After just getting a job after a few months of unemployment, my wife and I decided to throw a little money around and go out to eat. We had always enjoyed going to this restaurant in the past. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the food excellent. Upon arriving for the latest, and last, visit the interior was noticeably nicer after having had a remodel. However the "improvements" apparently ended there. Gone is the old crew that kept us coming back. We placed our order without issue and the food arrived quick enough. However, our kung pao had rotten pieces in it that made every bite a walk on the wild side. One of the other improvements seems to have been the replacement of proper cups with what can only be described as small, bulbous sippy cups. Which wouldnt have been an issue if the waiter had bothered to come back to refill our water, which never happened. In fact our waiter never came back to the table at all and I had to go to the bar to get my check which I find totally unacceptable. While I didnt have a view of the bar/sushi area my wife did and afterwards told me of how she watched an African American woman struggling to make sushi. Probably not something to be struggling at considering the potential for food poisoning. Additionally, and although not the restaurants fault, as we were eating our Mongolian minefield of a dish, four drunkards came in to patronize the bar area. Wherein they proceeded to speak obnoxiously loud and curse while there was a father and his two young daughters enjoying (presumably) their meal. I normally dont look out for the human race and give warnings of potential hazards, but in this circumstance that is outweighed by my disgust of this restaurant. Please do not give your business to this establishment.

(2/21/2012) This place has the worst customer service in the world. DO NOT DINE HERE!!! I was told by the server that I can no longer dine there because I did not leave a tip for the server on my credit card. He stated that I did not leave a tip the last time I was there. I can only call my order in and pick up on arrival. Gratuity is voluntary and the server has no clue nor did he provide good service. I was in my wallet at the time looking for cash to leave on the table and he grabbed the receipt on my credit card before I could put the cash on the table. I was so outraged, I kept my cash. No one deserves to be treated this way. Gratuity is voluntary and the employees are paid by the company, not all by the customer. Join me in never returning to this restaurant. They do not deserve to be in business.

Ordered food yesterday. I wish I had time to cook a better food for myself. Its so pathetic and I am not sure how they have 3.7 rating - REALLY... I still have the Pineapple fried rice, drunken noodles and an appetizer almost untouched. On top of it offered $8 generously to the driver but all wasted - $40 could have been spent on something else really. Waste of time waiting for food, waste of money. Worst ever experience. Waste restaurant - probably they should rename it as Oriental WASTEr Restaurant. Google should provide an option of rating it in negative as well for such ppl.

The Chow Mein didnt come with noodles! Imagine ordering speghetti and it only came with sauce and the meatballs! I tried calling them back for a refund, or credit or something, and the lady was extremely rude. She even hung up on me. I would definitely recommend never ordering from this place. It was just absurd how rude the woman on the phone was.

Unfriendly!!!! I wanted to sit down for a meal but I felt very uncomfortable, like I didnt belong there. They lady in the front was just rude to everyone that came in there as we was waiting forever for someone to help us, so we just left and no one care. Not good for family dinner or so. I wish I didnt have to give them even one star!!!!

I decided to bring my family to DC to visit the African American Museum of Natural History and Culture and it was great but what was even greater was our decision to dine at Oriental Bistro!!! The ambiance was awesome, the food was awesome and the customer service was awesome. I look forward to dining there again when I go back to DC!!

**NEW MANAGEMENT** The new owners really cleaned up this place. Newly renovated, clean, beautiful colors and decor. The food and cocktails are really good. I spoke with the chef, hes going to add some new dishes to the menu. I think theyre going to change the name of the restaurant too.

When I ordered for delivery, they said 45 mins but it reached only after 75 mins. Food is bad. Money is wasted. On top of all this - Delivery guy didnt accept $5 tip and with a rough tone asked I drove for 2.5 miles and need more. Never experienced such a worst thing so far.

Got takeout, wow, really disappointing. The eggplant with shrimp was mediocre at best The eggplant was highly breaded with very little sauce. The pad tai was bad, I love pad tai and this was the worst I have ever tasted. I will not be ordering again from this restaurant.

Excellent food every time we order! Best in the area. Try the Mongolian Chicken. Everyone below is complaining about service, If I was the server I would throw that lady out below for not tipping. Tipping is not voluntary, If you dont want to tip, Dont go out.

My family and I absolutely love this place. The food was off the hook. We were down from the Atl checking out the so called african american smithsonian museums in dc and wanted to try out this restaurant as we were on the way back to our hotel. #cometoatl

New management has really taken this place down hill. The inside looks "nice" and all now, but the service is terrible and the food is spotty. This was our go-to place for take out and eating in for several years, and now, we wont be going there ever again.

we love this place. They are great with our kids and the food is solid. Good take out or casual eat in, this is a great local place. I simply cant believe the poster about bugs. I mean seriously? I think they watched too many Strange Brew movies.

Horrible customer service when you dine-in!!! Also, when I ordered sweet and sour chicken to go, they forgot my sweet and sour sauce. hmmm excuse me? How hard is it for a restaurant to provide *acceptable* customer service and accurate order?

I really like this place. Its really refreshing to go to a restaurant where everything on the menu can be made vegetarian. So, if you like meat alternatives, check it out. Veggie General Tsos Chicken is pretty amazing. Thanks.

LOVE this place. Came here a few weeks ago and its my new favorite go-to. $5 happy hours, good drinks, good food. And the staff is really nice--down to earth and always ready to help. Would definitely recommend this spot!
