Let me put this in context by starting off with this. I love Hooters. I have been to many across the country. This one has the location but it does not have the staff. This is my second visit and last visit to this one. There were two girls standing outside the door when we approached and they were too busy talking to acknowledge us or open the door. When we walked inside there was no Hostess there to greet us or seat us. The place is dirty. I dont know if it is black mold or caked up grease on the ceiling above the hightops. You can go judge the bathrooms for yourselves. Service. We watched server after server come to the food window and look at the tickets on tthe food to see if it was theirs, and then push it aside and leave if it was not theirs. The place has about 30 tables and it was only half full. When I first arrived they got the order wrong. It took way too long to get the food the first time, yet alone having to wait for the second time. The temperature and humidity inside the place was ridiculous. The AC is in need of repair, is what I was told when I asked my server about it. It was just a disappointment. There are many options right in that same area on the Riverwalk. I highly recommend you try one of the others and leave us a review so we will know where to go to get a cold beer or a mixed drink.

I typically love hooters... Their fried pickles are by far the best in the business! However the location downtown lacked the hooters hot ness. The gal we got for our server had curly hair asian of some sort.cute but yuck.. Had horrible eye shadow on and couldnt wait tables for nothing. Her gal pal hoots, couldmt help standing in front of the register looking in their compacts as if a zit was bothering them... A total turn off. Our waitresse was rude. Forgot to bring our drinks and them looked at our table in disbelief that our drinks werent there. Wait did she actually forget? It was prior to rush hour dinner, place wasnt busy yet still the hoot couldnt do her job as if too busy lookin at her face or eye shadow in the mirror. This visit tore my craving..... The fries were old and tasted as if they had been re-fried. The wings were so crazy greasy. N breading galore! So were the fried pickles, but at least those after a napkin soaking were ok. Eh mediocre to not so hot hooters.... Kinda bit it, the food is really goimg downhill.

First off, its FRIED food, its not supposed to be the holy grail of food. Its wings that go good with beer. Second, if a rude hostess is the main complaint of your ranting review, then maybe you should write a novel for Chilis instead of dissing a restaurant simply because you decided to eat somewhere when all of San Antonio decided to grab some Hooters wings at the same time. If you eat at a busy restaurant on a busy day while youre in a hurry to eat, then expect the obvious. Lastly, my review. Took my nieces to eat here for the first time. We were greeted kindly but with a little wait as they looked short handed and busy. Becky, our waitress, gave really great service. She checked on us as much as she could in between her other tables. The food was packed with flavor and juicy and low in calories(not), which to me is an All American meal. It was served hot and delicious. Drinks kept full. Stomach kept full, too. These girls know their stuff and know how to keep considerate customers happy. Always coming back!!!!

I cant remember the last time I had to lose my mind in a restaurant but I simply had had it stupid excuses and incompetence. It was the worse experience from them taking over 15 mins between the server and manager to get me a to-go box to them issuing the wrong refund to my parents after being charged for the wrong bill. We literally dealt with all this for over 30 mins. I should have listened when it took almost 5 mins to be seated and people who were leaving said how slow the service was. The absolute only redeeming quality is the food is consistent with what Ive had at other Hooters in other states. But theres too many options to eat at in this mall to go back when it was only half full.

The service was horrible. I went there for a to go order. The prices on the menu were not the same as I was charged. I was told by the Hooters Girl at the bar that their menus come from another store (I have never heard that before). I was told the bar would handle my order yet she was too busy shuffling UNO cards to pay attention to any new customers that came to the bar. And when she did come over she was very nonchalant and seemed annoyed I disturbed her uno game to make an order. Yet there were other workers standing around that could have taken my order. I waited awhile for my food that was okay but I would not suggest this place if you are looking for great service.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would....didnt even make it to a table. We were told a 45 minute wait at 10pm on a Thursday night for a party of 4 with half the tables open and set in the dining area. When we asked why we had to wait 45 minutes? Because the kitchen was backed up. How dumb can you be? As a hostess...youd be fired in my restaurant. Never let customers walk out the door. If that instruction came from a manager?...shame on you! Your manager should reprimand at the very least. Hooters is a sports bar...sit the people at a table & keep them happy with drinks & a bowl of tortilla chips! But never let $ walk out the door!!! Not smart! Sorry, not sorry!

I visited here last Year to order takeout for Myself. Hooters has a Sports Bar setup with TVs placed so every patron can see whatever Game is playing. This particular Hooters is unique because it is on the San Antonio Riverwalk. The Staff is nice and they treat You like Family just like it is at other Restaurants Ive been to. I had the Boneless Chicken Wings tossed in Daytona Beach sauce and those were the best tasting Chicken Wings I ever had. If anyone likes Restaurants with a Sports Bar or Pub type atmosphere, give Hooters a try.

Service was pretty bad. 15 minutes to get my beer. People who got there after us got their food before us, w/ the SAME waitress even. Food was decent, when we finally got it after 30 minutes, and she still forgot our fries. Wings werent as good as normal. It didnt help that they were sitting around for awhile. As menitioned, waitress didnt bring our fries out w/ our food. So that took another 10 minutes. Her fastest time back to the table was to pick up the checks. If you decide to go and have Kimberly as your waitress.... good luck.

This was the first time at hooters. We went on a Monday night so it wasnt busy at all but yet the service was horrible. We never got refills on our drinks. We had to hound the waitress down so we could place our order. Once our order was placed the appetizers came shortly after and were amazing. It took an hour more so we could finally get our order of wings. The waitress brought us wrong things we hadnt even ordered. Over all I wont be coming back to this hooters location service was horrible and a very bad experience.
