Do you believe another reviewer said very sports like what does that even mean for a bar I got say its pretty unimaginative to come up with a name of a bar you send over a table before you open up your business and you go what do you think I dont know what do you think I dont want to do a sports bar road to calling about we call it sports bar like naming restaurant restaurant I dont know but it is a Jumping Pl., Thursday night is college night right down the road from Eastern looking for some chicks this is the place to go

Probably the best sports bar in Connecticut. If youre anywhere in Eastern CT, stop in for a drink. They have a very traditional menu of apps, wings and sandwiches. The difference however is everything is prepared with quality and a high attention to detail. I guarantee it will become your new favorite bar. Everythings done proper. Dont be surprised if you see Anthony Bourdain throwing back Patron shots over a game of pool in a throwback Huskies jersey. Word has spread. This place is the bomb. Go UConn!

This has been the hangout for my friends and me for a long time now. Its popular with college kids, its a good place for locals, and it has plenty of room and space for everyone. With new pool tables and a new menu, this small-town pub blurs the line between sports bar and club house. Its also the largest of the bars within quick and easy driving distance from UConn and ECSU.

My girlfriend and I heard about this place so we stopped by. It was fairly dead that day, but we had the strange opportunity to listen to one of the customers and bartender justify the actions of the local kkk group here in Connecticut. I wasnt aware that there was one until now. The beer was ok. We will not be coming back.

Best burger in the area and the wings are good too. New recent updates, new bigger kitchen, and a remodeled womens bathroom plus some new paint have spruced up the place, but hey theyve been here for over 20 years now.. so they must be doing something right. Lots of different beers on tap, and well crafted cocktails too.

Its a bar. Not a specialty brew pub. Lots of big screen TVs, pool table, etc. Happy hour and some sponsored special event fundraisers. If you prefer upscale- not the place. If youre looking to hang out with friends and watch the game- The Sports Bar would be a good choice.
