I may be over critical, but the consistent reviews of "great service" should reevaluate their standards. I will forgive the girl taking the orders, as she seemed to be by herself and understaffed-not to mention new. But when five customers whom came in after us received not only their apeitizers, but their entrees, before us, I began to question their capabilities as a restaurant. Especially when they apologized for "misplacing" our appetizer, giving us a free garlic knot card, then misplacing the replacement appetizer. The staff is friendly, and was apologetic. I dont have an issue with them, just the business procedures. The redeeming quality was the pizza. The thin crust Avellio specialty pizza was amazing. It had just the right amount of cheese to hold the ingredients on the dough while allowing the sausage and pepperoni to shine through. The wifes gluten free BBQ chicken was good too! Not the typical cardboard you get with GF. The focacia fries, when they finally came to us, were a bit of a let down. Theyre just thin cut fries with parmasean cheese and parsley. I would recommend another app. They serve fountain, self-serve coke products. However, both the Coke and the Barqs were out of syrup. Overall, the restaurant has promise, but this visit missed the mark. I will probably revisit in a few months to give them a chance to work out the kinks. Go in with an open mind and an open schedule...you may be there for a while (for the food and the service).

This is a great alternative to typical pizza place in Sandy-Draper area. First off I love thin crust or flat bread pizza. People call it Neapolitan so we will go with that. It typically has a big crust on the ends made with home made dough that is not frozen so you dont have that weird taste and has a thin or flat crust on the main body of the pizza. This is what makes Neapolitan style pizza stand out and different from typical delivery type pizzas. The ingredients have a fresh taste and the pizza is spot on when you are calling it Neapolitan style. Mangia offers a bunch of styles or toppings anywhere from a Margarita style pizza to Buffalo Chicken pizza plus they have daily specials. I have been here a few times for lunch and dinner. I have tried the other items from the menu so this almost classifies as a Family Friendly Italian Restaurant because they dont just offer pizza. There are pastas, calzones and sandwiches plus delicious salads. Am I saying this place is off the charts Italian food..NO but for a family friendly atmosphere with good pizza and Italian food it takes the cake in Draper. Also I should mention that they have in house Gelato that is made in house by Sweetaly. If you havent tried that well it is for sure worth coming in and getting some samples then leaving with a gallon or two.

I was excited to try this new pizza place in Draper but was very disappointed. Its a nice, clean restaurant but when we arrived at dinner time and there were no customers, I was a bit skeptical. We had a large margherita pizza, a sausage and cheese calzone, a salad and three drinks. I felt like the total cost was very expensive -- $47! The pizza was very, very bland; no flavor AT ALL. The calzone, which was brought to us earlier than our pizza (isnt that unusual? Usually calzones take longer to cook than pizzas), was not done in the middle. The sausage was cold and the cheese wasnt melted. Yuck! The biggest issue for me was literally the BLAH, no flavor ... yuck, yuck, yuck. And we just spent nearly $50!! One other thing... Another couple came in while we were there. The manager (I think he was a manager) walked by their table and asked how their food was but didnt come by our table, hmmmm, why? I mean, we were literally the ONLY other people in the restaurant! Since I didnt get a chance to let the manager know in person what I thought of the food, I thought Id write my first-ever restaurant review! :-) If Im managing a restaurant, Id want the feedback. I hope the spirit in which this review is intended, is felt.

If youre thinking about going here save yourself the trip and disappointment. We ordered garlic knots and a pepperoni pizza. When we were ordering I noticed about 5 orders of the garlic knots sitting under the "warmer". We at down and about 10 minutes later they brought us the garlic knots. I was excited because that meant they made some fresh instead of bringing us some of the ones sitting out. I was wrong. They were not warm in the slightest, and they were hard (like that had been sitting out). Its a pizza place, so I hoped the pizza would be better. After about 25 minutes they came by to tell us the first one was burnt so they were cooking a new one. The pizza was hot when they brought it out, but thats about the only difference between it and the knots. Tasteless, hard and below average pizza. Many better restaurants in the area to go to

My mom recommended Mangia for lunch today, saying that she had ordered it a few times for lunch with her coworkers, so we decided to go in and try it out. Right when we walked in we were greeted with a genuine smile from who seemed like the general manager. The guy at the checkout was super nice to us! We ordered a complicated split topping pizza. We had to wait a few minutes, but because of this, the checkout guy brought us some complementary garlic knots (SO GOOD!) and apologized for the wait, which really wasnt too long considering it was a large and well topped pizza. The food was delicious, tasted very fresh, and filled me up in the best way. I could tell the ingredients were quality and that the pizza was made by well trained employees. 10/10 recommend for any pizza lovers. Cant wait to go back and try some of the pastas and salads!

The first time we went to Mangia was on a Saturday night. There were only 4 people eating in the whole restaurant. My friends and I ordered 3 pizzas and a calzone and some bread knots, and I ordered a salad. The salad and bread knots came out right away and then my husband and Is pizza shortly after. We were completely finished with our salad and entire pizza before my friends other 2 pizzas and calzone came out. We had to have been waiting at least 45 minutes to an hour. We were notified that the calzone had been left in the oven too long and that they had to make a new one. I guess the other 2 pizzas must have been in there too? They did give us cards for free bread knots but we just wanted the food we ordered... The food was good but I dont think well be back. Not a good impression to make someones first time eating at a restaurant.

For someone that has lived in Italy... this pizza is not even close to Italian... canned tomatoes with no seasoning, funky tasting crust, bland garlic knots, and frozen fried ravioli is not Italian... you also compare yourself to a Mew York pizzeria... I would rather get pizza from a street vender in Tijuana, Mexico than waste $41.00 again! Just close up shop and count your losses! The only good thing about your place was Sweetaly Gelato... now theres a place that represents the Italian name! Go home Mangia... your done!
