I went in to get some breakfast and fill out an application while I waited. The hostess did not give me an application when I asked, so I had to ask my waitress who replied, "You are going to order something, right?" I almost walked out then, still I stayed and ate my meal. The sausage was undercooked and I had to send my potatoes back because they cant see to comprehend, "No onions please." After I finished, I asked to speak tp a manger so I could turn in my application. My waitress went to go find one and asked if I could come back at two oclock. I agree and went home for a few hours. After reshowering and putting on a clean outfit to meet with this manager - There was no one there, he had gone home for the day. I will never be back again.

Mice are in the back. Food not kept at tempuratures. Walk in freezer door doesnt stay closed properly, so food is never at right tempurature. When it rains, water leaks into the restuarant from the ceiling around food. Fly traps hanging above food. Employees dont wash hands. No gloves. Place falling apart. Windex is used to wipe down tables, no disinfectant is used. Horrible place to eat, will make u sick. Dead mice on traps around food. Ive personally seen employees and managers smoke outside and then come in and touch food without washing hands. Dirty, smells in the back badly. Soap dispensers for employees always empty. If this place makes you sick when you eat there, now you know why.

Had credit card issues in 2 separate visits. The first time I was charged twice. The second time my $4 tip was changed to $40. Both issues were eventually resolved. The second time I called, I was put on hold. The music contained the lyrics "f... you." "f... you" and "I dont give a f..." Its been over 2 weeks and that promised gift certificate still hasnt arrived. The post office is slow during the holidays. I posted a review just over 2 weeks ago when my credit card was misused the service time. That review has been removed by someone other than myself. Im sure this one will be as well.

Ive visited Tyler four times now in the past decade. Whereever I go, I make an effort to find the good dives. Yet the Diner is the first place Ive dined at in the city worth celebrating in ten years. Very good crepes, chicken-fried steak and eggs, and pancakes. Good coffee. They only fall down on the side dishes. My toast was a little limp and the home potatoes were shoveled out of a bin, having been made a couple of hours earlier (Very few places do good home fries, Ill try the hash browns next time). Anyway, when in Tyler, your best bet for a decent meal.

Breakfast menu was extensive and varied. There were 3 of us who met up for coffee and breakfast. It took us awhile to make our decisions. Food was abundant and delicious. I had the "All meats" omelette with crispy hash browns and chose a croissant for my bread. My companions chose brisket omelettes and scarfed their breakfasts up.Due to the large portions I could only finish half my breakfast. Asked for a take home box and had the 2nd half for my supper after reheating (I added some sliced tomatoes) and it was perfect.

Im not sure where the high ratings come from. My experience was not nearly so wonderful. Our server was not helpful or friendly. I asked if there were any flavored coffees available and was told no. I looked at the menu and saw a caramel Macchiato listed. The skillet potatoes were straight from the freezer and had never seen the inside of a skillet. My "soft" scrambled eggs were not soft scrambled or hot. The bacon was too tough to eat. I would have been just as well off if I had driven through McDonalds.

Came in from Dallas on vacation. Set out looking for IHOP but it was packed. Googled the nearest diner and this one came up not too far from IHOP. I am so happy that I made the decision to drive a bit further. This diner is grade A++. My family of four was seated with in 10 minutes, the AMAZING food was out quickly, it tasted great, our waitress was attentive. This was a very positively memorable experience. Price is moderate, probably the same as IHOP but, for the experience its well worth ditching IHOP.

This place is awesome! The menu is extensive and offers traditional fare, along with some cool, innovative offerings not seen in Tyler. They offer catering and healthy choices for in house and to go. The staff there work very hard and are attentive, friendly, and accommodating. I saw them go out of their way to assist an elderly women and family find the most comfortable spot for her this morning. I plan to bring my family and recommend friends here, so check them out!

Been there before. Today... A little disappointed. Great burger but my onion rings were given to me stone cold, batter for the onion ring was bland and caked on so thick that it was super "bready" with hardly any onion and raw flour parts all over. Nasty. I had to pay extra to get these onions rings which is another reason it was such a let down. Total bummer.

Great food with good variety. We had a group of 20 and they dont have a specific seating area for large groups but still accommodated our seating as best they could. Considering that, the service was still better than what Ive had at many places when it was just my wife and I. Will definitely come back next time Im in Tyler.

My biggest concern is ordering a meal to be catered in to my job and not having enough food for everyone. I work with mostly guys who work in the field, so they are always hungry. James made sure we had plenty of food and even had some left over. Bonus - the food was excellent!! Thanks for taking care of us.

Will never go back. Was way too loud, we were seated in the middle of the room at a small table with a large man (350+ lbs) behind us which made it cramped, the waitress got the order wrong but told me it was my mistake, and the food was only average. I didnt just dislike it, but I hated it.

Some of our food was not fully cooked and other was overcooked. Food a little bland. There was a live roach on the table and then got on the wall that then went into the outlet. Mgr came buy, but only offered to move us to another table. Do not recommend and not going back.

The Diner is a MUST if you are in Tyler. Parking isnt that great but if you have patience to find a space, you are in for a treat! The food is the best. Everything Ive tried is great! The servers are all super nice and helpful and they make great recommendations too.

Disappointed in The Diner-Sep30,2011- The Menu had no info about All Day Breakfast. Waitress did not bring any enthusiasm to table. A simple dish King Ranch took long time come out the kitchen. Taste nothing Id call Food Net.about.6:49pm
