Not just the worst japanese restaurant but the worst restaurant I have ever been to. 1. too much oily food 2. Excessive vinegar. The rolls were bordering to bitter than sour. 3. No service. Although you dont get your food at your seat, the worst is that you are asked to pay before the food is served. 4. Really horrible attitude of the staff. The expression given to me when I went there with my wife was as good as asking someone to get lost. I ate food there only to respect my hosts who had invited me there. If I had entered this restaurant by myself, I would have left thanks to the expression given to me. That way, at least I would have escaped the crappy food. 5. My order was cold and my wifes order was so hot that it burned her mouth. Someone in the review has said, avoid like a plague. I would say, it is worst than that.

Tip: Avoid like the plague. Sushi was of poor quality and value. The rolls are tiny, bland, and the rice reeks of excessive vinegar. My roommate discovered a piece of hard material, possibly ceramic, as she bit in to a piece of her California roll. My Chirashi dish included the same sour rice below a medley of sub par sushi slices. The restaurant itself was ho-hum, but it doesnt matter. Ive been surprised by unassuming locations before, but not this place. Called to express my discontent with their quality and the fact that foreign objects make it in to their food. The woman on the phone did not offer anything for our underwhelming experience, not even an apology.

AKA Sushido. Consistently fresh fish. Run by real Japanese people, this is the best place to get authentic sushi and kitchen foods. If youre looking for a real, japanese curry - the pork cutlet curry is awesome! Sushi is fantastic; portions are modest but the quality is fantastic. Cant complain about the prices either. The bus your own tables and mom & pop shop atmosphere is very relaxed. The shop also carries a small amount of grocery items also; you can get natto, dried squid, rice crackers, pocky, furikake, ramune, motchi, etc.

We will never go back. It was a terrible experience. I ordered the giant spider roll and it was not as I expected it to be - the menu said it came with smelt roe and it didnt. I took it back to the counter and she assured me there was smelt roe in there. There wasnt. I asked to send it back and get something else. They said no. The sea weed salad I ordered was too salt to even eat. Although my husbands order wasn’t bad, it certainly wasn’t good either. the one down town burlington is good, but this one is bad.

My number one spot for sushi. I love that they have Japanese curry. I havent seen that in any other Japanese restaurant in the state. (Nor other states Ive seen.) Their spider roll is the best Ive had. They make this sauce out of the soft shelled crab and its sweet and tangy with a crispiness that you look for in soft shelled crab. The sushi Id very reasonable in price too, so we can get a lot of sushi for fairly cheap. Dont pass up this little spot, they are worth every dollar.

This place is truly authentic. Not the American dream glitce and glam expected. I lived in Japan so my standards are high. And this establishment meets it as I found in the side streets of Kin and Iwakuni. True Japanese cuisine, fresh, tasty and the ambiance brought me back. To most it may look bland, through together. But thats just the appeal. Mama sahn runs a mean kitchen. Try it dont judge until after you eat. Enjoy the tv too its all I watched for over a year aside from AFN lol.

Having travelled to Japan, I can safely say that this place is some of the best. If not THE best, sushi in Vermont. Dont let the quaint decor fool you! The family that runs and owns Sushido is about their business! Excellent sushi and excellent prices, this is a must - stop for anyone looking for authentic japanese fair!

This little mom-an-pop sushi shop rocks. They pay attention to the quality of the rice and the temperature of the fish like few sushi places do. Not a fine dining sushi atmosphere, but whats on the plate is as good as anything youll find. We always go here before seeing a movie at the Majestic 10.

Counter service sushi restaurant in a strip mall.. counter intuitively it actually works well and the food is pretty good. Recommend the sashimi appetizer, curry cutlet, octopus salad, any of their maki.. just about the whole menu is great.

Simple, authentic Japanese restaurant. The freshest sushi in chittenden county. Portions are a bit small. The seating area is simple. This is my favorite restaurant in Williston and one of my top 5 in the area. Highly recommended!
