Two months ago I wrote this in Yelp..."The food is excellent, but thats not why Im giving this place 5 stars. Im giving it 5 stars because of the service and, specifically, the owner. Were a group of hard to please hefty eaters, 7 in all, and only one had been here before. He told us to trust the owner in his suggestions. The owner just gave us a price per head and started bringing out the food! It was incredible. Soup, lettuce rolls, lamb chop (perfectly seasoned and cooked), spicy drunken noodles, pineapple fried rice, crispy pork, and much more. All 7 of us went away stuffed and even had leftovers. Darrin, the owner, was there the whole time laughing, making jokes, telling us about the food. Great place, great folks! Definitely highly recommend this place!" Well, tonight a group of 5 of us went back (4 of us had been the previous time). Not only did the owner, Darrin, recognize us and point to the table where we had previously been seated, but he pointed out that one of the guys hadnt been with us the last time. Go here alone or in a group, but tell Darrin to keep the menu and put your trust in his judgement. Without us having to even crack a menu open, we were brought the following; Fried Calamari Fresh Smoked Salmon Wraps Cilantro/Egg Drop Soup w/ Beef Grilled Lamb Chops Fried Chicken Wing Combo Fried Rice Shrimp and Broccoli Green Beans Beef Dish Pork Tenderloin Apple Fritter in Cinnamon and Sugar for dessert Not only is the food great, but it is a pleasure to watch someone who seems to truly love his work. Darrin goes from table to table talking to people as if they were all members of his family or old family friends. He plays with the kids, stops to tell you stories about the origins of the food, etc. And thanks to Maggie and the rest of the staff for another great night out! Well be back soon!

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to get supper in the area, and we decided to give Asian Grill a try. Upon initial appearance, it seemed pretty empty, but we were soon greeted by very friendly staff. We promptly got seated and ordered our meals. Our waitress was really kind and gave us helpful recommendations. The entrees came out within reasonable time and they were pretty good. We really enjoyed the egg drop soup and the dragon wings. As for the main dishes, we ordered the kung pao chicken and the Mandarin combination. These orders tasted a little bland and the kung pao chicken specifically was prepared differently than most other variants. Overall, the food was still enjoyable and was just about the right price based upon its portion and quality. At the end of our meal, the owner of the restaurant came to our table to introduce himself. He is a very friendly and jolly man. He also discussed how the food prepared here may taste differently compared to other restaurants, and if a customer feels unsatisfied with their order, the restaurant would be more than happy to make up for it. It was very kind of him to greet us and we definitely appreciated the compassionate sentiments. Our first experience at Asian Grill was a very positive one and we can see ourselves paying another visit here. I recommend people to give this restaurant a try. I personally would rate this restaurant at least 4.5 stars if I could; however, based on our orders alone, I cannot say that its quite ready for the full 5 stars.

So this was difficult to rate, it was an amazing experience and the food wasnt to bad either. So to keep it simpler for everyone I went ahead and did this: Customer Service: * * * * * - 5 Stars - Amazing attention, half way through the night I felt like I new the owner and the staff for years. Very family and customer orientated. Food: * * * * - 4 Stars - The food is probably some of the best Chinese you will have in Springfield, Burke and Fairfax City area. That says alot, it looses a start because I have had authentic Chinese and this is not. That said for the Chinese that it is it was delicious. Here is wild card, they make amazing lamb chops. Take the risk you wont regret it. Ambiance: * * * - 3 Stars - When you go to this place do not expect an elegant environment. That is not to say that this is a hole in the wall but its not a fine dining establishment and its pretty casual. Overall great experience, my family and I had a birthday there. I promise you they will make it special, just make sure you call ahead of time and let them know.

Location: It’s in a small strip mall with a bunch of other eating locations including Milaons (Italian), Panera, Subway, Boardwalk, and etc. Food: The food here is a 3/5. As an experienced diner, I have had the blessing to try top line cuisine from all around the world. In terms of ranking in those experiences, this is an above average Chinese restaurant. It is miles above Panda Express and other carry outs, but subpar compared to upper end fine dining. However, it settles into the mid-tier cuisine niche well. You can expect to pay about 13-15 per dish. Staff- 5/5. The staff here is one of the best I have ever came across. From offering free soups during cold winter days to giving out free deserts on Valentine’s Day, the service is really next level. Most importantly, they genuinely care about the customer. They will notice if you are feeling sick and prepare something a bit spicier or comment on a new jacket. Frankly, Asian Grill shows that truly great service makes the food taste better and your patrons lifelong customers

We went for dinner fairly early on a weekday so there werent many people in the restaurant. We were greeted warmly by the employees,and...yes, the fish does follow you. Its the neatest thing! The place is very clean and the food was fantastic. We had the General Tsos chicken; it was enough to share (and we did). Large pieces of very tender chicken cooked perfectly. The spring rolls were very fresh and the steamed dumplings were super tasty also! All in all...a great place to eat. We had eaten at PF Changs a few weeks earlier and this was so much better. The price is a bit higher than a regular chinese take-out place but this isnt a quick in-and-out restaurant. The quality is so much better, too. Well definitely be going again!!

I ordered the Mango chicken, hubby ordered General Tsos and our daughter ordered the wings. We also had spring rolls, egg rolls and fried rice. The chicken was so tender, crispy veggies and mangos were perfect. Portions were huge! The service was great and they were all very kind. Must try!

Good food and very friendly staff made our first visit here a pleasant one. The restaurant is in a strip mall and tucked away near the back corner of the lot. The inside is nicely decorated with cool looking Chinese dragons hanging from the ceiling. Our family had a great first experience.

The staff could not have been friendlier. They only offered me vegan options after having seen me order their vegan beef, and gave me free spring rolls. (Vegan, of course.) They should also be commended for their vegan options. And the food was delicious. I cannot recommend them enough.

Very good food with fresh ingredients. I especially liked the service. The owners come out to say hello to people like they would in an upscale restaurant. The prices are alot higher than other Chinese restaurants with less food on your plate. But the quality of food is alot better.
