Between the Teas, the baked items and the brunch menu it makes it hard to decide what to get. Its incredible to see the following this place has and its deserved, I dont believe you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Being a tea drinker I hover between the Chai Late and The London fog. The London fog is one of the better tea drinks I have had in a long time, Earl Grey, lavender, vanilla syrup, lavender bitters and the steamed milk, then mix in the love and you have an amazing drink. I really like the porridge it is made with quality ingredients and has the perfect mix of cream and hearty with the rolled oats. The cranberry and pumpkin oats make it all come together. If you are in a rush and you do not have time to sit down with a nice bowl you can opt for a muffin which was just the right size and baked to perfection not too moist or too dry.

Im in love with this place on all levels. I work across the street and try to make weekly visits, mostly for lunch. First, the decor and atmosphere couldnt be cuter or more inviting. I wish I could have their designer come to my home. Love that they have an array of magazines to read while I eat my lunch. Lunch prices are fantastic compared to some of the other near-by delis (which I would also recommend). Only a few items on the menu each day but theyve been perfected and everything Ive tried I loved. My favorite is the chicken curry sandwich. Soups are good too. Food presentation is as well designed as the decor. I feel like Im in a high-end restaurant when my food is brought out. Highly recommend this place. One warning. Last I checked, they dont have free wifi, which I think is kind of crazy for a coffee shop. Go for the food instead.

I used the Rose for my wedding venue, and I loved it! The space is so cute and really didnt require much decoration. The rooftop is also perfect for photos! The owner, Erica, was amazing with recommendations and helping me plan and visualize everything. Her laid back attitude helped remind me to chill out during the whole planning process. The Roses pastry chef also made my wedding cake, which was delicious, but I dont think it was the correct size (which looked a little odd but didnt much bother me. I just kind of wondered about it because we had so much left over). It was an evening wedding in early July, and the venue was very warm (warmer than outside), which was a surprise because the place does have air conditioning. Anyway, overall very positive experience with The Rose Establishment, and I would definitely recommend it as an event venue!

This is one of my favorite places to stop in for lunch when I am on the west side of downtown. The coffee here is the biggest draw as it is some of the best around, however the sandwiches and pastries are always excellent as well. I especially enjoy the cranberry chicken salad sandwich. For coffee, Im usually a simple straight black coffee person, and the coffee they serve here is top quality. On the rare occasion that I do go for a more involved drink, I have never been disappointed. The atmosphere of Rose is one of the best things about it. It is meant for good conversation, relaxing with a newspaper, and stepping away from the hustle and bustle of life outside. I always feel peaceful and comfortable when I dine here. Oh and the toast is also fantastic.

Ok so What about the conversation? The Rose has provided us SLCrs with an open inviting organic feeling space, perfect to rouse creativity and inspiration and CONVERSATION. Uncluttered, thoughtful and did I say airy and open. The perfect temperature feels comfy like A combination between your favorite grandma’s farm table and your best friends kitchen without any clutter. I love how I feel when I am in here not to mention great coffee and out of this world baked goods. Real Scones baby. My sense after talking to the proprietress was that rather than bring your computer and hole up in a corner, why not bring a friend and have a life changing conversation. I can’t wait to see what they do next. Ill be back!!

Out of all the shops in the SLC coffee scene, this is easily my favorite one to go to. The knowledgable staff cares about every drink that they make (or at least they seem like they do). Theyre always trying new concoctions, and have an incredible selection of single-origin offerings and teas. My favorite part about this place is the kindness of the staff. While its easy to tell they understand everything they sell, they are never pretentious, and always friendly. This place is such a joy to go to, I would highly recommend going. Their passion for food, coffee, and tea is easily seen and shown.

The mocha was excellent; not overly sweet like other places. Its a bright, airy establishment, great for conversation and people watching. The music playing was not too loud, just enough to to match the volume of chatter. The only reason why I docked this place 2 stars is their lack of wifi. Yes, its is THAT important to me and I find it unacceptable in this day and age for a coffee shop to not have it. I came here on a Saturday afternoon to work and have coffee. Unfortunately the latter is all I was able to accomplish here.

Amazing set up- beautiful vintage/laid back feel, lots of natural light & space inside and a great deck outside. Very HIPSTER. I felt out of place for not wearing plaid. The curry chicken sandwich was great tho a little pricy, the black rose tea latte was delicious. Service was okaayy.. male workers not very friendly even when I tried to ask about the place.. I didnt feel very welcomed.. maybe if I had my yellow skinny jeans on? Regardless of unfriendly workers, the decor alone is worth it! Very chill.

Unique food , environment and coffee. Register and barista service is not unique and memorably snobby. For sure you will want to know that the largest coffee you can order to go is a 12 oz cup. Yeah!!! But same price as a large coffee with a competitor. They said its because their coffee is so quality that is doesnt need more quantity. Well, that should be my decision. And Im pretty sure I am not the first person to want to drink 24 or 30 oz cup of coffee, no matter how quality it is.

Great place to grab coffee and breakfast! Atmosphere is nice and relaxing for a coffee place, plenty of space between tables so you dont feel like you are in a friggin sardine can (Starbucks). The simple toast with almond butter and jam is by far the best! Only time I hate going there is when theres an event downtown and all of the suburbanites come crowding in, upset that they cant order an 800 calorie super size iced caramel machiatto with a half dozen vanilla scones.

I love how small and cute it is, the patio area is great and the interior is quite roomy. However, I had ordered a dirty chai with vanilla and soy, to which I found out that they do not serve soy and only had cashew milk...needless to say, my chai was not milky and sweet nor was it vanilla-y. Did not taste anything like what I wanted. Disappointed for sure. What coffee shop doesnt have soy?? So weird. Otherwise, its a cute establishment. But I probably wont return.
