Syntax Error
What To Order: Texas Plate A few people mentioned this place to me, and couldnt believe I hadnt tried it because I pass this place a few times a week. So I finally stopped in for a late lunch. The menu didnt have lunch hours, but at 4pm I still ordered from the lunch section. It took a few minutes before someone came to my table, I sat myself and picked up a menu at the register. I ordered a coke, which was a fountain drink with free refills and a few minutes later the waitress came to take my food order. She brought chips and salsa to the table. I ordered the Texas plate, which is 2 cheese enchiladas, carne guisada, rice and beans, salad and guacamole. The plate came out along with some tortillas. The serving size was huge, the plate was completely full and about half way thru eating I knew there was no way I was going to finish it all. The enchiladas were pretty good, the rice and beans good, and the carne guisada excellent. I could see myself coming back for carne guisada tacos. The plate as a whole was really good, and for the price of $7 was a ton of food. Definitely one of those places to go when your really hungry. Service was pretty good, they did come by twice to make sure everything was good while I was eating. It was just a bit of a slow start when I first came thru the door. I would eat here again, first because its affordable, second because the serving sizes were huge, and third because the food had good flavor. If your in the area and looking for a new Mexican restaurant to try, check this place out.

If your a male such as I am the waitresss will be great with service. If your a female needing service these stuck up wetback girls employed will ignore & be a drenched back cun* to your table. I know because I was served promptly during a visit alone. Came with my mother & worst experience EVER. I dont pull the race card & disrespect but after being in this establishment walking to pay I could overhear my waitress conversation in back & Im not stupid I know what she was saying.. calling me a putõ wolieõ if thats the correct spelling..I will never return because I got sick for 3 days following after eating here. One of the worst cases of food poisoning Ive experienced. Hospital nurse asked me where I ate & she recalled having at least 5 others coming in with stomach ailments after eating here. Avoid this place @ all costs unless you want to take an enemy food to send them to the hospital. This nasty place is not clean... the drive thru window is slow..even early in the morning when no one is there... people the wet backs are rude... not Tex Mex food... tortillas are store bought.. they dont speak English ....they use too much red pepper ..like the food in Mexico...Ive been here in San Antonio all my life and that food is not Authentic Tex..Mex

May 2014 My mom and I received such bad service and the food was not the greatest. The waitress (light skin, hispanic lady with glasses) came to our table and only handed us one menu, and when mom asked her for another one, she turned around and walked away. She gave us little, tiny, broken pieces of nachos to eat with salsa and during the 15-20 minutes we waited for the 2 bean and cheese tacos and a nacho plate we ordered, not once did she come by our table to ask if we needed a drink refill or anything. My mom had to ask another waitress to get her to come to our table. Our food was brought to us, and looked okay, but the tacos flour tortillas were hard as if they were old. And again, while we ate, the waitress never came by. I did speak with the cashier to let them know of this waitress, so hopefully they got on her so no one else experiences this there. But, overall, bad experience, and will not be going back.

The servers speak little to no English, do not understand basic context, do not clean their stoves, and the place itself is cluttered and dilapidated. The food is extremely mediocre, overpriced, and not well portioned. I explicitly stated for a dinner order that there were to be no tomato (as my sister Is allergic) but tomato was there anyway, and when I reminded them that I asked for no tomato, they claimed I did not ask for that for that particular order ( I did, I changed the entree and figured it was clear that no tomato still applied, clearly troglodytes run this poor excuse for a restaurant). As I type this, I am breaking out in gluten-induced hives, as I have an allergy to all wheat products, despite ordering corn, proving they do not regulary clean their stoves. Your money is better spent elsewhere. They also do not provide receipts, so good luck getting your money back.

Being from out of town, I was surprised how inexpensive the food was in this San Antonio restaurant. At first look the food looks great. The presentation seems very delicious. But once you start eating, you notice that the food is not as appetizing as it looks. I had the mini tacos. The tortillas were tough and lacked flavor. The meat was barely cooked and dry. The salsas lacked character. If they would put more care in cooking the food this would be a great place to eat. The high note here is the waitress. Very friendly.

We went on a friends recommendation. There were three of us and we all agreed that the food was exemplary and the service was extraordinary. I had the Torta Milanesa, the best Ive ever had, my husband ordered the Enchiladas Verdes, chicken, and said they were great, my brother had the Loco Fideo and got a To Go cup because he couldnt finish it but didnt want to waste any. Service was fast and efficient, the food was the perfect temperature, was presented well and was flawless. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised.

They are always forgetting something in your order, you would think that they would check the order before bagging it up. And when you call to let them know about the order the additued changes from polite to just plain rude. They promise to make it right on your next visit but can never find the ticket or remember the conversation. Maybe if the uniforms werent so tight and the skirts werent so short and makeup piled on they wouldnt be so misirrible. I wouldnt even give them one star.

Im pretty much a regular, but after today I will not return. The ladie who is at the cashier told me my total, but when I got a text to my phone it was a different total. She added $8 more. Thats not much, but it is when you leave cash for a tip already. She thought she would get away with it, but thanks to my text alert shes didnt. People please Beware when paying with a credit card. (sign up for text alert everytime your card is used) Sad that people try and steal that way.

We pulled up drive through and girl with glasses was bitting her nails for 5 min straight then we continued to watch as she was making our drinks (touching inside of cup) after bitting nails, and continued to do it after the drinks ,disgusting and we asked for the manager and he told the lady to ask us what we wanted bcs he was "busy" after we told him he didnt even tell her anything, she just laughed. Plus the food is HORRIBLE , especially the shakes , was watered down ..
