I have always supported locally owned small business owners, but I hate to give them a bad evolution here. My wife and I have bought bread, rolls, cookies, and some pastries off and on for a couple of years. In this time period their consistency and quality of their baked item has been truly horrible! In fact a couple of Thanksgivings ago we ordered dinner rolls which we picked up the day before our dinner. We had the family over for dinner and when we started to serve the rolls they were as hard as a rocks. We even tried to heat them in the oven without success. We bought several dozen. We called Kathy the owner and explained what had happened and she was so very rude. She questioned my wife like she was a criminal! Needless to say we were very taken back with regards to her concern about the quality of their products!! I really do wished that was the only thing that occurred to us while shopping their bakery. On more then occasion we purchased their Honey Whole Wheat bread without fell it was very dry and stiff almost unbearable. Their chocolate chip cookies are always that way along with most of their pastries. We also find the place not to be very clean. The floors always look like someone used a dirty mop. Just behind the front counter there is a bread rack they display their bread on. Take a close look at how dirty this rack is with old dried up pastry topping rubbed on it with dirt finger marks. We could mention a lot more, but I think I will leave it at that! We love home baked items but we find that shopping there is way to much trouble. Yes, the husband and wife that are the owners arent very cordial at all. In fact, they like to argue if you tell them that their bread was dry and stiff and hard to eat! They are absolutely outrageous angry people with poor business sense than to treat any of their customers in this manner! No we are not happy with this bakery!! Believe us there are much better bakeries that offer home style bakery goods !! In the very beginning of the reviews it appears to me that the owner have stated that I am now happy with their bake goods!! I did not write that statement!!

The wild berry bread was amazing. However the reason I am giving 2 stars is the gentleman at the front counter boxed up some cinnamon rolls which were clearly for a office meeting, licked his finger. Yes licked his finger with a smack sound. The young lady helping me was staring at me as if I was ignoring her. No I am busy looking at your nasty co worker lick his finger. She at least put some gloves on to serve me. The gentleman in the fron did not wash his hands then proceeded to go back to boxing food! I ended up getting a cinnamon roll that was already out that I pray he hadnt touched. It wasnt done all the way! Their prices are two high to be getting a nasty gummy cinnamon.. I wont be back to the Layton great harvest. But overall I have had it in other cities and it was great, is why I am giving 2 stars..

Theres no place like Great Harvest. The minute you walk in the door youre hit with the fantastic smell of freshly baked bread. A few seconds later youre greeted with a friendly hello and a fresh slice of bread! The Hi-Five Fiber is my absolute favorite. I love crunchy bread, and it is the best of all crunchy breads that Ive ever had. PBJs on Hi-Five Fiber. Do it. Love it. You wont regret it. Dont pass this place up for lunch or breakfast (I drool thinking about their breakfast sandwiches). And if you have a gluten free friend in your midst dont fret- they have salads. Fantastic beautiful salads. As for their lunch sandwiches I can never decide if the Chicken Salad sandwich is my favorite or the RB Panini is my favorite. Theyre all fantastic- but those two stand out in my mind.

Every time I go into this Great Harvest location, Im greeted with a smile, offered an enormous slice of free bread to sample, and walk away with delicious, healthy, fresh baked goods. Everyone in my family loves this place for different reasons and they have something for everyone. I love the Honey Whole wheat, my wife loves the Cinnamon Burst (try making french toast with it!), and the kids LOVE their Pumpkin Chocolate Chip bread. The employees always seem to be having a great time while working, and that positivity and energy is infectious. I always leave with a bigger smile on my face than I came in with.

I was first there in April 2017. I had a muffin, some white bread, and Dakota Wheat bread. Well worth the price, this is gourmet bread. Only thing is the white bread had a little too much sodium according to the label. I could kind if taste it. For this reason, I am hesitant to frequently shop there. Also, I had rolls later, and every batch I bought was slightly under baked and a tad doughy.

Love this store! The food is amazing, always fresh and delicious! The atmosphere of this location is by far my favorite! Its big and homey, just the way a bakery should be! Plus the people make you feel like family, always helpful and kind and smiling! Seems like it would be a great place to work too!

RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!! Normally its a pleasure going into Great Harvest but today was not the same, Girl at the counter was incredibly rude and apparently put out by my presence, I guess after 3 pm being friendly is not part of the job description.

Always love going to Great Harvest. Their apple crumble bread is too die for. They always have a great vibe going on in the store and the employees are always so friendly. We love a good slice of bread a soup at lunch time too.

Good food but pretty expensive and service was poor. Rude and impatient lady did not want to answer questions I had about their confusing menu. I will find somewhere else to eat and buy baked goods in the future.
