I hate to say this but awful just awful. I frequent this place often and decieded to recomend it to my grandparents in laws and my wife. Thier food was just awful. The service was horrible. My wifes enchiladas were covered in a tomato paste sauce with no flavor. She sent that back the the guy replaced it. But only after she flagged down anpther server for our serverbecause after 5 mins he did not come and check back with us. Never brought us extra napkins as requested. He was not even a few feet away serving other tables and never came by to check on us. My granpas food was the soft tacos and the meat on his tacos were flavorless and very greasy. After the plate that was sent back was brought back her chalupa had no meat on it and again we asked for more napkins. Our request went unheard again. The meal over all was sad excuse for mexican food. I can say that my grandmothers food was good but im sorry only an idiot can mess up cheese enchiladas. We will not come back for while if at all again. The most apauling thing tonight was he never once came back to our table to check if everything was ok even after the food was sent back we had to wave him down for togo boxes and the check at separete times because he would walk away to fast before we could say more than 2 words to him and worse off he never once told us his name. So i cant even tell u who it was. I wish oh god i wish we had the old los camales back with wonderous food and great service but oh well. Lost a customer.

The waiter was attentive and knew the menu. Service was great. The homemade chips that come with the queso were pretty good. Thats about where the good stuff stops. There is an attached bar that allows smoking, so the restaurant, and now myself, smells like smoke. We spent half our meal swatting flies from our plates. The queso is reminiscent of the cheese you get at the mall pretzel shop but watered down with pico in it. The avocados smelled rancid, so we didnt eat them. My husbands chopped steak in his food lacked any seasoning at all. The refried beans are like soup and ran over the plate. The menu also seemed very Americanized.

Oh my GOODNESS!!!! I HATE eggplant..but 110 percent recommend the eggplant with shrimp and scallops.. this was so unbelievably Wonderful...I have never tasted Anything like it before...there wasdo enchiladas with mushrooms...I forgot the actual name of the dish. And it sounds awkward....but in my goodness...most definitely a wonderfully yummmy dish. I learned quickly at this restaurant...stay away from the simple things like bean and cheese tacos and Crispy tacos because you might be disappointed..but instead.. order something you would normally never order like eggplant..and sit back and be amazed!!!!

We have always enjoyed eating at Los Comales. We had the whole family down this month and decided to go to Los Comales. There was absolutely nothing wrong with most of the food or service. Part way through dinner - there were 15 of us - my husband noticed a small roach on our grandsons plate. We asked for the manager and when he came, he apologized. He took that one meal off the bill. The thing is that we all stopped eating at this point because the incident made us loose our appetites. So our entire dinner was basically ruined., Dont know if we will go back there or not.

Waited 10 min for someone to come mind you we were the 1st customers of the day. We waited 20 min just so they could take our order. 2 more customers came in and they were attended to immediately and they got their food before us. How rude. Waitress was rude and I come here at least twice a week because I travel to work in rockport they juat lost my business. All the girls know me alreasy because i always place orders to go.

Food was very good. Chips and salsa were excellent. Unfortunately, the service was severely lacking. We visited their establishment after the noon rush and before the evening rush. The restaurant was not busy, no excuse for the poor service. Our server ignored us the entire meal, only checking on us when it was time for the check. What a shame we wont be going back, the food was good. Bit the service was nonexistent.

Fast service while half capacity. Seafood nachos would have been great if they hadnt been topped with tomato sauce. I didnt see where this was on the menu. I asked for everything on the side except for the seafood and cheese. It tasted like lasagna, almost. Queso was fair. Husband said the beef fajitas were good. Would probably come again, but would definitely skip seafood nachos.

Food was pretty good but we ordered it to go. Probably even better if had fresh. Service was a bit slow, and it was a slow night, so it can be better. Recheck your bill, to be sure you are not over charged. We brought this to their attention and it was adjusted without hesitation. Process have increased regardless of what specials you read about in line or on the menu.

I havent even got to eat here. Ive tried calling in a to go order today and it stayed busy from 6- 7:35 , Im guessing theyve left their phone off the hook, but it was very annoying to call back to back to back and not get anything but a busy signal. They need to resolve this issue, make sure they hung up after a phone call, or make sure phones are working.

The lady and I decided to grab a late lunch before heading out on to the road. We ordered the stuff jalapenos as appetizers and fried avocado with shrimp plate. We were both impressed with the quality of the food and taste of each item. Would definitely visit again whenever we come back down to the island.

Waited 15 min after we were seated to order drinks 28 minutes till we got water. I understand they are short handed. We have been here many times while in rockport. But I doubt we will be back again anytime soon. The food is good. ButTastes the same everywhere else. 40 minutes in and still no apatitizers.

I used to go here all the time. The place doesnt seem to have changed much. I went this weekend with my girlfriend. She ordered the enchiladas, I ordered the fajitas. The food was OK and the service was fine. We had a couple of margaritas and they were good. Maybe Ill go back, but not sure.

On a friends suggestion, ate here a couple days ago and the Fajitas Parrillas are absolutely by far THE best Fajitas I have ever had!! And great Margarita, too! And I agree with others here, great waitstaff and service made me want to travel the 3-4 hours and eat here again and again.

The food is excellent, but the service is really slow. Im not sure if theyre always just short-handed, or if they simply wont hire enough people to cover the crowd they always have. Either way, once you do actually get your meal, its the best Mexican food in a 30 mile radius, IMO.

Ohmygoodness! So delicious. authentic deep wonderful flavourful! I enjoyed the Grilled Chicken El Tarrasco with creamy mushroom sauce, the Stuffed fajitas chicken avocado, chips, salsa, guacamole and queso dip. Fantastic! This Texas girl found the Best Mexican Food in Texas!!!
