This is by far the worst Cafe Rio Ive visited! And I have visited a lot (probably at least 10 plus locations). They were out of all meats except chicken and the chicken wasnt cooked well! Everyone in my family made a comment about how the food didnt taste right. The person taking orders went to a warming storage to get more chicken and I saw tons of trays of meat in there. Shouldnt they be making it fresh like in other locations? It seemed like they had made a bunch the day before and were trying to get rid of it so they put signs up saying they only had chicken. Very weird! I went to get my favorite hot sauce and they had none out. I finally asked for a bottle and the lady went to get one. Thank goodness I got a new one since they really had no sauce available. Most of the bottles were empty that were out. I was able eat the flavorless chicken by dowsing it in Chulula sauce. Love that sauce! The place was very dirty!! We sat by the door on the west side and there was water or soda all over the floor. I discovered later that this was the door they exit to dump the trash. The dirty water seemed to be seeping out of this area. Gross! The bathrooms were so, so disgusting! No toilet paper in the dispenser and 2 rolls on the floor. It smelled like someone urinated all over the floor. The guy before me said something to an employee as he came out of the bathroom and she just seemed to ignore him. She shrugged her shoulders like thats not my job to clean the bathroom. It was very bad! They need better management at this location! I will never go to this one again!

As most people have said, the service level here just isnt very good. Most of the older people youre ordering from can barely speak english. It takes often takes repeating something 5 or 6 times for them to get it right if they do indeed get it right. Then the product and the amount you get is horribly inconsistent as well. Some days Ill get a lot of cheese on my burrito - great. But on another day they may put just a tiny pinch of cheese on it, and when I ask for more cheese they charge me a whole dollar for what should have been a normal amount in the first place! Theyre always looking for every little substitution or request to charge an extra fee on top of the already high cafe rio prices. The lines can also be ridiculously slow, or theyll forget my order sitting in the oven for minutes at a time and forget about it, doing the orders of people behind me first. There have also been times when Ive been standing in line and they let the phones just ring 15-20 times without anyone bothering to pick up the phone. So good luck trying to order anything that way. They just really seem to not know whats going on here a lot. That and nobody seems happy or friendly and they must all hate their jobs.

MOLD!!!! If I could give a 0 I would. Absolutely disgusted by this place. Ive had poor experiences in the past with other chains and should have known better. They first off started tossing stuff in the bowl before asking, then rolled it up before I was finished ordering. I know speed is important but not when you toss quality aside. Then, to add to the problem, I saw mold on the tortilla shell before she wrapped it. When I asked to check it before I payed for it I was "guaranteed" there was no mold. Sorry, but I know it when I see it, as I have worked in the restaurant world long enough. So I left, no food in hand, no money spent. Ridiculous. If a customer wants to verify there is no mold on the burrito theyre about to pay for, let them. So disgusted, yet again! Dont eat here, and if you do, check for MOLD!!!!!

Came in with my girlfriend and her younger brother. I dont know about everyones relationships, but in mine, we share our income and sometimes alternate who pays for dinner. When at the register, we decided she was going to pay which was fine, but to the employee at the register, that was not suitable. He didnt take our card and paid for our meal, all while scolding me about how a girl should never have to pay for her own meal. Thank you but no thank you for the free meal. If we werent so hungry from a long day I would have just thrown the meal in the trash and left. I shouldnt have to explain how we handle our financial decisions to some young kid. Sorry Cafe Rio Park City, better train your employees...

I am a Cafe Rio enthusiast. I have had many wonderful experiences with Cafe Rio. Today I called in an order to the Park City. I arrived 10 minutes after the given pick up time so I expected that it would be a quick in and out as my food was surely ready. I stood in line for several minutes behind four other customers. I could see on the counter 4 separate orders ready to go, yet apparently the first person in line was waiting for their order to finish cooking. Instead of the logical ringing everyone else up and giving them the food that was ready, the cashier lackadaisically stood there waiting with the first customer. I left without my food after waiting in line for 5-10 minutes with no progress.

TERRIBLE!! My wife placed the order online, when we went to pick it up they didnt see the order? So they said they would need to make it. No problem, then they were out of the chicken we had ordered..? So they said they would make some more, I sat down to wait 10 minutes later they came out with the order and I left (without checking first) got home and they had just filled the container with lettuce one small peice of chicken (looked like it was picked up from the floor) and a scoop of guacamole nothing else in there!! They went out of their way to do a piss poor job!! Tryed to call them and they wouldnt answer the phone. Love Cafe Rio! This location sucks! Take your money somewhere else!!

The food is generally pretty good. The service has a lot to be desired! I think its really rude and unprofessional to advertise you are open until 10pm, YET be halfway thru closing by 9:10pm and then treat people who come in at that time like theyre putting you out??? I have been there by 9:10pm 3 times over the last few months, and all 3 times Ive been told that they are "out" of a certain ingredient and the specialty drinks are all taken apart to be cleaned. Dont advertise you are open until 10pm, if youre NOT! Its rude and a waste of peoples time to drive there only to be treated like youre doing the customer a favor!! POOR SERVICE!

I echo Laurens sentiments. The staff is abnormally slow. 11 employees behind the counter managed to serve about 10 people in 30 minutes. In Orem or Provo Ive seen lines twice as long take half as much time. They only use one register here. I tried calling ahead once but they never answered the phone. The reason it gets one star is that I cant tell you if the food is good after 30 minutes and being told they were starting to run out of everything we decided to leave. Its not even the dinner rush yet. This would be slow for anywhere let alone a Cafe Rio. I will never be back at this location.
