only imagine all the germs on these chairs. The tables are old and wobbly. We must have picked a bad night, I even joked to my husband that we must have gotten the leftovers from Sunday. The scallop potatoes were dried out, the chicken was not hot and crunchy as it normally is. The fish was bland and luke warm as best. And, to just add to the matter when going to pay, the cashier was eating an ice cream cone. She just sat it down on the counter while she took my money. How nasty was that? That sums up our visit.

A child was touching and dropping every buffet utensil and setting it back into the food. I spoke with the manager and all she said was we spoke with the parent. Meanwhile we sat in the front and watched every person use the same exact buffet utensil to get food that this child dropped on the floor or touched. Absolutely disgusting. The manager ultimately did nothing. I advised her she needed to remove every utensil and change out the food but she ignored my advise. Truly a health concern and needs to be inspected by a government agency. The mother never once got up to get her child and the manager has a responsibility to maintain a safe and healthy environment for her patrons and completed disregarded my concerns.

One of my favorite restaurants.the food is excellent!! Love the baked potatoes and sweet potatoes that they bring fresh from the oven. Every Thursday night a group of my friends and I go there. We get great service. Weve come to know some of the workers there. Ulysa, Manning, Takisha they are all great!! Ulysa greets us with warm hugs. They treat one of one of my friends who have an allergy reaction to certain foods especially good, buy fixing foods specifically for her. They go out of their way to do that. Its a good place to eat and I would recommend it. Right now its Sunday morning and Im headed over for breakfast. The chief makes the best omelets!

This place on Sundays has a chef name Edwin that makes the worst omelet, has unfriendly attitude and hates everyone that is not a sucker for bad service which dont tip him for his lousy omelet, I asked him to take a yoke to make eggs and he said he does not know how !!! after I told him I seen him do it before he changed his tone and said he will try. In my opinion anyone that does not know how to make omelet with eggs whites has no business working in restaurant especially on Sunday where people come to enjoy and relax rather than having burnt omelet that took Edwin 25 minutes to make.
