A simple phone call from the owner would have sufficed instead of a long drawn out response to my review. If there was confusion on how to decorate the colors of pixie dust on the cupcakes especially if you had a temp take the order who wouldnt know really what she was doing, as you state in your response, then I dont understand why a phone call to me wasnt made to easily answer/clarify any confusion and provide the picture which was declined by your temp ("its perfectly clear as to what you want, easy enough" she said). I was told emmeline was the decorator by your staff. Normally, your company does a great job executing beautiful cakes and cupcakes which is why I called a month later to just find out what happened. I didnt want anything further to be done, you did what you could which was refund the order, I just wanted an understanding as to what took place. But that left me with a disappointed 5 yr old girl on her birthday so I kind of wanted an explanation as to what the heck happened. so when my call was returned, I was stunned by how aggressive Emmeline was and that she informed me that I didnt make myself clear as to what I wanted. Im pretty sure, "obnoxiously sparkly rainbow pixy dust covered cupcakes in different colors of the rainbow, doesnt matter how many of each color, just a variety of colors, some red, some blue, etc." I even said, "I dont care if theyre awful tasting as long as theyre over the top sparkly, colorful and look like a fairy threw up pixy dust all over them." The girl even laughed when I said that. Im not sure how much clearer I could have been. White cupcakes with 15 sprinkles of rainbow sugar on top doesnt come close to what I described just now as well as on the phone when placing my order. I didnt want nonedible products put on 5 year old girl cupcakes which is whats sold in decorating supply stores. Put sugar in the oven with food coloring for 15 minutes and you would have had your product. And instead of a phone call from the owner, or I guess-the actual decorator (why did emmeline even call me??? If she had nothing to do with it), or a call when there was confusion when decorating them, we have my review, a drawn out response from the owner and now my rebuttal to her response. Ugh, Im over it. Theyre just cupcakes And my review is based on my experience. Original review: Absolutely a disappointing experience. I ordered cupcakes to look like pixie dust with an array of the colors of the rainbow and very glittery and sparkly. What I got was white frosting with about 15 sprinkles of rainbow sprinkles. My daughter could have done a better job. I had to run to the store to whip something up to make them look better. But they couldnt be salvaged. They truly were awful. I offered to send a picture when I placed my order, but was told "No" they understood what I was requesting and it would be easy. When I spoke to Emmeline about my disappointment, she was very aggressive and rude. I absolutely would never recommend Emmeline to do any cake/cupcake decorating there. Maybe another decorator there, or another company all together.

Ive loved Cakes de Fleur cakes for a long time, and I was so excited to get to plan a wedding cake with them. Everything about the consultation and the final product totally exceeded my high expectations! It was so much fun to taste flavors and brainstorm with the owner, and the cake was really amazing in the detail and bringing our wild ideas to life. My favorite cake flavors are the carrot and lemon but I will not ever turn down any of their flavors. Its always fun giving one of their cakes as a gift or taking one to share with a group because people nearly always rave and become fans if Cakes de Fleur too.

I have had great experiences with this company in the past even though they have always been a little pricey. This time because of how poorly I felt I was treated I looked into another bakery since they were unable to do my cake and also wanted a "rush fee" now even though there was a delay in response from them. Granite bakery had great customer service and great prices, only a days notice with no rush fee! We will see how the cake tastes in comparison when I pick up tomorrow night and eat on Sunday. Way better hours also, but most importantly great service!

We had Cakes de Fleur made a 2-tier cake and 36 Soot Sprites cake pops for our 5 years old daughters Totoro birthday party. The customer service was excellent and the staff took my order was really listening to what I wanted. I was very nervous before I saw the final products as I only showed them pictures of my ideas. But oh my goodness! The cake and the cake pops turned out beyond my imagination. Everyone at the party was BLOWN AWAY with the cake decoration and the taste. The cake and the cake pops were super delicious and moist. Thank you!

Unbelievably delicious! Cakes de Fleur made the cake for my wedding 3 weeks ago. My husband decided on the lemon cake and I like the chocolate cake. We alternated tiers and ordered some sheet cakes for the additional guests. I had requested a new combination based on the standard chocolate cake using a dark chocolate ganache for the middle. Cakes de Fleur rose and surpassed the challenge! Guests raved about this cake - in fact, people are still talking about it! It was just to-die-for!

I work for Have Party Will Travel. One of the larger catering companies in Utah. We refer all of our brides to Cakes De Fleur. They have always been dependable and our brides are always happy with the service and the cakes that they receive from them. I have been in the catering industry for 14 years. I have cut and tried ALOT of cake during my career. Cakes De Fleur cakes are the best tasting cakes that I have had. I wouldnt use anyone else.

I had cakes de fleur make my wedding cake, because I was crazy about their small cakes from The Store. Since then, I have told several brides to use them and everyone has been more than pleased!! She did a gorgeous job w/ decorating and the best part about it is- THE CAKE WAS WONDERFUL!! Everyone raved and her prices are great. They are easy to work with and I will continue to use them for any future events.

Love this place! They have created wonderful memories for my family. They made a beautiful gender reveal cake for us (its a boy!) and just this past weekend they made a bus cake for my sons birthday. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Lauralee, who gave me a tour of her bakery. SPOTLESS. She is the most kind and gracious woman. She sent me home with a carrot cake and a lemon cupcake, my favorite. Remember when goodies tasted as good as they looked? Bingo! What a talented and passionate enterprise she has for her product. No need to go any further.
