Brixx is a good pizza chain - ample custom pizzas, sandwich and salad options. This location is in a former Boston Market building so it lacks some of the charm you might find in other locations. Service was good - one mix up on an order was quickly remedied. Wait staff was attentive and accommodating. Brixx has excellent gluten free options, but the execution in this instance was not great. It looks like in order to avoid cross contamination the GF pizzas are placed on a tin platter before going in the wood-fired oven. I appreciate the intent, but I ended up with an undercooked pizza crust that was almost mortally stuck to the garbage can lid they brought it out on. Again, I really appreciate the intent, but suggest reviewing the cooking procedures and perhaps coating the cooking sheet with non stick. Overall good experience and the others in my group really enjoyed the food and service.

Heres the thing about Brixx, its a fine restaurant. Im sure you can go here and enjoy the decent flatbread pizzas, but dont expect an experience that revolves around pizza. Im a bit of a pizza snob, and when Im paying $10 for a single person flatbread pizza, and then $4 for a beer, Im expecting gold. What I got was far from it. The pizza was pretty damn bland, and the $4 beer was served in a glass fit for wine tasting. It was seriously 4 freakin ounces of beer. I paid $1 per ounce of beer. Ludicrous! You dont go to Brixx if you want pizza, you go to Brixx if youre roped into going with a group, or they have some sort of entertainment youre interested in. If you want pizza though, just have it delivered to your house from one of the chain restaurants. I dont recommend this place for it.

My boyfriend and I are a little more of the traditional, Italian style pizza lovers, so we were a little disappointed with this place. The setting was mediocre. The pizza was also mediocre. The crust was meh. Also, when they said personal sized pizzas, I was expecting maybe something smaller, but to me this was like medium size. I could barely eat half the pizza! Maybe it was my misunderstanding as I thought 10" was a little large but the server insisted they were like personal-pans. Anyway, if you like crazy chicken pizzas with teriyaki sauces and whatnot then this is your kind of place! Just not for us.

Ive been to this restaurant many times now and the food is awesome. Of course the pizza is great with plunty of different topping options, but everything else I ever ordered was delicious as well. The only thing that made me not give Brixx a five star rating was due to the last time my boyfriend and I ate there.. (Maybe it was a one time mistake/fluke) he ordered one of the pasta dishes and the waitress got the order completely wrong and thought he ordered a sandwich... Ill probably go back there at some point because the food really is awesome, but Im still a little worried about how the service will be.

Consistently good pizzas, fresh, well prepared and perfectly cooked. I am partial to their Greek, with balsamic drizzle... a steal at $9 and an incredible deal after 10pm when you get 2 for 1!!! Waiters are friendly, efficient - seems like good management is present. They have an inviting and well positioned terrace for al-fresco dining on balmy nights. This is NOT your thick pan pizza so if thats your thing, move on. But Im a fan... and Ive introduced others to this Napolitano style pie. This is MY go-to place for late at night hunger pangs!

We stopped in after visiting my mother on Easter at UVA Hospital. The food was tasty but the pizza was a tad on the bland side but not un-enjoyable....just a little bland. The 1/2 portion of the Brixx salad was smaller than expected but the house made balsamic dressing was so tasty it totally made up for the size of the salad. Gluten Free and Vegan options too. Ill definitely visit again when we are back in town. AND our waiter Quentin was awesome! He made the experience extra enjoyable!

Came here for dinner during vacation because of their good gluten free ratings. I wish we hadnt. TERRIBLE gluten free pizza. Soggy in the middle and burnt on the outside, and has to have been the single blandest pizza I have ever had. I have never had peppers or onions with literally no taste, it blew my mind. I still dont understand how that is possible. My beer also ended up with a big fruit fly in it. We will never eat at any Brixx again. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

Brixx always has great service and fantastic pizza. I love the daily specials, especially discounted local brews. They also have weeknight specials after 10 on their hot, fresh, wood-fired pizza. They have plenty of options to accommodate diets including gluten-free crust and vegan cheese. You can sit outside and play Cornhole while you wait or catch the game inside on one of their many screens. This is a great casual joint to hang out with friends or relax with family.

If you really like pizza, then you will not go to this place. You can see through the pizza. Little if any sauce or topping on them. Mine was cold when it arrived, wait person could care less. A little building surrounded by asphalt, which would probably taste better than the pizza. The beers must be the only thing keeping this place open.

DEAD FLOWERS in all but two flowerpots outside, they could be saved by watering them now, lady who greets at door said who cares!! This is how we were greeted. Then waitress brings wrong dressings, says never heard of "FRENCH" later. Pizza came cold. Mgr. was very nice tho....Used to be better...

If you like thin crust pizza Brixx is the place to go. It has one of the best pizzas in town. I dont give this place a 5 stars because they have a very slow service, mainly during the dinner time, but if you arent in a hurry or plan to go there for lunch, I highly recommend this place.

Service not so good No real beer, large selection of flavored craft beer Pizza not that great If Brixx is trying to compete with Mellow Mushroom, they have a very long way to go and at this point they will never get there I will never return to Brixx nor will I recommend them

I know this is a chain but I really like the thin crust pizza they serve. Very relaxed atmosphere and great topping choices. Very expensive for pizza but they often have coupons for buy one get one half off. Service has always been great.

Their food is fantastic, and the servers are always friendly and knowledgeable. They have options for people with just about any kind of allergy, but the gluten-free crust leaves something to be desired.
