We drove by around town and saw this place. My husband decided to try this place. It was 5:30 pm in 90 deg summer. I told him, "who would want to eat ramen in this hot weather??". We went in and got seated right away. Within few minutes the place is packed and people were waiting. I was wrong, these people eat ramen in 90 deg and this better be good. I ordered a Tonkatsu Ramen and my husband ordered a Shoyu Ramen. We also ordered Karaage for our daughter. Tonkatsus broth is so flavorful and has creamy flavor. The Shoyu Ramen (chicken broth) was great too, but I personally love Tonkatsu more. The Karaage tastes great. Ive been to ramen place and their Karaage usually meh but their Karaage has certain flavor that you know it is not a regular breaded fried chicken that you can find everywhere. The noodles also freshly made I believe or at least it tastes really fresh. Even if you live out of Orem and are looking for Ramen, this place is worth to drive to. One bad thing about it is, it definitely not a lowcarb friendly place. I said it because I eat lowcarb most of the time but this place is SO good I forget about the carbs

Bravo. A competent ramen shop with legitimate ramen in Orem. People come and eat here. Its cheap, its good, its local. Hopefully, its figured out its stride and some of the reviews obviously have valid points. You can see that in the pictures where eggs have fully cooked yolks. My picture shows a perfect egg. You can also see, and taste, its marinated. We had a well prepared Gyoza. I had the Shoyu Ramen and the wife had the Tonkatsu. I normally get Tonkatsu. Its certainly the hardest to made and get right. They did a good job, but its missing the level of unctuousness you get with the best. The Shoyu was clean, fresh, and still had a good level of umami. The noodles are the correct type for the ramen. They were cooked correctly when I had them. The chashu was very good, but again, missing that little something from the best places. That said, outside of Ramen by Toshio Sekikawa on a good day, you wont do better than Asa. Theres a couple places adding ramen in SLC I havent tried, but I dont expect them to be better.

Just ate there with my husband. We are so glad that ramen has come to Utah County. Even better that it is GOOD ramen! Tastes as good as the authentic ramen shops in Los Angelos. We will be going on a LOT of date nights there. The tonkatsu was rich creamy and even a little hint of ginger. Not too salty like some tend to be. My dish the shuyo was bright and flavorful more like a typical broth in taste. In both bowls, the egg was cooked perfectly and he bamboo shoots still had texture and a very subtle crunch which was nice. The pork belly was more meat than fat, also a nice thing that set it apart from other ramen shops. We were seated right away, served and checked out within 30 minutes. That will make it easy to frequent this place. The staff was friendly, and kept the waters topped off. I appreciated that the server mentioned that adding extra noodles is only two minutes away. On more hungry nights I will take her up on that for sure. I highly reccomend it.

English/日本語 The ramen was amazing, easily the best I have had in Utah, though the large portion size isnt that big. The appetizers are good, but theyre over priced. This resturant reminds me of the small ramen shops in Japan. would recommend! このレストランのラーメンはすごかった、ユタで一番美味しかったと思う。アピタイザーいいけど、ちょっとぼったくり。このレストランは日本のラーメン店みたいでした。本当におすすめ!

Small place, good service. I went there for my birthday with about eight friends on a Friday night. It was busy but they sat us after about twenty minutes. It wasnt a bad wait at all. Service is great, the waitress we had was very nice and we were waiting for two people for a while, so she was very accommodating with that. Then theres the food. I couldnt get enough! The selection is concise and simple. There are four main choices, then you can spice those up with whatever ingredients you want. The appetizers were pretty tasty too. I definitely plan on going back again. Its easy to miss, but its there. And its worth going to.

For a ramen place its good, but expensive. They realize their the only ramen place in Utah county and make you pay for it. Great tonkotsu broth and extras like the bamboo, egg, and pork. Poor ramen sometimes. Went in as they were closing their lunch service and it was almost like they used an expired package of Top Ramen. It was sort of ashy or dusty, and had a weird pasty texture. Not springy and al dente. Went back at the beginning of their dinner service and the ramen was great, but the broth was just ok. Awesome chashu buns.

I keep coming back. Asa Ramen is so conveniently close to my house and so delicious that often I find myself within these walls. The restaurant is very basic, nothing flashy. It definitely is inspired by the Orem/Provo hipster masses with its modern music and low key services. What it lacks in decor/mood it makes up for in simply delicious food. I cant get myself to order anything other than the Tonkatsu Ramen with extra Chashu (pork belly). The food presentation is pretty and it makes the experience that much better.

For $9?! I expected much more than that...small, unimpressive menu with no pictures, and a boring and unauthentic atmosphere. This "ramen" was no better than a $1 one from wal-mart with the same size at that... Dont waste your money. The "ramen" was chewy, not even tasty, the egg was tasteless, and when I asked for Sriracha sauce they denied they had any and eventually gave me some. The sauces were bland and boring too, it was only soya and chili oil and some disgusting pepper.

I was a Ramen maniac when I lived in Tokyo; I had Ramen almost every single day. So I have been craving for good Ramen after I moved to Orem. Now... there is this Ramen restaurant nearby (they just opening in April 2016), and they are doing everything right to make proper Ramen!!! So far I have been this place every week to get my Ramen fix. If you wander what the real ramen should taste (near Orem / Provo area), you should try this Restaurant; this is THE place.

I Hope this was a bad day and not a trend, on the ramen the egg was old and cold, same with the meat and the noodles could use a bit more cooking. The karoge was pink when I but into the last two peices - pretty sure its not supposed to be. Waitress didnt check on me until she had the check and I had already eaten most the food. Normally this place is awesome and ive even come in 4 times a week back in March.... new management?

You may be a bit skeptical about this being a ramen place, since most of us have only ever eaten that cheap packaged stuff, but I will help you lay those concerns to rest. The food here is AMAZING. The staff is AMAZING. Everything is made fresh as you order it and it is so good. The only thing I do not recommend is ordering to go or taking lefovers, because the food is SO much better if you eat it fresh.
