After spending the summer in DC, I wasnt expecting to find an Ethiopian restaurant in Centreville after going to Manassas Battlefield. I went to numerous Ethiopian restaurants in DC and found most of them to be slightly disappointing. Most were far too oily for my liking. I was pleasantly surprised by Manna. The food (vegetarian combo) was as good as any restaurant in DC - only Chercher and Zenebach compare. The portion for two was just right. The injera mustve been especially good because we went through a lot of it. I love that you can also buy injera to go. While we were there that was a popular option for people who stopped in. Dont worry about the strip mall setting, the simple decor, or the limited seating. Manna has great Ethiopian food and friendly service; that is all that matters.

Cozy spot for great Ethiopian food! Loved the vegetarian combo I ordered. The lady who served us was very very friendly and allowed us to customize our order. The serving style was a little different from most Ethiopian restaurants Ive been to - we each got our own plates and the dishes came out in little bowls that we could spoon our dishes from into our own plates (as opposed to getting big plates with the dishes laid out on top of the injera). Would definitely go back (and regularly if I lived closer).

I have been to Mannas Bistro and Bakery a few times. Their injera is always very fresh. The food reminds me of home cooked Eritrean, Ethiopian food that I have had , my Eritrean friends place- awesome. Service is very good, the place is run by two sisters, who are very polite, nice and courteous, without being intruding. They need to add some music and the place is golden. A little hidden gem tucked away. This place needs to be discovered by others. Will definitely recommend to others.

I personally consider this to be a hidden gem of Centreville. While Im not convinced this is the best Ethiopian food in the northern Virginia area (yet), I certainly feel like its amazing for its price and Id recommend anyone looking for Ethiopian in the area to try here. Their bakery too, is a tremendous bang for your buck. For instance, their macaroons while again not the best Ive ever heard are still an incredible bargain. Definitely give Manna a shot if youre in the area.

First off, the owner that served us is super fabulous! She came to us and literally walked us through the entire menu, asked preference question then made suggestions. She spent a great deal of time explaining everything. The presentation was spot on. This is of course followed by the best part!... The food was absolutely amazing. My wife and I both highly recommended this establishment!

The food here is super-fresh, with some of it coming from the owners farm (lamb, tomatoes, etc...). I am a huge fan of Ethiopian food. Most Ethiopian restaurants have good meats but the veggie dishes are so-so. Manna has the best veggie dishes I have had by far! The red lentil dish is superb- and the lamb is amazing! Gluten-free friendly too. Management is very kind and attentive.

Amazing service and great food. This is a bit of unique experience--the food is spooned from bowls onto soft, spongey bread and is then eaten with your fingers. Its delicious. If you like Indian food, youll like Ethiopian. The spices used are similar. I recommend the honey wine, too. Its made in-house.

Really flavorful food. First time here. In used to family style but owner said leftovers last longer when done individually. She brought it out on a platter in such a way that we could do family style but still have great leftovers. Highly recommend.

Really lovely to stop by and take a break. Had tea and coffee and pastries here with my mum before an appointment. Its a locally-owned business so it is really lovely to support. Would recommend 10/10 for both atmosphere and food/drink.
