Recently we attempted to call in at a to go order (which is much easier for our large family then placing the order in person) we attempted to call the WVC Valley fair location multiple times for almost an hour with them never once picking up their phone. I went into their location and asked them if the phone was broken only to be told by the manager they were super busy and dont answer when it is busy. I was the only person in line the entire place was not even 75% full of people, but went ahead and placed my order. Only to be asked by multiple people at one time what I wanted to order for sandwiches, soups and all while trying to order my salad. I am one person and cant answer 3 people at the same time. To which later when I arrived home my sandwich orders were completely wrong. I got to the register to pay and the phone was ringing I watched as two employees stopped chatting look back at the phone and return to their conversation. While others were scrambling to put together my large order. I mentioned to the cashier oh I get it you guys are too busy to answer the phone and that is why I was ignored. He stated yea we have been busy so we dont answer the phones then. I was one that actually came in after my failed attempt at your lack to answer the phone. I should have never came in at all. I even attempted to call the other WVC location and asked if they knew why you guys were not answering the phone (like a power outage or had to close, etc) she had no clue and offered me to drive out to their location which I was going to do but instead decided to first stop at your location to see if you were open and you were. This was really sad because recently your service has been so good and we frequent your location at least twice a month and spend between $50 - 60 each visit. I am not sure we will be returning to your location at this time, which is close and convenient but to us service tops all and that is why we will not be returning. This morning I called and spoke with a manage explaining what happened asking for a email and was informed that you guys are getting a new phone system and the employees have been instructed not to answer the calls, once the new phone system is up and running you will not be accepting to go orders unless they were placed before 5pm. This is really sad this has been how we have always frequented your store and you will lose a lot of business by doing away and limiting the service that was great for people like me. Sad that your managers will not be able to listen or make a voice for customers who liked services you had before they were just taken away.

It doesnt take a college degree to put together an over-priced salad. Not only do you have too many people behind the counter that undoubtedly started working there 5 seconds ago (yeah, I could tell by the user manual in front of her while she stared blankly at my half made salad), but watching my meal get passed from person to person and having to restate myself over and over was utterly annoying. Warning to people who love variety!! Dont ask for extras! I asked for some blue cheeze -she dashed a tiny bit on top; I asked for grapes - she dashed three tiny grape halves on top; I asked for Cucumbers -she piles on a few Itty bitty green things that may have resembled Cucumbers if they were to grow up. If I wanted to pay 69 cents for a grape and a half I would have flew to California and bought an over-priced salad in a fancy restaurant who would most likely have better service skills. In the end I was still ready to eat my poorly made overly priced salad. But when I got home the lettuce was bad and I just couldnt stomach it. Oh, and the soup was good. Ill still eat the soup.

Most of the food is okay, but its expensive for what it is. Zupas is a high overhead place. Dont order the extra stuff for a soup. Youll literally get a teaspoon of extra cheese for $0.70 or 4 croutons. They nickel and dime people to death. I asked for more than a teaspoon of cheese and the girl acted like I wanted to own the building. It was ridiculous. Its mostly run by squeaky cheerleader teenagers who only know two words, awesome and perfect which they say constantly with great enthusiasm. Someone needs to explain to them that with a such a limited vocabulary a better job isnt likely to be on the horizon. The food isnt much better than average at an above average price, but its okay for a change once in-a-while. Bring your own cheese or croutons and you wont feel too ripped off. If you have a couple of pom-poms with you, then you can experience perfect and awesome too!

LOVE the new food, hate the new packaging. I had not been to Zupas for awhile and I was highly disappointed tonight with their new packaging. I got the salad and soup combo but instead of putting them into two containers they now only use one. Not only did I feel like I got less food for the same amount of money, but my wrappers that hold the strawberry and bread were soggy. I tried to put dressing on my salad and shake it up so it was well mixed but because there is now three dividers in the carton, it left all the little pieces of nuts and cheese all over the place and I was not able to get them out of the cracks of the container. This may all sound petty and I appreciate that you are trying to save waste but I dont think this is the answer.

We used to frequent Zupas @ Valley Fair Mall - usually for lunch. Tonight we went for dinner and the food was awful! I had the wild mushroom bisque which was not even warm! my sandwich was the avo turkey which was cold by the time I got it!! I wanted a hot dinner but got a cold one instead! they have too many ppl dishing out the food but the cashier cant keep up! When I got a to-go box, the cashier asked if everything was ok - I told her that it wasnt and explained why - she answered with have a nice night! whether she didnt want to deal with the complaint or she didnt understand!! Would not go back for dinner again!

Never disappointed here, except for my last visit. The guys on the counter were too friendly to the point where it felt extremely fake and it was uncomfortable. When I received my food, I noticed a hair in it and they briskly got me a new one and said they would give me my brownie free. Which I was charged for. When I looked, only 3 of the staff had proper hair restraints. And one of them had a loose french braid without a hat on with hair flying everywhere. My normally yummy salad tasted very stale and it looked and tasted like none of my produce was ripe. Hope this was just an off night.
