Seriously, people who rated this place as more than 2 stars have no idea... Objectively, this place is obviously under staffed. Our server was nice and polite enough but they did not give us any water until we asked at the end of the meal. We asked for extra napkins before we ate, she totally just forgot about it. The food: we got served soup that tastes like it came from a can and also it was cold enough to drink down, tasted very much like progresso itallian wedding. We got salad that doesnt have any claim to freshness, seriously, it seemed to have already spent days to weeks in the fridge, also, i think they bought the lettuce pre-chopped. The main course was lasagna and chicken marinara, supposedly called "the premiere". It was bad, i think their sauces and ingredients all came from bottles and cans non of it was cooked from scratch. I was surprised at how bad it came in one plate. The two opposing sauces were mixing with each other. Awful presentation. Very doubtful if they have a person back there who has any idea at all. They are not adding value by taking cheap shortcuts. In the end, the design of the place seemed to want to say that this was a luxury place, lots of lighting, hardwood floors and booths and gigantic furniture. In the end it was bad. The food was cheap, about $10- $18 dollars per person. Not worth it. Oh yea, they also gave away free ice cream at the end of the meal, obviously store bought. This place needs to be destroyed by better competition.

We ordered to go. We ordered the hearty portion for the $2.99 up charge but they called back and said they didnt offer a hearty portion for the meals we ordered. They said they would add additional for $7 but we declined. When we arrived to pick up the food they informed us that only one of the desserts we ordered was available. They went through the bag and we saw the tiny portions so we asked why they were so small. They explained that if we would have chosen to dine in then we would have gotten all you can eat bread and salad and drinks. So in other words they fill you up on bread and salad so you dont notice the small portions. Then the bill was $65. The fettuccine barely had sauce or chicken on it. The bread came with butter and not the garlic butter we ordered. The food was fair but I could have gotten Marie Calendars in the grocery store for less money and shorter travel time. The first and last time we will be going there. The restaraunt was very pretty.

This review is coming so ridiculously late! My smokin naughty body of a husband and I got married last August (08/2013) and had our wedding luncheon at Spaghetti Factory. The staff was PHENOMENAL! They went above and beyond to make sure everyone was welcome and taken care of, and that everything ran smoothly. One of the waitresses (a super cute little blonde gal - and it kills me now that I cant remember her name) added a very special touch by sending a specially marked Diet Coke to each table to be sure that wherever I went as I was mixing with guests and family, I had something to drink. So sweet! Of the 200,000+ words in the English language Im not sure I could find the right combination to properly say thank you for making our special day that much more awesome.

What a disappointment! I used to love the place in Tacoma, Washington where I used to live. The facility in Salt Lake City was beautiful, but the salad was dry and looked old, the clam sauce was terrible (looking like it was made with skim milk] and almost flavorless. The clam sauce used to be favorite, but I couldnt recommend it to anyone now. And the staff: when I was asked and told what I thought if the food, all they did was apologize for it. The waitress said shes had a lot of propel complain about it. The manager handed me a comment card and encouraged me to tell corporate my comments. But neither offered me a free dessert, to change my order, or anything. I wonder how they stay open!

I went here for my birthday last night and the service was okay, people were friendly, the food was horrible. I feel like I wasted money going here. We had to squeeze 4 people into the booth we sat at. It was like an oversized 2 person booth that wasnt quite big enough to comfortably fit 4 people. The proportions are very small and it didnt taste that great. It felt like I was going to a more expensive version of Fazolis (fast food italian restaurant). I should have taken my money elsewhere like Olive Garden because at Olive Garden you get twice the amount of food and 10 times the flavor.

The Old Spaghetti Factory is a very nice restaurant with a classy, fun interior and a multi-level layout that feels like a very high-end restaurant. The staff is typically friendly and accommodating. The food is good and all meals come with bread, soup or salad, and a scoop of ice cream, but dont expect portions like other high-end Italian restaurants that are typically family-style and leave with you with lots of leftovers. However they do have a decent kids menu, which family-style Italian restaurants often do not. With my family of four we spent just over $50 for dinner.

The food was okay. The room was uncomfortably cold (enough to leave coats on throughout the meal) & took multiple requests before anything was done...still didnt warm up very quickly. Waitstaff was thoughtless. Handed plates & teapots out in a way that forced the diner to grab the hot dish before it crashed to the table. My moms hand was red over the teapot. Also ...served from the end of the table & reached across, rather than coming around & serving directly. Forgot things multiple times. Whole thing was just incredibly uncomfortable.

The service at OSF has taken a significant dive. This was our go-to place for large gatherings for about 15 years straight, but the last time we were there, even the host was rude to our group--which is uncommon, because hosts are usually paid specifically to be friendly. The food doesnt disappoint, and the prices are reasonable (which is why we used to use this restaurant for our large gatherings) but if Im going to pay any establishment for food, I expect to be treated as a guest, not like a nuisance.

I love the Old Spaghetti Factory at Trolley Square. The place isnt real fancy, but then again, I wouldnt go eat pasta if I wanted fancy. It is a nice family restaurant and also a nice inexpensive date-night place. It can get very busy though if you get there at the wrong time. Best is to call ahead to ask how long the wait is. I saw the post from Sean, about the booth space and the size of the portion. I am an average guy, 185lbs, 510" with a good appetite and never felt anything was too small.

I havent eaten here for almost 20 years and we thought wed give it a try for a family birthday dinner. I dont think well eat there again. The quality of the food was very poor. A lot if it tasted frozen/ pre packaged. None of us in the party cared for the entree we ordered. The bread was good. The waitress was awesome. They did take some money off the check for the fettuccine alfredo (it tasted horrible). Avoid this place. There are several awesome Italian restaurants in the atea.
