This place is probably the worst bar/restaurant in San Antonio. First, the service was terrible and it took about 20 minutes to get our waitress to come back around for the second round of drinks. When we finally got our drinks, they were room temperature. Tried to get the waitress attention for some cold mugs and that was another fail. Had to go up to the bar just to ask for a cold mug, but the bartender laughed and said, "Try Twin Peaks." They were fine with serving warm beer. Then we decided to order some food and that was a disaster. On two of the plates, which were supposed to come with a side of fries, came with a heaping amount of 10 fries each! Also ordered a steak that was supposed to be medium rare, but instead came out well done, almost burned. The chicken was the only decent part of the whole experience, but even so, it was cold. When we finally got the waitress to come back around and ask her for the check, she huffed as if we were inconveniencing her to do her job. I understand none of the food is in her control, but what is with the attitude?! We still treated her nicely. On top of it, they charged $5 or $10 to get in because the Spurs game was playing(this was back in May by the way). I can see why this place is never busy. Avoid this place and spend your money elsewhere. Definitely not worth it.

What To Order: Shepherds Pie Ive visited this location a few times, and service can vary a little bit, but overall its pretty good. My food has ranged from decent to excellent depending on the items ordered. So far Ive tried the Shepherds Pie, which is my favorite, the fish and chips, the pulled pork sandwich, and the chicken wings. Serving sizes on entrees here are on the small side. Sometimes when dining with someone else we will split an additional entree or appetizer which usually is enough to make the meal pretty filling. Beer selection is decent, with a variety of ciders as well. I dont frequent the location often, but when Im looking for something a bit different, to grab a few drinks and a decent meal this is always a good option. While I wouldnt consider this a bargain, or a place to go for a big meal, it does make a decent spot for a lite meal, or to watch a game, hang out with friends and grab a bite to eat. Pricing is about average for a bar/restaurant combo.

This is addressed to the Owner. I sent an email to April Poerner, their supposed "Mktg Mgr" on 3/14 inquiring about an event to be catered. The event consists of Owners and Execs of their organization/s; wouldve been a great business opportunity for them. NO REPLY. On 3/17, we went to the 281 location specifically to inquire again, taste their food, and exchanged business cards with the GM, Tony Becker. I informed him to expect an email inquiring of the catering details. Came back to the office, sent him an email that same day, NO REPLY. Emailed him again on 3/21 asking if he would like our business....STILL NO REPLY. Just want to let you know that you have lost past and future patrons. We will never set foot in your establishment again,. Your "management" staff apparently dont want existing and additional business anyway. Too bad Sherlocks closed on 281...THE BEST fish and chips!!! And its NOT bland!!!

The food was excellent once we got waited on. We sat for 10 minutes before they ever came over to ask if we had been waited on. There are over 30 tables and 100 places to sit at the bar. There were 8 tables in the whole restaurant with people eating. Our waitress waited on 4 tables 2 of which had only men at the table. She sat down at the table with one and stood at the other for long periods of times. Came to our table as well as the others with mixed couples 2 times 1 to take our order and the 2nd to deliver our meal. I had to ask for my second drink I do tip very well if I get the services I feel I deserve. However tonight young lady you have not earned nothing from me. While the food was good the service was absolutely horrible! I have boobs too and you really missed your opportunity for a tip as well as learn to treat all of your customers with respect and appropriate service

I loved this place but they recently fired some of the most loving girls ever. Lizzette was one of the reasons why Id go she is full of energy and always has a smile on her face no matter what is going wrong in her day or how much shes going through. Tori & Bianca are amazing bartenders. Sad that they fired Lizzette. and soo many other girls. I get helped out by Nicole and Cass a lot, i come here often with my husband and we loved the place but its going down, I had a girl the other night I believed her name was Jeanalle and she was soo a mess, she seemed very lost and like if it was her first day. I wanted Lizzette as my server but she wasnt there… when asked to speak to a manager they wouldnt come to the front… now we might stop visiting due to the unstableness this place is going through. They need to bring back smart pretty young ladies who know what tjeir doing.

The kilt used to be a place for great food and good times. Food was always fresh and full of flavor. My most recent 3 visits were anything but good. The bartender took forever despite an empty bar. The tk nachos had no nacho cheese on half the chips and the meat had practically dissolved in the cheese. The boneless wings were just okay. The burger which used to come with a decent portion of fries. This past visit the portion wouldnt satisfy a kid. And the drunkin clams (my favorite dish) which used to come drowning in juice, full of flavor, and always leaving one wanting more were sitting in a less then puddle of juice all shriveled up and just plain disgusting. I dont know what has changed in the past couple years but it hasnt been for the better...

Was there last night and was the absolute worst experience ever. Waited nearly 2 hours for my food. I literally ordered 5 minutes prior to the game and I got my food around 4th quarter. The cheese on my quesadillas were burnt and honestly I just didnt bother returning the plate to have to wait another 2 hours. Waitress was no where to be found..I had to get up 3 times to order drinks at the bar....which the bartender was to busy flirting with the guy in front of her so I still waited for drinks...but worst of all the manager was seen taking shots with a group of people. Well no wonder your restaurants service sucks....its being ran by management who is to busy getting boozed up rather then helping out if short staffed. NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!

Stopped by during a rain storm just to get out off the crazy traffic on 1604 and was amazed at the poor service provided. The young lady running the bar seemed like she didnt want to be there. There was only like 5 people at the bar and maybe two couples dining that afternoon but the staff seemed to not be ready to provide any service what so ever. They were actually sitting in the dinning room for everyone to see them but could careless to see if the young lady at the bar need any assistance since she had to get the keg replaced at one point. All and all I might go back to see if it gets any better and will update my review.
