Cat food.. what ever happened to Bambu?! Happy Hour sushi is your best bet. At first ordered Thai fried rice had stuff in it - hard candy like - salt that cut my throat. Then ordered the drunken noodle that looks like cat food (see picture and judge yourself) . Years ago my husband had to go back to return rice that had raw meet in it, 2 years ago a rat was running on the pipes at the dinning room and fell on the table in front of everyone.. so nope. See you in 2 years to see if you have improved, maybe.

Recently moved from Georgetown area to Chevy Chase. One thing we really miss is delivery from Bambu. Thai dishes are excellent, and sushi is very good as well. Service can be a little spotty - but a small price to pay for the delicious food. This is a little gem of a local restaurant The price to value is 5 stars. Treasure it if its in your hood. We love Bambu! Suchen and Robert (the owners) are awesome - stop by and say hello,

I have been here twice and each time I have to say they have impressed me. The service is excellent, the quality of the food is noticeable. I had the lunch special boxes General Tsos and red curry. As an appetizer we had the edamame it tasted fresh and you could taste the green-ness (possibly not frozen). Bathrooms are clean and so is the rest of the visible restaurant. I will return.

The general tso white meat has good flavor, but the chicken they use is that thin/flimsy processed meat product that they typically use in dishes like cashew chicken. Spring rolls were good however. Given the quality of this dish, the price was unreasonable. If I order from here again will have to try something else b/c it has some pretty good reviews.

Just went to Bambu for the second time; first I ate there, this time I ordered food to go. Both times I had a very positive experience in the restaurant, and the food is delicious. For lunch, the Bento Box is filling and reasonably priced; something hard to find at most sushi spots. Great neighborhood for a stroll, as well!

today my son and his girlfriend went for lunch and his girlfriend asked if it is possible to have a soup without fishoil as she is highly allergic, they said they could and gave her the soup with the fishoil now she is sick and I am hoping we dont have to go to the emergency and by the way staff was incredibly RUDE

Their Bambu signature rolls are just cucumber rolls covered with salmon and avocado? ... not very creative or "signatory", IMHO. Screwed-up order without correction. Oh yes, and too much rice under the fish on their sushi. Overall, slightly better than store-bought.

I have been a regular customer as I live close, but I am so tired of bad service. Tonight was the last straw, as after I went to pick up food, I was ignored forten minutes while passed numerous times as the service fielded a personal call. I will not be returning.

Excellent sushi with avocado and cucumber in it! Great Thai iced tea too and very pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend. Large sushi pieces too for a fair price. The staff here are so nice and always greet us when we come in. Best sushi in town!

Nice neighborhood Asian restaurant. Sushi rolls range from simple to a little too over-the-top. Thai dishes are good with no surprises. Spicy thaifried rice (w/ basil and jalapeños) is good. Larb Gai is a very well done version

By far, Chens Gourmet has better food than Bamboo. Bamboo lacks an identity and Chens General Tsos chicken is by far more delicious. Chens is located almost right next to bamboo.

Bambu has the best sushi in town, always fresh and tasty. Their spicy sauce is to die for so I highly reccomend the spicy crab or spicy tuna. Kabuki roll is excellent as well.

Very bad service and relatively bland food. We ended up having to do our waitresses job because she didnt want to figure out how to split the bill. Very rude.

Great Thai restaurant! We could eat here at any time, and it is definitely a go-to favorite on very cold winter days.
