まるきんラーメンだけの店舗ではなく、建物の1階の中に複数の店舗が出店していてフードコートの様な感じです、金曜日のお昼頃に行きましたが空席を見つけるのが難しい程混雑していました。まるきんラーメンはカウンターの横に注文を受け付ける小さいデスクがありそこでオーダーをしてから、番号札を受取り席に座ります。店員が番号札を探して持ってくださります。今回は僕は東京醤油ラーメン、友人は豚骨醤油ラーメンを注文しました。スープも麺もトッピングも日本の味です。物凄い特別！という訳ではありませんが、シンプルながら美味しいです。日本に住んだことがあるアメリカ人の先生に「ポートランドで1番美味しいラーメン」とオススメされたのですが、個人的には同意できます。ポートランドやビーバートン（隣の市、アジア系のお店が多い）には他にも日本食レストランやラーメン屋さんがありますが、ここをオススメして行きたいと思います。曜日によってオーダー出来るラーメンが変わりますので、公式サイトで事前にメニューをチェックして行くといいと思います。

One of the best Ramen noodles I have in downtown Portland (in my opinion). If youre craving for some hot ramen noodles when in downtown, visit this place! They rotate their ramen specials everyday. They also have vegan ramen options for non-carnivores. I would recommend Tonkutso Red if you like spicy noodles. Now, I havent been to Japan so I cant say for certain if this is on par with Japanese standard of ramen. I heard from a friend of mine whos been to Japan and knows all things Japanese that their ramen is oily, and so it didnt pass his standard. However, if youre the type of person whos adventurous AND craving for some hot noodle during the cold weather in the Great Pacific Northwest, try Marukin Ramen!

I do NOT normally rate a restaurant this low but I felt a need to warn other ramen connoisseurs that this is not the restaurant for you. We ordered two bowls, the Veggie & spicy veggie & all i can say is that the spicy broth tasted like tomato soup. Overall the Ramen here did not have that authentic punch of an authentic ramen house. To the connoisseurs I would say try Boxer Ramen up the street. The food at Marukin is just ok & to satisfy the wintertime hot soup craving or the occasional Ramen craving it will suffice.

Service here is extremely slow for a ramen place. I really dont understand how it can take that long to make ramen. If youve been to a ramen place anywhere else, youd be surprised at the rating this place is getting. I have a feeling people in Portland dont know what good ramen is. If youre visiting from out-of-town, and have access to decent ramen where you live, give this place a pass. The long wait for mediocre ramen will only leave you disappointed.

Food was served cold. The meat was the same temperature as cold meat straight from the fridge. (have heard similar complaints from other people) Staff was defensive, aggressive and very unprofessional when asked to reheat the soup. Our entire group walked out of this place.

The Pine Street Market is quite a fun place, though busy. On the edge of the hubbub is Marukin for some ramen and gyoza. I decided to try the vegetarian and it was tasty broth and the gyoza were tasty. Definitely worth stopping by for a quick lunch or snack!

The atmosphere could use some work, but the food is absolutely fantastic and every single time we have gone we are blown away. My husband and I both lived in Japan and this is the closest to the best as you can get!

This place is incredible and the atmosphere is super unique. I was beyond stoked with the quality and flavor. If you like ramen, you will not be disappointed! They have a vegan ramen also that is crazy delicious.

amazing ramen. just the right amount of spice/sour/sweet balance in all their dishes. Im not an expert in Ramen, but i thought their cold Ramen lacked flavor though. Not sure if it was meant to be that way.

Miso ramen: The noodles didnt make you want to gobble them up, and the good broth seemed chewy with the sediment of the sparse toppings. A fair first showing, but its no Tokyo train station ramen shop.

I daydream about the next time I can go and get some ramen from this place. It doesnt hurt that I can turn around and get some ice cream right after finishing my meal to continue my delicious gluttony.

Ramen that should be absolutely perfect if it takes 45 mins. It wasnt. Flavours were there but portions were small and too little broth was provided. Sadly missed the mark on a great location.
