I was one of your very first customers that gave you excellent reviews. I am going to say that the other day I was not very happy. You guys keep changing your hours...and without posting them! I went to your coffee shop about 5:10 pm on Monday Jan 11th. The girl there just basically gave me the shoe out the door saying you closed at 5. I mentioned to her that no where on three sites does it mention a change in the hours. I checked Facebook, Google, and your website and they all said your hours on that day were 10-6p.m. Today I look on Facebook and it says Mon-Tuesday 10-5. All the other sites say 10-6. So the Facebook was changed. Please be consistent with your hours....I made a special trip to be there. And at least make the websites reflect the correct hours. I was really wanting to be at your location, but instead I went to Local and I was treated much nicer.

I wouldve given this place a 5 star if I were in my 20s, but Im in my 30s with two young children. This place does not have a childrens menu, nor high chairs. I can understand that people with children might not be the target audience of CommonWealth to begin with so Im ok with that. Outside of the non-kid friendly aspect, they are "very strict" about serving lunch at 11:00am sharp. We had to wait while they checked with the chef if it was ok for us to order from the lunch menu at 10:55am. The black and blue I ordered had no head. I thought this would be pretty easy to see that their nitrogen is out, but I had to complain and ask them to check the nitrogen before the barista believed me. This was my second time visiting while the black and blue was also out of commission the first time around. Should I revisit hoping third time is a charm? Ill have to ponder.

Cool location, being in a small house its a different experience and the decor is nice (although a bit busy). They serve cuvee which is ok coffee, nothing amazing. And its the same coffee you can get on the same street within a few miles of each other at multiple places, so I wish they would change that up. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well. The food is very good, although on the pricey side given the portion. A croissant sandwich is 7.50. While its delicious it does not come with any greens/sides and the portion size left me hungry for something more. For a dollar more I can get a equally delicious sandwhich with a little more variety and chips/pickle at Bakery Lorraine. For dessert we got a tart, and it was really good. So overall, a great addition to the area with some great offerings. Well be back to try more desserts soon.

Beautiful spot. Pros: atmosphere is nice, lovely outdoor seating area. As someone who loves black coffee, quality is important unless I want a burnt or bitter cup. Their french press brew is perfect with just a hint of that bitterness - very good. I cant speak for the pastries as they were out of what I wanted, but thats on me - I went in the afternoon. Cons: Staff left a *lot* to be desired. Cashier was rude and far nicer to the people in front of me in line (dressed like characters from a Wes Anderson movie, mind you). Being dressed like a person and not a caricature, I did not interest her and was barely acknowledged. I suggest some unnecessarily large glasses or a wool beanie if you want quality customer service.

This place has very warm and welcoming decor with tons of unique accents (floor tiles, furniture, etc). Its really tight quarters inside, but there is a spacious outdoor patio with an herb garden and chicken coup. Its all quite quaint, but this charming decor isnt all this place has going for it. Their pastries are really good, and their coffee is even better, in my opinion. "Single origin coffee" seems to be the key phrase. They brew various single origin coffees on various days, and so far everyone of them Ive tried (medium or bold) have been delicious! Im glad this place is close enough to my house to frequent because one cant have too much great coffee, right?!

To find this place was one of the best things on our trip to San Antonio. My husband and I were looking for a place which is unique and has good food, and this was exactly what we found there. The place is beautiful, well decorated and cute, we felt very cozy there. The staff is truthfully friendly, even though they are not expecting to receive a tip. All the food is chosen and paid at the cashier and the staff brings the coffee or other items to your table. The french bread is homemade and fresh because it is made on the same day when it will be sold. The owner talked a lot with us and made us feel at a friends house. For sure we will come back again.

Excellent service! I was immediately greeted upon entering, which is always nice and set the tone for the visit. Everyone who worked there was polite. The quality of the coffee, food, and atmosphere exceeded expectations. The price of coffee and food was very fair, lower than other places nearby. The indoor decor was cozy and the ideal coffeehouse/bakery experience. There were two outdoor seating areas, the one in the back had a garden and chickens. I will definitely be coming back again. Its great that San Antonio has such a unique coffee shop.

Today, went in for an extra boost of caffeine halfway through the afternoon. It wasnt during their lunch rush, but they were still pretty busy. I asked one of the guys if they had sugar free flavors, to which he said no, but that he could make one for me for vanilla (my favorite). He went back to the kitchen, and made this concoction of vanilla extract and something else. Now Im drinking one of the best lattes Ive ever had made JUST for me and regretting only giving the guys a 15% tip. Kuddos to you, random guy that I always see working here!

First time for us but very nice ambience. We had the house coffee which was a spiced coffee. Excellent! Had breakfast tacos and shared a Nutella banana waffle with my sister in law and son. Plenty big enough. We sat out back where the chickens are. There is fake grass that was incredibly soft. My 14 month old son loved the chickens. Only complaint was when I needed a refill on coffee there wasnt anyone coming out to the back until much later. But Ill be coming back for sure.

The coffee and pastries are excellent. The settings are nice. The baristas are pleasant. Even the room temp is great. However, they play their music way too loud. It even filters through my noise canceling headphones. If they turn down the music a bit this place would be spot on. Since I have a hard time thinking through yet another Big band swing song, Ill unfortunately have to take off to somewhere else.

I absolutely loved this place. I visited during a trip to San Antonio and it was one of the great experiences I had while there. I got the French dip sandwich. It was very good. I also got a small cinnamon pastry which was delicious. Im not a huge coffee person, so I cant speak to the taste. However, the staff was very knowledgeable about their coffee selection and brewing processes.
