The combination of location, atmosphere, and staffing make this place a great go-to place without all the "divey-ness" of some smaller bars. The food, while unoriginal (standard bar fare combined with hand tossed pizza), is generally very good, cheap, and dependable. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and makes you feel comfortable, which contributes to that community go-to feel. If you live nearby, and are looking for a place for a drink, place to watch the game, or just a place to chill out, Slice is it. And they really do have the largest tequila selection in Wilmington. Its impressive.

Generally I enjoy Slice, but tonight I ordered take out and they sent me home with the wrong salad. I called to let them know so there would not be a wait when I arrived to pick up the correct salad. The girl laughed on the phone. She never apologized... just said it was OK that they had to make another salad. Well, guess what... iT was not OK that I had to drive back and forth twice because of their mess up. I am glad they gave me the correct salad the second time, but I would have felt better if they had at least acknowledged responsibility. Another example of very POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

We went there for a late night snack and a drink. Our waiter was very short with us. As we were ordering our food he walked away without making sure we were done with our order. Food was good but service was terrible. I dont understand why he was in such a hurry with us. But as a customer services is just as important as good food. After all it is the customers that keep a place going. We wont spend our $$ there again thats for sure.

Not sure what all the other negative reviews on here are about, but our experience at Slice of Life was excellent. The pizza was amazing. The nachos were HUGE and tasted great. The service was good and the pricing was reasonable for what you received. All in all, would I eat there again? Definitely!

Seriously the worst pizza in all of Wilmington and expensive too! Sauce is too spicy crust too thick and not enough toppings. Incredible and Michelangelos is what good pizza is so save your taste buds. I Seriously am not sure how slice hasnt gone under yet... sub par pizza at outrageous prices.

Mostly for locals and nearby regulars. The pizza is above average,nothing spectacular. The same goes for the landfall location. The big draw is that they are open late. However as many have said the consistently average service takes a nose dive after 9pm. The downtown location has better pie.

Not happy at all with my experience there today. The server brought out our nachos that were obviously burnt and I ask to have them remade. We waited a good while for them and then they brought out the nachos burnt again!! Left without eating.

Love this place, thunder and lightning, pouring down rain and the waitress is happy to wait on us outside....due to having our dogs with us!! Great customer service and food is great too!! Steak quesadilla is awesome!!!

Its NOT New York style pizza. Its thinner crust. Fresh toppings. Other menu items. My chili was very tasty! Kid friendly. TVs, trivia board, full bar. Neighborhood hangout. Friendly atmosphere. Outdoor seating.
