Really great service and AWESOME food! Gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, po boys, catfish plates, oysters, shrimp, etc. All the Cajun favorites. At first glance, prices might seem on the high side but the quantity and MOST importantly, the QUALITY is well worth the price. Please DONt let the pricing scare you away - it IS worth it! Catfish - REALLY good, clean (NOT muddy tasting) fish, perfectly battered and there seemed to be a slight spice to the batter. Sausage poboy- fresh toasted bread with fresh lettuce, tomato, etc. Chicken and sausage gumbo - yeah!!!!! Available in "cup" size or "bowl" size. Be aware the cup size is pretty generous. There were five of us at lunch and the ONLY complaint we had was the noise level. Its a pretty open area so it was pretty loud. However, we ALL agreed that we will be back again on a regular basis. If something can be done about the noise level, we will be back MUCH more often - it is REALLY that good!

Service was bad... Employees eating behind the bar? and standing outside behind a wall to hide from management not the customers??? The best part was when we ordered beignets and watched the hostess (white heavy set girl with corn rows) grab them off the pick up line and take theme outside to eat them with a friend Then our waitress arguing with another waitress on taking the beignets. Crazy! THE TABLES OMG THEY DID NOT CLEAN OUR TABLE ! THEY JUST PICKED UP THE PLATES AND CUPS BEFORE WE SAT DOWN FROM THE GUEST BEFORE!? I watched and that is what they kept doing picking up plates and cups then putting customers on these tables.....thats Nasty. Called the GM today Crystal.....She said she has no Hostess that is heavy set with corn rows. So I called back and another employee said her name was Brandi. San Antonio could use a great Cajun Spot but with this Service I fear they will not make it...

Mamma saw the restaurant lat week, and decided she wanted Cajun for Mothers Day. We came for lunch, and had a great experience. Sean was our server, and was attentive. Since it was our first time here, he brought out a little sample tray, so we get a taste of the most popular entrees. I had blackened catfish. The peppers and squash were grilled, hot and still a bit crunchy, and delicious. We also had red beans and rice, very tasty, jambalaya was very tasty, though maybe a little dry(but I can only compare it to boxed ones weve cooked at home). Catfish poboy was great, and more than my daughter could finish. The free binget that they gave for Mothers Day was a nice treat. Will definitely return!

From the moment we walked in and to the moment we left everything was perfect. Our waiter explained the menu and gave great suggestions. Since it was our first time there, they provide a flight of samples. From their beans and rice to their gumbo and bisque soooo delicious! We had raw oysters, the cat etofee and a bowl of seafood gumbo. All perfect, the flavors were on point, the cat fish was cooked very well and the breading was light and delicious. We definitely will be going back and recommending this place to all our friends and family. Thank you to all the staff for a great experience and the delicious food!!

Was excited about a new Cajun place in town but this leaves a lot to be desired. Tries two items: Seafood Gumbo - almost no crab meat at all, 4 tiny shrimp that had been cooked to hell, and a bit of rice in a very mild thick soup. Not flavorful and spicy as gumbo should be. Cattouffe - the catfish was tasty, but the menu promises crawfish etouffee and this does not deliver. As with the gumbo, counted perhaps 5 crawfish tails, and the flavor was very much lacking. Overall disappointing, not seeing much reason for going back.

A complete joke. My boyfriend and I live in Louisana and came to San Antonio to visit. We tried theyre sampler and everything tasted like a watered down version of what it should be.The gumbo tasted like water the bisque tasted like milk, I liked there red beans ok but even that tasted very bland almost as if the person making them made them the right way then added water to it. Dont assume this is a proper representation of Cajun food because its a poor recreation of it

The food is authentic and awesome, but what really sets The Lost Cajun apart is its fantastic service. We arrived one night as they were closing (we thought they closed an hour later), and they insisted we come in and get served. We werent rushed or shortchanged at all; we got the same amazing service and fantastic food we had gotten on all of our previous visits. TLC makes a great addition to dining on the NW side.

Service here is excellent. Well staffed and well managed. Food was great. Tried all of gumbos and jambalayas, all of them were excellent. I would say that the Lobster Bisque was the best. I also tried the crawfish Pasta Lafitte and that dish was excellent as well. The highlight of the visit was the bar and the beignets. Beer was native to Louisiana and tasted extremely fresh. The beignets were large and fluffy.

Oh yeah military get a discount and free bienets ! 5 thumbs up to this place.

Super friendly staff. Great food. They will bring you a free sampler with 6 portions of their classic dishes (etouffeé, red beans and rice, jambalaya, lobster bisque, seafood gumbo, chicken and sausage gumbo). Then you know from the start how everything is and exactly what you need to get. Try the crawfish pies sloppy style (not on the menu).

Food was excellent, arrived close to closing time, expected to get the days left overs. The food was freshly made and delicious. Catfish came with seasoned fries, coleslaw, garlic bread, waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. TVS all around the restaurant. Great bar. They have happy hour prices. Ill be back.

Awesome food and service every time I come here! Atmosphere very friendly, good music playing as you eat (and you dont have to yell to be heard when speaking to your companion/s). Beignets are to die for and today my daughter got an order of the mini beignets!!! I will recommend this place to everyone!

Went here during their soft opening. I along with two others had all kinds of goodies from the menu. Personally the gator po-boy and seafood etouffee were my favorite. The lobster bisque was rich and somewhat sweet if thats your thing. Overall great place that I recommend.

The sample they gave us when we got in was great. We went with the lobster bisque, sloppy crawfish pies and crawfish etoffuie and everything was delicious. Prices were great compared to the big guy down the street. Going to make this a regular stop cant wait to go back.

After seeing 3 Cajun restaurants go out of business in SA, I plead with you to support this one! Ive been in NOLA & this one has the best red beans & rice Ive had. We enjoyed the jambalaya & delicious beignets! The server was very attentive & friendly.
