I usually never write reviews but this place is certainly deserving of one! The Ranch House is hands down my favorite restaurant. First off, the employees are the kindest people youll ever meet and go out of their way to remember you as well as your specific order. Not only are the employees kind but the food reminds me and everyone I bring of their grandmothers home cooking. The food is extremely cheap (roughly $5.50 for a huge breakfast or $9 for a large lunch) and the atmosphere makes you forget about anything that seems to be stressing you out. No matter how stressed I am from Architecture I always find time to go to the Ranch House!!

I love this place, I have been eating there since I was 1! I am 25 now and some of the waitstaff and cooks are still the same ppl!! The chickenfried steak is the best with mashed potatoes and rolls with a salad, a drink and homemade dessert with icecream for $6.00. Best place to go in a rush too, the line is out the door and you are at the end, and then in 5 mins, you are sitting at a table eating your lunch. Not a dress up place though, but a Lubbock High/TTU lunch hot spot,closed on sundays.

Took my family here for lunch and I can honestly say this is the first time I have left a restaurant hungry. I just could not force myself to finish the food. Our waitress was nice and that is the only good I can say. The food was bland and the chicken fried steak was small, greasy, and cold. The mashed potatoes were instant and coleslaw made everything on the plate taste like vinegar.

This is an absolutely no-nonsense diner. The food is excellent and the specials include a drink, the entree and dessert for one price. Cant beat it. The service is perfect! If you want one of their fabulous breakfasts, youd better be ready to wait in line if youre on time. Just dont be late. Life goes on and its now time for lunch. Get the message?

The Ranch House is a Lubbock institution! Good place to take visitors because you feel you have entered an old Lubbock time warp. I have eaten there many, many, many times and the service is always amazing! Great chicken fried steak, great breakfasts, and their mexican food is good, too! Inexpensive. Get there early or wait in line.

Overall experience was fantastic! We had a great time. I tried a couple items that I would not usually be comfortable with. Some were amazing, others didnt care for much, but our group loved them, so it is probably just my tastebuds. Waiter was great and very conscientious when recommendations! Definitely want to come back.

The Ranch House has excellent lunch specials. The atmosphere is that of an old school diner. Friendly staff and the service could not possibly be any faster. If you order the lunch special, youll be greeted by your food faster than you can unroll your silverware. Great food and great ownership.

“Amazing” This place is in my opinion is the best steak . I had the new York strip medium it was very delicious and most stakes that I have had the fat was very disgusting. The fat here was the best and so was the truffle mashed potatoes. I would definitely recommend this place

I go to the Ranch House when Im missing home cooked meals. Also all the waitresses remind me of my mom. Ive only been to lunch and only have gotten the chicken fried steak special. Cost about 8$ and comes with a salad, rolls, two sides, a desert and a drink!

While on the pricier side for Lubbock dining, the steaks are cooked to perfection and the asparagus and southwest mashed potatoes are delicious. I havent been back to Lubbock in almost nine years, and the food was still as good as I remembered it.

Best little hidden jem for breakfast foods in lubbock. Its got an old school feel to it.. but dont let the looks turn you off. There is a reason there us always a line here.. it is SO good.
