I went here a while back and would usually forget about leaving a review, however my experience was so awful that it needs to be heard. It wasnt that the pork BBQ sa which I ordered was grey in color and tasted like yesterdays news paper on a bun, but how the manager handled the situation. When I had told them how I satisfied I was with the pork BBQ sand which I had only taken 1 bite out of, he dismissed that there was even a problem. Stating," thats how the BBQ comes." Really?? Really?!? With no bbq sauce? Not even North Carolina style-which I prefer-but there was nothing but grey, stale, pork meat on top of a generic bun. When I told him that I wasnt going to pay for this bc its inedible, he fired back stating that I had already eaten it and he doesnt give refunds. Well with a restaurant loosing business due to their poor staff and disgusting food, I could imagine why he would have trouble finding it in his budget to refund me the $6 for the sandwhich. I stay clear of this place. Id much rather go to the gas station across the street!

We took my son there for his birthday lunch. They have THE BEST crabcakes - mostly lump crab with a delicate flavor and texture youd expect from a high end seafood restaurant. Their homemade desserts are delicious. Dad loved their collard greens (and hes picky). We all loved the french fries. Its not the fastest place in town, but only because everything is cooked fresh. The wait is worth it. The service was great. I cant say enough good things about the friendly staff. They even brought my son a slice of cake with a candle and helped us sing happy birthday!

We went to this place while in town for a wedding. The owner is the waitress and Maria helps out with clearing the tables. Wow!! By the looks on outside you would think it was swamped but there were plenty of tables open. We went for breakfast and enjoyed every bite. The hospitality in this place by the employees and the locals was unbelievable. I was able to tried biscuits and gravy for the first time. If we could give this place more stars we would. Thanks again for a great breakfast! ❤️Clintt, Jennifer, Cameron and Julianna from PA

Stopped here for lunch (Sunday) at about noon. The place was busy, but we found a table right away. After looking at the menu, we wanted to order lunch but they were out of a number of items. Had to order breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were a little bland, scrapple was good and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The sign on the outside of the building was misleading; they dont have much on the menu for dinner entree choices. Service was pretty slow from the kitchen, especially for breakfast food.

This is a great small town diner. I had breakfast there this morning with a group of friends. I ordered their western omelet. It was very good. The place it self is small and is in an old building. But that gives it character. The waitress was very kind to us and made sure our coffee cups where full. You can tell that this is a normal place people visit to eat because it seemed like everyone knew each other. If Im out in Culpeper again, Ill be sure to stop and eat here.

Country Cafe is a great little place to have a home cooked meal. You dont find establishments like this very often. The staff and the owner are always so nice and quick to serve. My wife and kids really enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend visiting this little old town gem

I love this spot. Its cozy. Its cheap. I live in new York. But when I visit family we go here. Nothing fancy here. Its a hole in the wall for sure. Dont go here trying to have a romantic meal. But its like going over your cousins house and having some family time food.
