The bartender was not friendly at all from the beginning of the night until last call even though I tipped her well. When I first got there I ordered a pitcher and paid with a 50. The waitress took it and said aloud, Out of 50. She poured my beer and brought it to me along with my change. I gave her a 5 dollar tip which she acted very appreciative for but as I started to walk away I look down and notice I only have 5 ones in my hand. I bought a 9.25 pitcher of beer, gave a 5 dollar bill for a tip and have 5 ones left. Surely it was just a mistake so I turn around to tell her but she of course is helping somebody else so I wait. She finishes just as somebody else walks up to the bar and instead of helping me, who was there first, she helps the dude that just walked up. So Im still waiting to get my change and finally she serves him his drinks and turns to me. I waited 5 or 10 minutes and I say to her "I gave you" and before I can even finish my sentence to say what happened she nods and goes to the register to get the 30 dollars she owed me. She accidentally gives me change for a 20 and then more than 5 minutes later and after serving 2 other people she suddenly realizes her error before I can even tell her what happened? I dont think so. Later that evening something similar happened. I was sitting at a table in the back watching the band when our waitress thats been serving us all night comes by and I order another pitcher from her. Shes asks me if I could pay her then because it will save her a trip so I gave her the 9.25 for the pitcher and a 3.75 tip and she says shell be right back with my beer. As a side note I realized 10 seconds later it would not save her a trip because she would have to bring my pitcher out anyway. I could have paid her when she brought it out and she would have taken the same amount of trips. After about 10 minutes of waiting for the pitcher the waitress comes back around and says theyre changing the keg and it will just be another minute. But it was more than another minute and after 10 more minutes of waiting I go up to the bartender, not our waitress whos nowhere to be found, and ask about the pitcher I paid for and tipped the waitress for but have been waiting 20 minutes to get. She also tells me the blue moon is out but says nothing about changing the keg and offers to poor me a half blue moon pitcher and another half of another beer in different pitcher. So I wait around the bar 2 or 3 more minutes for her to finish with another customer and she ends up being able to pour me a full pitcher. I liked the atmosphere there and the band was great as well as the other patrons but the staff is very rude and inconsiderate even if you are nice and generous to them. I gave the bartender a 5 dollar tip for a 9 dollar pitcher of beer and she tried to shortchange me and then I tipped the waitress almost 4 dollars on a 9 dollar pitcher in good faith and then I end up waiting 20 minutes for it to come but it never does and I have to take it upon myself to go to the bar and ask about the pitcher i bought and tipped the waitress to get for me, I didnt tip the waitress to make me wait that long only to have to go to the bar myself to get it. It would be a great place to hang out if the staff wasnt so rude and tried to scam and prey on people who are drunk and might not notice if they were shortchanged or paid for a pitcher the waitress never brought out.

The people they let work there are extremely unprofessional. Not a good business at all, its a waste of your money if you go there. Our server Kylie clearly was either not sober or is not fit to work as a bartender. She did not keep tabs on anyones drinks and tried charging us for beers that were not ours. Beers I myself actually saw sitting out before we even went to go sit. We tried telling her calmly that we did not buy those drinks and she threw a temper tantrum and stormed off, trying to guilt trip saying shed have to pay for them with her tips. I dont know any manager of any establishment that would ever tolerate this kind of public behavior. But we were kicked out. If you do still want to go here, just know they may try to charge you for drinks that arent yours. Kylie is unprofessional and is not fit to work around other people.

Been going here for years........ Never had problems until last night. Kylie was our server, her shift was ending so she closed us out. She gave us a tab with several extra drinks on it. When we brought it up to her, she threw a fit. She then complained to us about her having to pay for it out of her tips. Then she said going forward, Im just going to require credit cards from all of you. We said that is fine if that helps you remember who order what. At this point the bouncer and cook were just adding fuel to the fire. At this point they kicked us out. I left without causing any more problems and called to talk to a manager or owner. I was hung up on several times. I have never seen such horrible service in my life.

So Beastie Boys is now considered Blues. Went tonight got there early and paid the cover to see "Tony Holiday & The Velvetones described as "Winners of the 2016 Best Blues Band -City Weekly Music Awards!Tony Holiday and the Velvetones plan to keep blues their business, and business is good! " What I got was Vanilla Ice and the Beastie Boys. The opening performer was Blues and Soulful and the only thing that redeemed the evening. I suppose the second group would be considered good by some other standards but as a "Blues Band" they sucked either that or the definition of Blues in SLC is drastically different then what Im used to. If you going to do Hip Hop its fine just please dont advertise it as Blues.

First impression is this place is just a hidden gem! Its not isolated in the wilderness, but it definitely feels like youre walking into another world going into the Hog Wallow Pub. It has a rustic cabin type feel initially when you first walk in with a nice open space. And then you get to the patio which is just stunning. It has many wonderful, big, mature plants and trees everywhere and feels very secluded. The best part is there are misters outside on the patio, pretty well hidden except for the mist for the really hot days. There is a wonderful selection of beer with many on tap options and the food is absolutely incredible. I will definitely be back to just enjoy an evening with friends!

Two stars for the great atmosphere and great location. 2 friends and I waited 30 minutes for the cocktail waitress (short girl with a white flower in her hair) to come take our order on the patio and then after the 4th time asking for service we were rudley approached by the waitress as she threw both of her hands on the table she aggressively told us that that if shes busy go to the bar and that this isnt a restaurant and ended the sentence with "so what do you want". I found it as a unprofessional excuse for someone who cant handle the job. So we want to the bar to order and she was so "busy" stuffing her face behind the bar.. Lets just say dont rely on a coctail waitress to do the job.
