It may be in the middle of practically nowhere with only a gas station as its companion, but Rice Pot Asian Cuisine serves great Chinese food. I was a bit skeptical when I heard that this standalone restaurant on Backlick earned 4 stars with over 200 reviews but after trying Rice Pot, I can definitely attest to their delicious food. We ordered the chicken and tofu clay pot with salted fish ($13.95), congee with pork and century egg ($6.95), and Chinese yu choy with garlic sauce ($12.95). Congee with pork and century egg takes me back to my childhood, as it is a very popular and traditional Chinese breakfast. Its definitely enough for two people, maybe even three. The chicken and tofu clay pot with salted fish was very good as well and again, enough to fill up two people easily. I would definitely recommend trying one of the clay pots. Service was prompt and very attentive. Staff was always on hand to answer questions, field requests, and chat politely. The parking lot is a bit tight, but there are spots in the back. While the space may not be the most modern, its clean, bright, and pretty spacious. Theres even a bar with TVs. Excellent food, great service, and cheap(er) prices.

Rice Pot Asian Cuisine - 8 November 2014 - Friday night the men from McLean Bible Church "First Light" study group all took their wives out for a dinner date. We chose the Rice Pot. Elisha the Manager set up a special table for the 14 of us so we all could be together. The Price Pot was the perfect place for our dinner date event. It was the best place, with the best service, and outstanding food. Our dates were impressed. We were impressed with the Rice Pot family staff. The best Cantonese food. EVER!!!! I ordered Congee with seafood, Pork Chops with Pineapples, Honey glazed chicken wings and Sate Chicken with Veggies Portion sizes are very generous. The Congee was by far my favorite, eaten with red wine vinegar and chili oil. I brought my son and we have left overs for 2 more meals. Blown away with how fresh it tastes! Tried it out from a Groupon and Im going to be a regular customer starting now.

This place is amazing!! The dumplings are the best I have been able to find since leaving San Francisco (grew up within walking distance of Chinatown). Its a little pricier than other Chinese restaurants in the area but well worth it!! You can tell they care about quality.. I drive from another town just to pick up from here

Had a nice catered meal here after a family function. The service was good, and the food was quite tasty. A bit heavy on the sweet sauces, but that might have just been the selected dishes. Seating can get a little tight if youve got a large party, so hopefully you dont mind being a bit close.

This is one of my favorite places for dinner. They also offer lunch specials. The food is delicious and flavorful. Service is fast. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. We tend to get the salt-baked pork chops and the seafood clay pot.

Vey good. We got the hot and sour soup, crispy chicken wings, eggplant and salted fish clay pot and the Peking duck. If u want the Peking duck for a meal, specify that. Everything comes out yummy and piping hot! Yum

We really enjoy going to Rice Pot. The service is great. We love Salt and Pepper fish fillet and Sliced fish and tofu in claypot. And we tried Fish in peppery broth yesterday and it was awesome too.

The portions here are hefty for the price and the staff is really nice. But they use so much oil for cooking. You can probably cook like 3 times as much food with the same amount of oil they use.
